I have been to all of Gordon Ramsey s restaurants or ex reataurants in London and I enjoyed the experience and meal here more than hospital road which is also excellent. Great wine list and fantastic food. Probably had about 20-30 dinners/ breakfasts and is high up on my favourite eating experiences. The service in this place may be the best I have ever experienced.

Unforgettable experience. All courses were sublime- especially the rhubarb dessert, which my wife rated as the best dessert she had ever tasted. Really friendly and helpful staff made the experience complete. It was great to be able to visit the kitchen and thank the pastry chef in person!

Lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to go to Petrus for lunch and was completely blown away by the food and the friendly helpful and efficient service. Fantastic - and I have not found many other places to compare with it. Yes it was in my view expensive but so worth it and I thoroughly recommend booking if you get the opportunity.

I just had a very pleasing dining experience in this place. Convenient transport to get here but no unpleasant noises can be heard from streets. All the dishes are very well flavored and presented. The sweet and creamy taste of dessert pear is balanced by fresh pear pieces which is by far the best dessert I had in the UK. What I don t like is that the starter made by scallop is a little bit too salty. I mean as a starter, it should not be too much flavored that it might numb one s tastebuds when having the main.

Great experience. Service was amazing - staff were very attentive and actually interacted with us, which you don't always get with restaurants like this. Food was absolutely lovely - we had the set menu lunch menu and all of it was brilliant. Loved the extras in between courses. Filled us both up too. Not dreadfully expensive - so very happy. Would definitely recommend and I hope to be back soon.

Went as part a Virgin Experience. The restaurant looks like it's past its best; the decor is dated and parts are worn down. As for the food, we both found it disappointing. The quality of the ingredients are clearly very high but the execution left a lot to be desired. The part of the meal we enjoyed the most was the bread. The staff were attentive and professional though a little intrusive

I came here with my sister for a three course lunch. As a Christmas present my sister gave me a gift voucher for two people to go to the restaurants. Because we are both huge fans or Gordon Ramsay we thought it would be good if we went. When we arrived the professionalism was extremely high. I remember when a cordial and it was fantastic. Throughout the three course meal mini bites and appetizers were given to us which were also fantastic. of course this restaurant is expensive but the quality, taste and presentation of the food is exceptional. I hope to go to more Gordon Ramsay restaurants like this in the future. 5/5

Fantastic food, brilliant service and wines I never realised existed. The service was impeccable. The quality of the tasting menu overlooking the kitchen was a real treat. The fish courses were thought through in detail and executed to perfection. The sweetbread was also tremendous. My only point of disappointment were the rest rooms. Somewhat inadequate for such an establishment. Having said that the layout with the bottles of wine in the middle in a circular glass housing is a great feature.

I was panning to introduce Michelin starred cuisin...

I was panning to introduce Michelin starred cuisine to a good friend and wanted to be sure that the restaurant would tick all boxes of a classic one star. I was told that Petrus could be a good match for that.

Interior/impression:
Just right, nothing experimental, classy by not old.
Big plus: All tables seem to have a great view and position within the room.

Food:
Remarkable attention to details, cooked to a high standard and delicious but nothing really exceptional. Serves the expectations of a one star restaurant well and is slightly above the middle of that scale.

Three points why I lowered my rating:

1. The facilities were not equipped with towels when we arrived. I must say that we joined the restaurant right after opening but that is not an excuse. After I mentioned that I did not had the impression that the staff was actually sorry for me getting out of the lavatory with wet hands. Later, most simple paper towels were placed there, which just looked terrible. A total knock out - I should have taken a picture of that.

2. The head waiter - at least I think he was in that role - was too direct and fast. When he approached us and asked how we like the course he said the following: "Was it good ... right?" He made a pause for around 2 seconds after he asked before saying "right" with such certainty that he was expecting nothing but approval just before one wants to actually answer him. He did that on multiple occasions and I seemed to be the same with the table next to us. A truly irritating and annoying manner.

3. Value for money is partly disproportional and the fact that this is London does not justify that. The tasting menu comes at GBP 120 and sets high expectations as this is one of the rater expensive ones in London for one Michelin star. As often, I ordered an additional main - the waitress suggested a simple pasta with cheese knowing that is should be quick and easy. Sometimes this supplement dish may even be complimentary, often it s charged reasonably but here full GBP 50 appeared on the bill, which feels like nearly half the menu and is beyond all good manners. In the end I felt properly betrayed because the pasta I received so far away from GBP 50 as a Fiat from a Ferrari.

My verdict/impression: Petrus may impress distant travellers with a solid but pricey menu but the restaurant is not an institution were local gourmets would come frequently.

Very hospitable, friendly and great food. The staff were considerate. Sometimes, the language barrier was strong to the point of impairing communication. Yes it's not cheap. But what an experience !

