Terrific Service, great shippint, loved the cases and they performed great. I kinda regret 55w without proper projectors... I feel I blinded alot of people however I loved them. I had them on my 2013 Chevy Spark LS (Headlights and Fog lights), and my 1994 Lexus SC300 (Highs and Lows). The pics are from 2011 I just found the pics. I will order another set one day again. They were little pricey but worrrtthhh it.

I have literally bought three or four sets of 55 watt hid kits from them And I always end up with ballasts that burn out within a year. The only thing I am unhappy about with this company is the fact that they give you the run around when a problem arises. It's not thier product is always the answer. At least replace something without a song and dance when a loyal customer says there's a problem. I recommend buying the ballasts elsewhere Because the one's they ship are trash. Other than that everything else was great. (This part of my review is my response to his response). I wish I could post pictures of the emails. I did try to put a claim on a warranty. You are so full of it. You even blocked my email and made me create new one to get back in contact. You are a damn liar. And your products are garbage. In fact if people search for you and read some of the other reviews on the other sites they will see I'm not the only one that you did this to. 3/5/17 was the last time I placed an order for bulbs for my other vehicle. You may want to double check your records bud. Stop lying .. Ref # 26767 ring a bell? We understand that you are saying the ballast is no good and that you truly do not want our help in assisting you. We are that does not change anything in regard to the manufacturer and their warranty on the component excusing their requirement to place a claim, and we are sorry you feel that way. We'd offer to help with the non-working printer problem if you wanted our assistance.

Thank you,
Todd Strong - Retro-Solutions, LLC....... like I said stop lying ..

Terrible experience dealing with this company. After being misled with a guise of "Lifetime Warranty" I have now spent another $85.00 after my original $150.00 investment for HID head lights. The products are the same if you bought them on the cheap from some place else. They put stickers on their products trying to hide the cheap products that they are trying to pawn off as something special. ( You can find the same products for WAY cheaper online) I asked for a refund after three months because twice I had problems with their products. They said no. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Your better off going someplace else. Save yourself time and money. EDIT; I've contacted The BBB, Noticed that they had several complaints filed against them for their service and products.

I've been buying sets from these guys for almost 10 years, ever since I found them on ClubRSX. Here's a breakdown of how my experience has gone;

I ran a set of 55w H1 6k's on my RSX FOR 2 years, no issues.

55w 9007's on my 02 Impreza wagon, again no issues. The only issue I did encounter was that the wiring didn't work when I plugged it in, HOWEVER the owner went as far as to help me figure out why and it turned out it was the way Subaru's are wired. All I had to do was swap around 2 wires on the blue plug and it worked like a charm. Had these for about a year.

Ran a 55w D2S kit on my S2000. Never had a single problem, and the upgrade over the standard and old 35w bulbs was absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

Ran a same kit as above on my 04 TL, as well as a 55w H11 3000k kit in my fogs.

35w 9004 kit on my '92 LS400, and this one did give me an issue. I ended up having a ballast fail, however after following the troubleshooting procedure they instructed me to do to verify it was in fact the ballast, they replaced it under warranty without hesitation. There are no gimmicks, there is no run around. Sometimes they do get busy, but I've never actually waited more than a business day for a reply and that's typically uncommon.

My 2008 sti had 35w d2s 6000k bulbs, and 55w 3000k h10 I believe. Again, no failures.

Currently have 35w d2s and a 55w 3000k h11 on my TL-S. I recently had 1 bulb fail, but that was my fault.

One of my friends is going on year 7 on his H13 bi-xenon 55w kit on his 3000gt. No problems.

I've gone through maybe 3 or 4 35w D2S bulb sets on various cars I've owned. The longest I've had a set was 3 years in my Mini Cooper for 65,000 miles, and are still going strong. No discoloration unlike the stock faded ones.

Between my personal cars over the last 10 years, and all my friends/family that I've referred to Retro-Solutions there must be 40-50 kits sold and of those less than 5 total component problems. Anytime there was, the company never hesitated to honor their warranty. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt, more than likely I wouldn't be surprised if it's their competitors trying to smear their name.

I recently ordered a set of 55w ballasts. I received them and they are not working correctly. I immediately contacted the company to see if there is any way we can resolve this. They always blame the customer and it can never be their products issue. I have 10 plus years experience dealing with hids and they treat you like you re a complete idiot. I emailed them to see if I can send them back for a refund being that they weren t even installed for 5 minutes and quit working. They refused to refund me saying since they are clearance items that there are no way shape or form refundable. I would definitely steer clear of this company because once they have your money, that s all they care about. I tried to buy American and sadly was let down. I would look elsewhere for any of your lighting needs.

Responding to Retro Solutions comment:

You guys are quick to respond to a review post but can t get a hold of your company by phone and emails take a day to respond to. If you look at the many emails I sent, I stated that I have the correct wiring harness with a capacitor and relay to power the ballasts. 3 other companies ballasts work with my setup no issues. They are 55w as well. I was looking to upgrade to an American companies ballasts so I can have someone to contact if there were problems or concerns about something. The customer service you provide is not satisfactory by any means. It s easy to refuse by email if you don t answer your phone. Just to make sure it wasn t my setup, I plugged another ballast into the harness right after these wouldn t work and my setup worked just fine. All I am asking for is to send these back for a refund. I am not asking for another set or for these to be tested. You guys must really stand by your products if you don t even refund them.

I have used this company twice. The first time a few years ago and had no problems. I used them again in Dec 2015 and one of my ballasts has already quit. I installed the kit following the instructions exactly and use dielectric grease where specified. The quality of their product is not good. They use cheap Chinese junk light kits. Their "lifetime warranty" is a joke. Once they get your money they run and you will never see it again!
