Hands-down, best vegan food I've had... ever! Everything tastes just like (or better) than the real thing. It's worth the hype.

Best place if you're looking for vegan southern food. Could even convince a non vegan to fall in love.

I m obsessed and I live in Cincinnati - what does that tell you?

This place is really great. Wonderful staff. Neat artistic atmosphere. Little shop to buy some vegan wares and snacks and a full service kitchen offering a full vegan menu - what s not to like? Try the Farby - you ll love it. You re welcome.

So, the only thing stopping me from saying 5 stars is a serious lack of seating. Have a back up plan of you intend on eating there.

That aside, I ordered the diner burger with an impossible Patty. No kidding, after my first bite I was a little unhappy because I thought I tasted bacon (not a vegan or vegetarian. Just like all food!) And I didn't want a heavy taste. It is really, really great as far as a vegan burger goes. The kombucha is great, too!

Definitely going to go back and try their other burger for comparison.

Really cool concept! Wish there were more fresh options or basics that weren't all just imitation of non-vegan items. Loved the wings and the caesar salad, would not reorder the Kim chi chili.

**EVERYTHING IS VEGAN**
Absolutely amazing experience. We loved the food (my vegan friend described it as omnivore-fooling good ), the service was decently fast for peak lunchtime, and the staff were all super nice. We had the Pizza Burger and the Farbys (fake-Arby s) Burger, and both were terrific. We WILL be back, and we will work our way through the rest of the menu.
There s also a refrigerated section for quick bites or grab and go snacks, and a small shop at the back that sells hard to find vegan ingredients (hello, vegan marshmallows!). Must-visit place for vegans and vegetarians, but meat eaters would love it, too!

Only concern would be the small seating area. With such a popular locale serving great food, it makes sense it gets a little crowded. Unfortunately there s no sort of waiting system on the tables, so it s awkward trying to claim a table while still leaving room for the staff to clean up (without someone sneaking in and taking it first). It would be great if they would possibly implement a number system for the tables (ex: order 10 gets the next table that comes up, and if they take their food to go, it moves to order 11). If you go during peak dining hours, it s best if you keep the option open to take the food to go.

I'm so glad we stopped on the way out of Louisville! These people can cook some outrageously good food. Everything I tasted was amazing.... flavor, texture, on point..... but the best thing was the Horsey sauce! I'm pretty sure you could put that on an old shoe and it would be delicious.

Good atmosphere & good vegan food! Highly recommended vegan or non vegan!

Love this restaurant! As a vegan for nearly two years, this place is a heaven-send, especially when it comes to going somewhere for a quick lunch or dinner! Even if you aren't vegan, this place is worth trying out just because the flavors are phenomenal! The only issue I have is that seating can be a bit of an issue, just because they don't have that much of it. Other than that, everything else is on point!

Today I brought the whole fam and everyone loved the food, even my meat-eater family. It's high quality and delicious. Everyone should come in and try it.

One of my FAVORITE vegan establishments. I'm so thankful for this restaurant. I feel like it has opened many doors for other vegan places to open up, and opened my people's eye to the fact that just because it's vegan, doesn't mean it can't be amazing comfort food. There isn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. My absolute favorite meal to order is the diner burger with either mac n cheese, or potato salad. Some of the best potato salad I've ever had too! There are plenty of different options to choose from, as well as a deli case and many take-home items like pizza! I love that there is also a little store where I can pick up some vegan essentials like nooch, marshmallows, alfredo sauce, etc! There's also an amazing baker who works there (@sugarhighlouisville) and if you go in at the right time, you can grab some of her amazing cakes, muffins, pop tarts, and many other little things! I love this place! (the menu pictured is not the current menu, as it's ever changing, just wanted to give an idea of what's offered!)

Absolutely the best veggie burger I've ever had in my life! Also, curly or waffle fries (like there's any other kind worth shoving in your face)! I usually feel surprised when I can even tolerate vegan food meant to mimic meat dishes...but I was so beside myself after my first few bites that I was already setting up lunch dates with friends. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

The food is incredible. Deeply impressed with this cafe and I'm not even a vegan.

