Very nice, European style hotel. Close to the subway stops for three different lines making exploring the city from this location a breeze. Nice breakfast and dinner options available around in the neighborhood. Room is average for this type of hotel. The pool is truly great. Don't go there, so I can swim :)

While l ll let the pictures speak for themselves, they can t describe how bad the room smelt- A combination of mold and cheap air freshener. Nausea inducing. Calls to reception go unanswered for hours. To subject people to 14 days quarantine in this room is unconscionable.
Very nice hotel located in the arts district. Accessible to easy transport (hop on, hop off stop tight up front, including bus stop; grain station is a 3 minute walk away) and great restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly.
Rated 3* for the hotel itself - it's dated , the carpet smells, the entrance felt like a bus station - It's bustling with activities. The bed is comfy though. Shower and toilet is a bit dated too.
Location :5* It's a short walk to malls, food court and museums.
Another plus point for this place is that they provide a gadget free internet access and an appt with local information - handy . Really useful. You'll have access to Google map to find restaurants etc and you way back to the hotel. Love it .
enjoyed every second of my stay here thanks to friendly staff especially samsudin at concierge! such a helpful and cheerful man who exudes positivity :-) hope to come back next time!
The room looked decent but lacked all the basic facilities you d expect from a 4 star hotel. There was no kettle, tea cups or any sort of complimentary instant coffees or teas. They completely forgot to provide us bath towels for our 3rd day stay. I had to ask for it twice. Overall I d say this hotel won t give you value for your money. Better book your stay elsewhere.
After more than 2 months around nature in Southeast Asia, this city girl was ready for a proper city break. We were headed for Singapore and our first stop was the Rendezvous Hotel.
Located right in the heart of Bras Basah.Bugis, Singapore s Museum District, the Rendezvous is perfectly in harmony with its surroundings, boasting an art-inspired theme. You notice it everywhere, from the art deco facade to the contemporary interior design featuring statement pieces and art installations at every corner.
It was raining the weekend we arrived so we kicked off our Singapore escapade with a staycation. We had booked the Rendezvous in the City package, after all! We felt special the minute we stepped out of our Uber and a concierge ushered us up to the 11th floor where we checked in at the club room lounge. Sipping on a fruity drink while the perks included in our package were explained to us, we were delighted with a surprise gift: a book guide of Singapore s famous hawker center food.
However, the real surprise came a few minutes later as we opened the door to our corner room. The lights were dimmed with LED candles creating a nice atmosphere. The first thing to catch my eyes was the bottle of Prosecco, strawberries, and sweets on the living room table. We turn the corner and spot the queen bed facing the huge flatscreen TV. Every detail screams romance .
And there was yet another detail to be discovered: a luxurious bathtub inviting us in. We immediately popped the prosecco open, put those bath salts to use and jumped in the tub. Total relaxation. We felt so comfortable we never even left the room. We ordered some food, slipped into our new matching t-shirts that read Better Together (best hotel gift ever!) and rented a DVD from Club Rendezvous collection: About Time. A sweet, funny, feel-good movie to watch before falling into a nice sleep. Exploring Singapore would have to wait another day.
And it did! The next morning, after a nice breakfast at the club lounge, we felt energized and ready to hit the streets. Fort Canning Park, The National Museum and Orchard Road (Singapore s shopping district) are all within walking distance, as are plenty of dining options, so there is a lot to do in the area.
Speaking of dining, we tried the buffet lunch at Straits Cafe on the ground level, which seemed to attract a crowd of both hotel guests and local business people. The options were varied with a spread of Western dishes and Asian staples like dim sum and noodle soup. The fresh oysters and durian cake were big hits around the tables, and the staff was quick to refill the trays when needed.
Among other things to enjoy at the hotel is their Balinese-style pool with a beautiful tile design and colorful lounge chairs. There is a gym overlooking the pool but we weren t at the Rendezvous Hotel to burn calories, quite the opposite. We did, however, go for the cocktail hour at The Library , a contemporary-chic lounge where drinks are brought to your vintage armchair while you chill out or watch one of the movie screenings.
