Staff friendly and helpful, not impresses with room, good views but curtains had water stains and falling down, bathroom water stains and rust on floor and door rotten on bottom and just painted over. Breakfast good but toilets in the foyer were disgusting had not been cleaned and would put you off eating there. Not a 4 star hotel and overpriced.

Always enjoy staying here, however had a shared platter recently was very nice but on using the restroom / toilet, noticed they had been renovated sometime ago and done on the cheap ie painted tiles and grout which was showing signs of wear. Would be nice if the owners could bring the whole place up to current world standards .

Basic necessities covered, don't hold your breath on bar staff customer service. Elevator from beach side is DANGEROUS for small children or if you're not paying attention.
Decore is mediocre for a 3 star. Unacceptable for 4 star.
Nice proximity to the beach and that is pretty much all you're paying for.

Would like to give a better score because in general very good but one major problem was heavily soiled pillows and no protectors. I have been using this hotel for five years and have complained about this before but seems to be a bad house keeping problem.

I wrote too early, gorgeous view, nice big room... But... Enough towels for a single person provided (room for 4), tv didn't work, bathroom didn't lock and a noisy AC. To top it off when I tried to exit the carpark it said I hadn't paid and wanted $50... Fortunately resolved over the intercom saying that I didn't validate the ticket (which... Isn't what happens apparently when you hand over a ticket to pay...). But.. the view was lovely.

Unfortunately nothing appears to have changed in many years. On our last years ago, the bathroom ceiling collapsed in the middle of the night. We were given a room change but no other compensation despite many emails. Now this weekend, we ordered breakfast in the room for two. Coffee in takeaway cups. No sugar. No spoons. Two poached eggs, one yoke missing the other wasn't cooked. One napkin. One salt/pepper sachet. Also the food at the convention we attended was close to frozen. The sunset was amazing.

I am from Perth and the Rendezvous has been around...

I am from Perth and the Rendezvous has been around for as long as I can remember. It is an older hotel but well known with a good reputation.
I wanted to stay by the beach and have access to a pool for my birthday weekend which is why i chose this place.
The lobby is beautiful; the staff were efficient but as soon as I entered my room I felt a huge anticlimax.
The price I paid suggested the hotel had kept its luxurious title and not stayed in a time warp from days gone by.
However, the room was dated. 70's style carpet, flat bed, an older bathroom. Nothing at all impressive to make me feel an urge to never leave the room and get room service.
Oh well, I intended to stay by the pool anyway. Once I reached the pool area, I was slapped in the face with another disappointment. There was nowhere to lounge, it was so busy, people were sitting on the ground on towels. There was no spot to park ourselves and looking at the pool filled with squealing children, I realised I wouldn't be comfortable in the pool anyway.
There was literally no room in the pool to swim - it was teeming with carers and children. I have never seen a smaller pool area and not been able to enter a pool at a hotel. It seemed to be a haven for families, which seemed odd I wondered if they paid the same price I had?
With no welcome pack besides a menu for dinner at one restaurant, we wondered what the hotel could offer us. We wandered the street nearby and found ourselves dinner. That night I slept on a firm bed with a noisy air conditioner. The next morning we thought where we might get breakfast. I googled the restaurant within the hotel and found no info about breakfast menus.
We went down to check out the restaurant and found a reasonable buffet offer which we decided to take up. However we couldn t eat there was the buffet breakfast ended at 10:30. And it was 10. I had we been given any info on the facilities and eateries we would have made a point to make it, but we were clueless about the hotels offerings.
The parking is an absolute joke, price wise and finding a park. The wifi is extra. Generally disappointing stay. Would not recommend.

I booked here a double room for a couple of nights.

The bedrooms were good, nothing exceptional. Beds are comfortable and the food service is very good, balcony was tiny...

I went to the pool and was decent. Between the amenities you can find a heat pool, pool for kids and babies and the water was ok. There aren t toilets in the pool so you have to come back inside for use it.

People suggest me that hotel as one of the best in Perth. Sincerely, there are better ones.

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff. Great location. Pools are heated except for the toddler wading pool which was ice cold for what ever reason. The poolside spa could be warmer and the bubble jets were a bit weak and sad.

Nice clean comfy rooms, good location just off the beach.
A couple of good bars within the hotel. Food prices too high for what it is but other option close by
They charge for parking but there seems to be plenty of street parking on the beach side just out front the hotel

This hotel is a monster on the Scarborough beach skyline. It dominates the whole area, and not in a nice way ~ more in a tacky old town Las Vegas sort of a way.

The hotel itself is well dated, and I felt like I was stepping back in time when I walked through the revolving doors into the foyer. Staff were really friendly despite my timing with the hotel full of people coming and going from a function room on the foyer floor.

They directed me to the carpark which is under the building and a bit of a trip to locate the 2 elevators that would take me to my room.

The room itself was on a high floor with a lovely view of the water, but was just as dated and tired looking as the rest of the hotel. With a noisy AC unit and tea and coffee selection that was very unappealing and tasteless, I settled in for the night.

The next morning I tried out the breakfast buffet which was surprisingly good! The restaurant is more modern then the rest of the hotel and the selection of food was great.

I left after my night in the hotel thinking M'eh, not terrible, not great, just Me'h. OK for one night or a business trip, but not really a place of refuge and beauty.

We booked in to stay last night .

First room had spew on the outside balcony which had dried up - we told staff about the issue and they moved us to another room.

We found dried up spew all over this couch in this room also!!

If you want to go to stay at a hotel that has dust around the sink bowls, snots around the lift buttons and spew in a room you will enjoy this hotel..

Not us though we checked out and drove home with a refund

Never again!!

On top of that we used to lobby bar for a few drinks and they staff were rude and completely unskilled in basic customer service.

It was very boring to be there. There is only one billiard table nothing more. The games room very small good for kids.
There is no heated pool no any jacuzzi.
Pretty disappointing no fun at all.
Room is clean good enough to sleep.
Staff is helpful and friendly.

I was here for a function with 900 people. It was great, staff were accommodating. Amazing view from the balcony. There is a range of restraint both in the hotel and around it. I would definitely come back again

We decided to stay at the Rendezvous for our anniversary as it was close to home (namely our babysat 2yr old) and in such a stunning location. Everything was perfect... We were on the 20th floor with a stunning view! The staff were so lovely and very attentive.

Great service, rooms, cleanliness, and room service given this was a lockdown Staycation. (Only thing I needed was the Foxtel to be working...but the Ocean Views and fresh air was wonderful.)
Staff FANTASTIC from check in to check out. Will be back.

I was a volunteer at the Orchid Spectacular at Rendevous Hotel. We had a great time at the Spectacular but I found as a Volunteer, I could not find any place to eat a light lunch because the hotel did not inform Dome Coffee Lounge of the three events that were going on at the hotel on the same day, so they had to close their doors temporarily (just when I had taken my break) so I couldn't find any light refreshments. It took me about an hour before I was able to eat & drink anything.

It's a nice place, but all you're really paying the decent money for is the view. The rooms are nothing special, comfy bed and decent sized bathroom but the rest is a little dated. I was expecting better room facilities. What gives this place a 4 star rating rather than a 3 is that the staff are lovely and the amenities (pool, gym, tennis courts, lobby bar) are quite good.

Great views but unfortunately the service wasn't very good. We called down to reception on a couple of occasions with no answer and ended up having to go down there to ask our question and I don't believe you should have to pay $15 for parking when you just paid $249 for 1 nights accommodation