The food is awesome and I really enjoyed it, unfortunately they closed the food part and only sell the vegan jerky.

What an amazing place! We ordered the Philly cheese steak fries, sliders, and Chick - faux - le sandwich. The fries are a real standout, but everything was quite good. Would love to come back agaon

The food looked great along with my Kentucky kombucha. However, the sandwich that I was served had burnt top bun. I didn't take a picture but when I approach the server about it they give me a new bun. I know they were busy but something as simple as a bun should not be an issue with a restaurant. I wasn't too impressed which I hate to say because their food always looks amazing in their marketing.

Finally made it to Morel s and it s easily my new favorite spot in Louisville. Everyone says Louisville is a food town and Morel s honors that statement. This place is so awesome it would be a form of showing off if you recommended it to out of towners.

First off its important to note I am not a vegan. I love meat and they did the vegan food right here. I preferred the fake chicken sandwich here to the real one.

Super yummy food for all those cravings for regular food that we sometimes get. It is not the most healthy option though (lots of salt and oil). Atmosphere is pretty laid back and the music is always great.

Literally the best place in louisville. I only wish I made more money so I could buy more Morels and live within walking distance. The Chick Faux Le has helped me make strides in eating significantly less meat and animal products in general. Love y'all so much.

Had the Farby's meal, it was delicious! Nice atmosphere, good service. It is a cafe though so you order at the counter and bus your own plates, etc. Will be back to try other items for sure!

I was pleasantly surprised the faux Burger actually had the taste that I was looking for I will be back. I was just disappointed in the lack of options for non soy products.

Everything is absolutely amazing! The scenery is super chill and the food, the food is exquisite! My favorite vegan hot wings, buffalo chicken dip, and Mac and cheese.

Really like Morels Cafe, the staff was friendly, the food was good and the space was interesting. The covered fries appetizer was very very good. The bratwurst was also very good, lots of mustard! The burger my friend had was also good, I'm told. The greens were very garlicky - these were my least favorite, not sure why I usually love kale and garlic.
I'll be going back.

The food here is incredible. Love the impossible burger. I usually get whatever the special is because it's always so good. The wings are also awesome. I prefer the curly fries, but my wife likes the waffle fries. Great desserts too. Also, pick up a bag of there vegan jerky.

Highly recommend Morel's cafe for vegans and non-vegans alike. Awesome food and amazing atmosphere, this vegan cafe is a must stop in Louisville!

AMAZING vegan restaurant. They have great portions and they prices are standard for vegan restaurants. It s the best place to go when you re really craving junk food. Their Philly cheesesteak fries are awesome and a must try.

A really amazing hipster vegan place! They have a fake Arby's sandwich called the farby, definitely a must-try.

This was by far the most amazing vegan food I've ever tasted. I wanted to cry and hug the staff. The atmosphere was perfect, everything was very clean and it's a great location. I will be a life long customer from here on out. Thank you for this experience, I fully recommend this place to everyone!!!

Amazing vegan restaurant. The BBQ sliders and the Farby are very tasty. The homemade pop tarts are better than the original versions. The vegan muffeletta is so deceiving that you would swear you were in New Orleans eating one.

Very nice vegan cafe in Louisville. If anybody is ever in the area, I highly recommend them!

My daughter took me for lunch. Yum! Pulled pork sandwiches were out of this world. Chicken wings were fantastic as well. Texture was funky but nicely fried and crispy with teriyaki sauce. Thanks Sharon.

I'm sorry, but I'm vegan, and don't begin to get the appeal of this overpriced "restaurant". I ordered the famous roast beef and cheddar sandwich, and with two little flimsy pieces of vegan deli meat in between way too much sloppy cheeze on a huge dry bun, it was barely worth even trying to eat it. I decided to go buy a few goodies from the deli case instead, but after being rang up for almost $30 for two small pastries and the equivalent of a vegan Reeses cup, I paid but decided I'd never frequent this overhyped joint again.

Food was good but staff acts like they don't need you there. They should at least put a fake smile on their face. Other than that food was really good.

We love Morels Cafe. Delicious vegan food that even omnivores love. We are sad that they are closing.