Our weekend came to a perfect ending with an Asian fusion massage. In one hour our exhaustion from 2 months of intense travel magically melted away. We can t recommend the Rendezvous in the City package highly enough. It s perfect for couples in need of some pampering, celebrating a special occasion or on a short city break.
Stayed for nostalgia sake of having pronounced it wrongly when I was a kid. Rooms spacey but there's no view here to look out the window. Food is not bad, can consider to eat in. Layout is nothing much to brag about but overall it's a nice place, does not have any "old" smell to it etc. Prolly just lacking a long sofa if partying with more friends.
They gave me key to a room where there was already someone in it. Poor thing (lady) was half naked when I opened the door. They did give me an upgrade after the incident. The Exec Lounge was nothing lavish but good enough to be away from the very busy restaurant on the ground floor.
Personally, the look of the pool or gym wasn't for me, so I didn't even try.
This is a hotel in a colonial style building, with very convenient zs for accessing major places of interest, near cheap eats and a number of restaurants and watering holes (pinsep place).
Walk south to the civic district, walk north to the shopping belt. Walk east to the famous electronics Sim Lim Square, and go west to the National Museum and Fort canning park.
Very good location. Subway line goes through same block. Good WiFi. Looking the size of hotel I thought the breakfast area would be spacious, but it is this mid-sized cafeteria.
Stay here 4 nights, good place, very convenience, have the 7-eleven, bus and mrt. Food republic also. Minus: water free is small size, 300ml only 2 bottles.
Very good location, just between Orchard, downtown, and little india, although you might have to take the MRT or bus to get to and from those places. Otherwise they're about 2 km from the hotel. The hotel is also close to the National and Peranakan museums and a couple of colleges (NAFA, SOTA, and SMU). Also very clean. Small bathroom. Not much variety or options for breakfast. Friendly staff. There is a small 7-11 outside lobby, a bigger one across the street. Also across the street is a food court, Food Republic.
If you come here for a staycation, get the club room option. You get drinks and some snacks(chips and fruits and biscuits) from 2-5. Some snacks and cocktails during dinner time (honestly enough snacks to be counted as dinner) and a decent breakfast spread in the morning. A little bit disappointed by the afternoon refreshments because they used to give you actual food but they've changed this policy and replaced this with a complimentary mini bar (which isn't great, a couple beers, a pack of chips and nuts, water and a couple sodas). Service is good though. There is a pillow menu that you can request for 4 different kinds of pillows, so that's nice. You can also get DVDs(limited choices). If you're coming here for short term business or holiday, there is a fantastic thing in the room. They provide you a phone that has cellular data that you can use locally (and to make international calls). So you don't have to go buy a prepaid card.
There is also a heated toilet seat with a bidet in the room and in the club lounge. So awesome.
Perfect choice for who need full time services. Facilities and amenities are excellent. The hotel near Bencoolen MRT Station, Bus Station, and food corner as well. Strategic location if you like Singapore downtown feeling. The staff also nice and professional.
Hotel is good and centrally located. This is not high rise building. Breakfast is ok and may not have sufficient items for Indians. No tissue papers in the room. Access to hotel is independent and secured by check in card.
I have enjoyed staying at the Rendezvous hotel since 2008. It's a classy place with friendly staff, and a good restaurant. Definitely give this place a try. They have special weekend rates.
Attended a wedding lunch here in the Symphony ballroom. The staff serving our table were very attentive, changing plates and refilling drinks without having us to ask them. The food was very good. Only complaint was that the sound system didn't sound very good, but how much of that was due to the source material I can't really tell, so will give them the benefit of the doubt there!
Very strategic location, nice hotel..Room bigger than most of Singapore hotels. 2 MRT station (Bras basah and Bencoolen) in front of hotel. Bus stop, Seven eleven, Baja mexican grill, also in front of hotel.