Fantastic every time! Whether it's for lunch or dinner service we have found Petrus to be one of the best Michelin restaurants for both food and service in London. My next reservation is already in for January!

For the price, with the voucher we had, the meal was good. Would've been disappointed if we paid full price. Lamb a little chewy. Certainly nothing exceptional. Nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff.

I don't think I can speak highly enough about this restaurant. Food is of course spectacular, but the staff cement the experience as one of my best. Each member of staff made us feel as if we were regulars and even freinds of the business. That sort of service is nearly impossibe to accomplish without coming off as contrived.

This restaurant is so fantastic! We did the 3-course lunch. Each course comes with a fun little surprise dish (including scalloped potatoes for the entree!!! and a mini-ice cream cone with dessert). The staff was amazingly attentive, and the atmosphere was very good. I recommend the lunch option for anyone on a budget that still wants to enjoy a truly great meal in London.

Elegant and delicious food - beautifully presented and surprisingly unpretentious. Extremely well-informed, discreet and charming service. A very enjoyable way to have a very grand and pampered evening out.

Put simply food does not get better than this. Outstanding experience from the moment you walk through the door. The balance between the dinning experience and the quality of the dishes is perfectly balanced. Depth of flavour is amazing as is the occasional explosion of flavour that hits you like a freight train. The highest of accolades, amazing.

Great food. Me and my wife got the tasting menu and since she was pregnant they quickly replaced each course she couldn t eat. We were catered to extremely well upon arrival. But unfortunately the longer we were there we became forgotten about. I ordered the wine pairing and the worker took my wine glass before I could get wine. We were given desert menus despite the fact we ordered the tasting menu. So many people in the restaurant looked confused or did not have a clue what was going on. Everyone kept running into each other. Our server did not come to our table after the 2nd or 3rd course. Our food would be waiting on the tray with the red coat employees and the red coat employees would end up serving it. This was not the issue. The issue was our server saw this but decided to ignore it and move on. You do not go to Michelin 1 star restaurants and spend that amount of money and expect to be ignored. It was sad and a huge let down. Great start but terrible after that. Luckily the food was good but probably will not return.

The champagne reception was lovely and the welcome was great. However, a short while after we were shown to our table, the waitress said we had to keep the noise down because the chefs couldn't concentrate and that they could hear us upstairs. This was nonsense, you couldn't hear anything from upstairs. The manager, Larry? then came down and told us to keep the noise down. When we contested, he simply walked off. We could not believe what had just happened. We tried several times to have follow up conversations with him. I eventually said I was going to make a formal complaint about it, his words to me were 'go for it'. So unprofessional.

At this point, my wife's 40th birthday had been ruined, she was very upset and I was left thinking, i've paid a lot of money for this experience and we have been told by a very arrogant 25 year old to keep the noise down like naughty children in a classroom, unbelievable.

Eventually my wife then spoke to Larry separately and after a while he then apologised to us all and offered a complimentary drink. I have to say, the minute we got told to keep the noise down when we were not particularly noisy, definitely set the tone for the evening. We were made to feel like an inconvenience by the manager and the head chef, who I believe did not even make eye contact with us once. We felt like we were a nuisance to everyone. I assume anyone booking the kitchen table is generally celebrating something and will be making some noise, if that's not acceptable at Petrus, you shouldn't put a table in the kitchen in my opinion.

The atmosphere was dry and the lack of interaction with the kitchen had everything to do with that.

I've never complained about a restaurant before and certainly didn't expect to be complaining about this experience and won't be recommending it.

We have never been dissapointed at any restaurant that Gordon Ramsay is associated with... Petrus is right there with the best of them. Delicious, perfectly executed food from the first bite to the last. Service fell a bit short at the end... But that didn't detract from the wonderful experience and wonderful food. Thank you for the amazing dining experience.

The food at Petrus is very good and well executed, but not amazing as you would expect of a Michelin starred restaurant. Having eaten at many other similarly starred restaurants, Petrus sadly lacks the "wow" factor of Michelin star dining, and with so many other amazing restaurants in London to experience (starred or otherwise), Petrus sadly just can't keep up with the competition.

Another one of Gordon Ramsay restaurant. My wife and I had our dinner there. We had the 3 course set a-la-carte. It was really delicious and worth the visit. There are many fine dining restaurants are over rated but I honestly think this place is good. Will come back again when I visit London next time.

I have been here many times and its one of my favourite restaurants. However I went 16/10/20 and they only had a tiny taster menu as an option. No al a carte at all. And no warning this was going to be the case. Apparently new deals for suppliers etc was going on. I don't think this is acceptable especially as it was for my wife's birthday lunch. Bitterly disappointed. The food we did have was excellent of course. But this is not ok.