A very great atmosphere with great people great food and the staff is awesome

Food was great, but gave a 3 rating bc for first timer traveling back to Cincy, I am not pleased with customer service. It was Sunday so very busy, and they had to put to-go orders in simply because tables were full (not complaining about that) but they told me when a table opens up o could sit.... Which was my desire.

I saw a couple walk in and they must have knew someone who worked there so they got a table before me, and they sat down before even ordering. The order counter is a line you go in before sitting and it wasn't fair because I saw the girl get up from her table and was on my way to sit and enjoy my meal but because the couple knew someone they got the table before me. A bit disatisfied so I had to eat in my car... :(

This place is amazing, I eat here at least once a week. The food is great, everyone that works there is very friendly and the general modern vibe of the place is outstanding.

Great vegan food that can satisfy your meaty cravings

We were visiting Louisville and found this great place to eat vegan food. I'm not a vegan; however, i do eat vegan food and this place has delicious vegan food. We will definitely stop by on our next trip, even if we need to detour to get here . Overall great place with cool atmosphere and most important - excellent and very tasty vegan food !!!

This place is vegan AMAZING! ! went for first time with a vegan friend and our 2 girls ages 10 and 12. Staff was super nice, the lady even opened cheese up so I could try it, I ended up getting some!! I had the chicken sandwich which felt so hearty and "meaty!" My daughter had the farby, which she ate in no time loving it!! I managed to get a small bite and it was fabulous!! We also sampled the buffalo dip that was crazy good! And I bought some of that to take home too!!. Very trendy atmosphere, family friendly and food that would appeal non vegan too! Can't wait to take my (meat eater) husband here!!

Jackfruit is my new BFF! Friendly staff, cool tunes, nice remodel. Don't really see any downside to this place, not to mention I was there at 3pm and it was still busy. Highly recommend!

This was the first place I ate vegan food. The texture was different than I expected but overall it tasted pretty good.

This place is amazing! Great atmosphere and yummy food! Everything is vegan but it is great for non vegans as well. Even my picky toddler enjoyed! I loved the Farby! Also ordered the wings... and I have craved them every day since!

Freaking delicious! Been there 4 times already and never let's me down. Messy, cheesy, meaty, tatery, you name it they got it dude! Very Portlandia feel to the place too so you will feel like a hip cat! Took my meat eating beer guzzling family there and they dug it too!

Was my first time at Morels. Have heard nothing but great things about the place and wanted to come check it out myself before they closed. I had the chicken sandwich but was not informed that it was made out of a cashew-based breading. I am severely allergic to all tree nuts - so you can imagine how that went... I called back and explained my situation and instead of receiving my money back, instead I was given a very obscure, wishy-washy apology. Honestly just a very unfortunate series of events.

I feel happiest when I'm cramming Morels' buffalo chicken dip down my gullet. A close second is the entire rest of the rotating menu. I love everything I have had here and I love bringing nonvegan friends here to show them just how far food has come since the days of mixing tomato paste and peanut butter, boiling it, and calling that...meat?

Getting kombucha on tap is certainly a plus, and the staff is always knowledgable and friendly af. I wish I was made of money so I could spend it all here.

My family visits here about once a week, we are never disappointed! Keep an eye out for their specials and desserts! It can get easily crowded due to their small seating area. So be prepared to have to get your food to go or wait for a seat.

Delicious food. Disappointed by the tone deaf cook book on their shelves. Selling a cook book written by white men called, "Thug Kitchen," isn't appropriate and offensive to the PoC community who have long been demonized using this same terminology.

I've heard so many good things about Morel's and they were all true. The worst part was trying to decide what to order, everything looked delicious. I ordered the Korean sliders with a Fancy AF side buffalo ranch "chicken" salad. The salad was teeny tiny but oh man, it was so good. The sliders were very good too but next time I'm 100% getting a large salad. My friend got the Farby with dill potato salad.. WOW. She let me have a bite of the sandwich and it was amazing! You do NOT have to be vegan/vegetarian to appreciate Morel's. Highly recommend if you're looking for a casually hip spot w good food.

Stopped in for a couple of Kentucky Kombuchas on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Great little place. Food smelled terrific and the atmosphere was pleasant.