The hotel is directly besides the metro station no taxis necessary... We booked the option with the better room and it included free minibar which got refilled daily. The room was big enough and clean. Staff all friendly...
Hotel with amenities including swimming pools spa function Rooms and upscale restaurants. Conveniently located in the neighbourhood of Plaza Singapura next to luxury hotels and shopping centres in Orchard Road and Istana the official residence of the President of Singapore next to MRT station and bus station with plenty of dinning shopping banking library supermarkets postage community centre cinemas entertainment and amenities nearby. Love the unique delicous Halal delights with varieties of pastries cakes bread Western delights and local hawker delights. Freshly prepared healthy ingridients with tender loving caring skillful cooking and professional warm services. Friendly cosy comfy welcoming ambience for romantic intimates groups students tourists expats locals visitors and families.
Hotel is conveniently located and right next to an MRT station. Hotel has a lounge in the lobby with books (library) and which screens movies in a comfy setting.
The hotel buffet is so - so and I would personally not return again. However, their local (Singaporean) dishes weren't bad.
The Laksa and Sambal Stingray were nice.
Slip the lobsters. They were precooked and heated up in the deep fryer. Tasted tough and unappetising in my humble opinion.

This was my third hotel during my stay in Singapore. I paid a little less than $300 USD for two nights in a Superior Room. It was absolutely worth the price.
The hotel was very elegant, extravagant, etc. for the price I paid. The lobby was just breathtaking with the lighting and decor. There was a bar/lounge area called The Library, I personally didn't hang out there, but I passed by several times. There is a small gym that overlooks the the pool. It has the basic equipment, so I was able to get a workout in before going to the pool. The pool was just exquisite especially at night! The room (and bathroom) itself was very spacious and clean. I didn't spend a lot of time in it though as I was doing tours.
This hotel is close to Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios Singapore, Raffles City and many other landmarks (those are just a few I visited).
One of the reasons I selected this hotel is because it was close to the airport. My plan was to walk to the nearest metro and ride to the airport. Unfortunately, I had such a great time, and overslept (past 4:30am!) and missed any chance of making my flight back home. The front desk staff let me use their phone to call home, and they called a taxi for me to get to the airport.
This hotel is in prime location- about 1-3km in every direction for enjoying everything Singapore has to offer. Paying a little more for the club room and club access is more than worthwhile...the staff are simply beautiful and nothing is too much trouble. Every morning and afternoon we were thrilled to see Sofia, Dayang and all the other wonderful members of staff who made us feel more than welcome. Highly recommend- we will be back! Thank you
Was at the ballroom attending a wedding dinner. Environment was nice and cozy. Service was great. Staff were attentive and paid attention to details. Food was ok. I particularly loved the Hong Kong style stream fish.
Extremely bright in the morning as they don t have proper blind. The hotel is very noisy and you have to pay for drinkable water bottle. The water tastes really strange from the tap.
It is a centrally located boutique hotel catering to families, couples and business travelers. The proximity of the hotel to the metro station makes it an ideal jumping off point for exploring Singapore. The hotel pool makes it a great place to lazy away a few hours after exploring the city. Incredible place to visit!
It's a nice place to stay for both business purpose or even short staycation. Especially if you can stay in a club room, where you have additional benefit such as free mini bar and complimentary refreshment in the lounge throughout the day.
Had a pleasant stay in the superior room. Spacious and clean. Area is quiet but well located: there are two subway station nearby. There's a foodcourt in the building across the road. Buffet breakfast was pretty decent as well. A mobile phone is also provided by the hotel which we didn't use.
A good hotel, with a very good location, walking distance to shopping area and not very far (30 minutes waking distance to Marina Bay). The room is spacious, spotless bed linen, a little bit hard the bed. Breakfast has a lot of options, not so many fruits, and salami, but anyhow very good. We have been happy to choose this hotel.
