Not worth the price. The food is good, the personnel is careful, maybe too much sometimes, but it's overly expensive for what it is. I can eat at least as good as that, maybe not in a place as "chic" as this one, but for less than half the price.

Very disapointed. We ordered a risotto that tasted like burnt, almost inedible. The waitress does nothing to fix the situation. I order a cappuccino in the desert: undrinkable. It was anything but a cappuccino.
Very nice setting but I advise against it for the value for money.

This place is a Chatelain classic. If you have never been, then go for the atmosphere and for having been there at least once. But food is slightly overpriced and you can find better quality around the Chatelain for a smaller purse.

I already visited this restaurant for the 3rd time.
The price-quality ratio is excellent, you are in the most expensive area of Brussels ....
Beautiful interior.
Staff is short on busy moments.
The oyster bar and the interior make this restaurant special.

The entrance door just crossed, the visitor takes full
view ; the place is indeed an old Art Nouveau style Hardware
(early twentieth century) whose decor elements have been preserved to maintain the original atmosphere. The big clock above the steps, the interlacing of metals and wood; the whole contributes to maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere. Tables on three balconies-floors. Pre-ordered ergo food, not so good, but a la carte seemed to be good.

Epic and historic setting in a stylish Brussels neighbourhood. Good quality Belgian dishes (esp seafood) and delicious fresh frites. A little expensive and very busy but still worthwhile to visit.

Crowded, chic but not too much - the service is young and friendly - and above all expensive, very expensive compared to the first brewery of the name, in the 80's and 90's. The wine list: phew it hits! There remains the decor of the old hardware store, which is always worth a look with its walls lined with drawers like Mundaneum. And its mezzanine tables.

The charm of the decor of the past, the welcome and kindness of the staff very attentive, the very good food, in a word: everything has pleased me.
I gave the map of the restaurant to my neighbors who often go to Brussels.

Nice restaurant. Packed on Saturday evening. We took the plateau royal of sea food. A pity that this is just a lot of sea food and isn't accompanied by a side dish or whatsoever. Staff were friendly but slow. Good was good.

Beautiful decor from an old hardware store. We have known this place since its beginnings. Our last visits were disappointing. Low quality of the dishes served. Success (clientele of follower sores) is sometimes at the origin of these failures. Too much ease is detrimental to the quality ... too bad we liked it more than 30 years ago. We were young and beautiful, but we are still so in love. Life is Beautiful.

Nice place. The food is good there. But no welcome, the entrance is an absolute desert (even after paying the bill, no goodbye, no one to thank us for our visit ... yet just before leaving I told myself that the waiter was really nice ...

I like the decor, but that's about it. It was too hot inside, huge wait times to be brought the menu, huge wait times until someone came to get the order and so on. Steak was bland and way too chewy, the only good parts were the pepper sauce and the fries. Dessert not impressive at all. Huge prices for the food quality, wouldn't go there again.

I never liked this place. I had to go because of a social meal. I have eaten a bad oyster, and I blame them all the more because since then, I have become intolerant and I am sick every time, while I adore them.

On the advice of acquaintances living in Brussels, we booked a table in this restaurant (via their site). Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found the door closed !!! Other than an email confirming our reservation, we had no news from the restaurant. Really not serious!

Big disappointment, especially in relation to the price. My friends had a rare Holstein steak at 39 and it was very rubbery.

My Caesar salad (23-25 ) was not extra: flat, chicken (presented as top-of-the-range Bresse chicken) had no taste and there was a piece of cartilage by two pieces of bacon. As if the cook had not put any effort into cleaning. The shrimp croquettes were good. No commercial gesture for the failed dishes.

Finally 140 (not including the reduction resto.be) for a entre and two very average dishes and some drinks. Very bad value for money.

If you have the time, make your way to this restaurant, it's well worth it. The restaurant location is amazing. It has this old look with a modern twist, almost like a steampunk feel. When I arrived I was promptly welcomed by the host and seated. They offer a three course meal for 36 Euros which gives you lots of good options. But I opted for a la carte. I ordered the butternut squash soup with a mushroom and truffle cream on top, the shrimp croquette, and the duck confit. The soup was very tasty and creamy, you could taste a little of the earthiness of the truffle. The croquettes were OK, I was expecting a chunkier texture with pieces of shrimp. But it was a pure, so it was kind of bland. The duck confit was very good, it was cooked perfectly and the mustard sauce with potatoes and leeks was excellent. Good wine selection and spirits. Try their Principal wheat beer if you like beers, it's good.

I normally love this place. But yesterday, I was very disappointed. My friend, her husband and I had to wait for 50 minutes to get our drinks (just a small bottle of wine and water) and more than 1,5 hour to receive our food. We were seated at the tables in front of the restaurant. Clearly there was a shortage of staff. We were barely able to see the waiters. And it was obvious that the waiters were overwhelmed with the amount of clients and when we asked, told us that 2 of their colleagues called sick. But if there is such a shortage, the restaurant can simply reduce the number of tables and for one night maintain the quality and earn a bit less... it was not a pleasant experience especially considering the value for money...

Nice decor set. Waiter good enough for all the tables he has to serve.

They gave me seriously disgusting wine, which on my comment appears to have been left in a corner open for several days. Guys, if you count pennies, then at least do it well and taste it before serving it... Or maybe that is not even your level any more.

The rest was pretty much basic brasserie food despite a more premium price tag. Counting pennies gents?

Food was really disappointing. Service was underwhelming at best. Seats were uncomfortable because you can't sit straight if you're taller than 1,40m. Vegetarians will be bored. Not worth it. By the way, did I mention a piece of cake is EUR 12? It boggles my mind how they came up with that price. They sell a whole cake for EUR 144. Good lord, what is wrong with these people.

Someone in the reviews here actually recommended ordering the lemon tart (yes, the one that's EUR 12 per piece). You have lost touch with people who have to work for their money.