Exquisite experience here! Opted for the set menu which did not disappoint. As someone who does not frequent restaurants of this caliber (and price) regularly, it feels good to choose wisely when you do, and this was a great choice! Each course, amuse bouche, palate cleanse, even the bread basket with imported French butter were all creative, and thoughtful use fresh delicious ingredients! The set menu varies, so if you arrive with your heart set on something (as I did), don t be too disappointed because anything you choose will be a great experience, it s just that sort of place!

I attended Petrus on Saturday for the lunch menu with my wife and clients, we all had a amazing experience the food , wine tasting was probably the best I have ever experienced, I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and I have to be honest and say this is No 1 on my list, a huge thank you must go to the chefs, waiting staffing for a most perfect lunch.

What an amazing dining experience we had when we came for lunch on Saturday, we chose from the A la carte menu and paying the extra for the lobster and wild turbot was certainly worth every penny! The food was exquisite and the attention we received from the staff was absolute first class (Vlad was particularly attentive although we felt extremely well looked after by each and every staff member) . Definately the best dining experience we have ever had by far. We shall definately return!

What can I say? This place was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. From the incredibly warm welcome we received when we arrived to the unanimous goodbye when we left...this place upped the anti in every conceivable way. The service was the best we have EVER experienced in any restaurant anywhere in the world and made it not just a meal but an experience to remember. The stand out dishes were cheesy churro as a canape, the belly pork for main and the chocolate raspberry dessert was truly life-changing. Paired up with some delicious champagne, port and wine, this was truly a night that will stand out in all of our years of hunting for the best restaurants in our travels. A quick kitchen tour affirmed our decision to book the chefs table in just a weeks time. It would feel overindulgent to say this would become our local go-to restaurant...but I think it might have become just that. An absolute credit to the Ramsay name, delightful, contemporary yet opulent surroundings and a team that literally can't do enough for you. This is fine dining at it's best and service that is so efficient, professional, yet friendly and informal that it feels like it was taken right out of a perfect customer service book. Thank you for an incredible evening and we will see you soon at the Chef's Table.

I wish I could give 6 stars. Just delicious. Had the degustation menu with pairing wines. The timing between courses was perfect. Allow for a three hour seating and don't forget to ask for a visit of the glass wine cellar located at the centre of the restaurant. Enjoy!

We enjoyed the set lunch for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful experience. The food was very good (although not exquisite) but the serving staff were absolutely fantastic and really elevated the experience for us. We were very warmly welcomed, exceptionally well looked after throughout the afternoon and never felt uncomfortable or out of place which can unfortunately be the case in some high end restaurants. I'd go happily return knowing we'd be in safe hands. Thank you for a fab afternoon!

Wow!

Wow!
What an amazing restaurant!
From the design, the stuff, the food, OMG the food was absolutely amazing!
When ever I'll come back to London, I would definitely come again they are also very helpful with any food allergies or special diet.

I had high expectations and high standards as I used to manage a James Beard restaurant in the USA and wanted to see how a Michelin Star is to be run.

8p Monday reservation. Started with two glasses of champagne at the recommendation of the Sommelier. Tasting menu for two, and another glass of red paired with the duck entree.
Pacing was impeccable.
The flavors and presentation were perfect on all courses with the tomato sauce with the Cod being my least favorite. Most amazed by a red-pepper gazpacho amuse the texture, flavor, simplify blew me away.
Spoke with a manager after we finished and he was kind enough to show my wife and I the kitchen and happened to be able to be introduced to Russ, the head chef.
Only minor error: I was drinking still water and my wife had sparkling and a server poured opposite easily and quickly remedied.

This has been one of the most perfect experiences, we came here the first time for my birthday and will definitely be back. Service was flawless, got a tour of the kitchen and complementary birthday desert. I would recommend to everyone and for what you get the price is more than reasonable. Thank you to all the team for making us feel welcome

I took my daughter, boyfriend and partner for the Four course lunch as a late Xmas present. The experience was fabulous, the food delicious and the staff second to none. We also had a visit to the kitchen where Jocky the head chef explained the concept of the food we had eaten and was happy to chat with us, making the whole xperience absolutely Fabulous, big thanks to all the staff at Petrus, hope to visit again soon.

I have to say the fine dining experience here is Amazing...I had the dinner a month ago and all the waiter and waitress paid so much attention on you to make sure you have everything you need..two of my friends are vegetarian and they have tried their best to cater their need and trying to make the dish suitable for them...for the wine, sommelier also introduced a few wine for us ...quality of food is amazing ...we all had the tasting menu but it s more than enough for you to have a bit of everything...you definitely need to book in advance and it s highly recommended if you celebrate anniversary or birthday here ...

Good service and good food! One of my favourite dish was this extra large Orkney scallop. It was pan-roasted before being placed on top of a creamy and rich sabayon egg and bacon sauce. The scallop was perfectly cooked and had nice natural sweetness. It was topped with finely chopped chives for a light onion flavour.