As Mr. Kelvin Huan that review earlier, have to stay in this hotel for 1st time and also for 14days SHN. The building hotel is old ancient, not well maintained. The room is also old and not fresh moreover with the dirty floor rugs. No tissue paper provided in the room. Choose of SHN breakfast is only standart and vegetarian, then coming the standart menu which are less taste curry noodle, apple and orange juice, thats all. For laundry services we have to pay Sgd11 for 5 pcs.
Currently staying here for SHN. Was told Indian Vegetarian food. Last three foods were never near Indian food (South to North, east to west). Keep calling but no response. Quarantine is not fun but can be made less painful.
No blanket provided, just quilt cover provided as blanket? Pillow are feeble, feel like it was used over 10 years! Terrible Wifi connection, the network keeps dropping! Dust can be seen at corner of the floor carpet! Meals provided quite decent, just a bit dry!
Assign to this hotel as it is SHN dedicated facility for quarantine. No blanket provided, reason was that some customer are allergic to it. Only quilt cover was provided and also only 2 pillow. Everything in the room provided is to the bare More
Great service , big props to GM Douglas for being an exemplary example of always going above and beyond in delivering excellent service to guests , great food - buffet breakfast and lunch spread with actually really good food and convenient location by the blue mrt line. Always a pleasure , always excellent service with Douglas and the Far East hospitality team!
Fanstastic Hotel too stay Singapore! Good service, mostly friendly. Rooms are large enough and you can even book two connected rooms if you are with three or four people. Pools are just brilliant. They are on 3rd floor with some green around. Hotel Has good connection too Metro and bus because its just at the front of it.
Located next to Bras Basah MRT Station and within a 5-minute walking distance from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, Rendezvous Hotel Singapore is housed in a restored colonial building that is situated in the arts and heritage district of Singapore. The hotel has a contemporary interior design and it features many fascinating sculptures and paintings.
We booked our trip of a lifetime last year with a romantic stop via Singapore on the way home. Then Covid-19 hit and we are now unable to travel internationally so our holiday is scrapped. The hotel is charging 85% (NZD$170 out of $200) of the cost of the room in the first place as a cancellation fee even though we physically are unable to get there. Other hotels we have had to cancel have only charged us a maximum of $50. If you want to travel to a hotel in Singapore that cares about people over money then try somewhere else.
The reception staff and concierges were helpful and kind. They managed to find me a room even though I was very early, so I had time for extra sightseeing on a very short trip. The room was spacious and clean with a good shower.
The hotel is a lovely building in an interesting area and just a short stroll away from the Singapore National Museum. There is easy access to the subway system and lots of buses stop right outside the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was small but the food I tried was good.
I spent the last afternoon having coffee in the bar and a swim in a well shaded pool before getting an evening flight. This is a place I would happily book in the future.
Booked 2 hotel room 7 months in advance and was given hotel rooms on different floors and when we went into one of the hotel rooms it was dirty and smelled intensely of mold and just had a sour smell. When we went to request a room change we got a room that could only possibly fit 2 people when we had 3. When we asked for a bigger room the receptionist had a completely rude and inhospitable attitude. Also carpets are clearly not clean and I m shocked how it ever received a 4-star review.
The staff are very friendly, accommodating and can really speak English well. The location is very accessible to all the interesting places you want to be. It's a good place to stay in.
Centrally located. Lots of food outlets with wide variety near the hotel. The hotel is little old but well maintained . Very clean rooms, bathrooms and the breakfast buffet is fantastic with a wide variety of western and oriental food including fruits served every morning. Stayed 3 days and enjoyed it . The boogi market for fancy shopping is just 10 minute walk from the hotel.
This is a decent hotel in a strategic corner of Bencolen Rd. Close to the metro and most of all, right next to a Food Republic where you can basically choose what you feel like eating. The National Museum is walking distance and within a few minutes of walk, you ll hit the very famous Orchard Road shopping district. The hotel is a little bit old but is definitely clean and welcoming.
