The check-in was good & fast , upgrade to 12 th floor a real surprise & most appreciated. The beers at happy hour @ $ 6.oo was also a bonus. Into dinner & the menu was a mixture of local & international tastes . Settled for a Goat Curry , which i have tried at other hotels , around the globe . There's was 100 % authentic , wow !!!! $ 26 .50 a bargain . Bed was huuuuge & oh so comfortable . Bathroom was also very large ,with upmarket toiletries. The only negative was that the TV didn't work , no or weak signal, not a worry ,i only put on in the early morning for background music while doing stretches. I would stay again for sure .

Overall, the hotel are quite nice.

Overall, the hotel are quite nice.
* However, the room service was disappointing. I asked them to bring cutlery to my room twice, waited for 1.5hour and still nothing. I offered to go down and grab it if they were too busy but they said they would bring it up to my room. They never did. My food was cold and inedible after 2 hours waiting. Then I called the manager and she apologised, handled the situation very well.
* The swimming pool is quite nice but could use some cleaning for the chairs. My partner wanted to use the male sauna room but it was not working at that time.
* The room is clean, nice and cozy.

Always a pleasure one of the originals of Auckland and service was good, issues with checking in due to computer failure the staff sorted it. The room fantastic, yes it was the m suite but still fantastic. Parking was easy as due to it came with the room. Breakfast was good. The bar was fantastic due to us drinking at it for 5 hours very accommodating.... I will be staying again.

Was guaranteed an early check in between 10-11am. Once we arrived they told us we have to wait until 3, we requested early check in for a reason, and we booked this room 3 months in advance. We had an event to be at, at 4pm. Extremely disappointed in how rude the staff were, customers who arrived later than us got given their rooms quicker. Don t recommend staying here if you want quick, nice customer service!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights ...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights on the 12/13 Sept to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly. Overall we had a very pleasant stay but it was marred by the following: 1. The shower water pressure was so bad the water only trickled out, and it was very difficult to control the temperature - either scalding hot or cold. My wife phoned reception about it and they said they would get maintenance to fix the problem. The next morning (day of departure) the shower was the same. My wife complained to the duty manager who apologized and arranged a refund of $50 as compensation. 2. Our grandson delivered a bag of birthday goodies to reception on the morning of our arrival, and requested they be delivered to our room as a surprise. They were not delivered and we only found out about it when our daughter, who had arranged the surprise, phoned. The bar manager, Ofa, made inquiries on our behalf and the missing bag was located at reception. When Ofa found out it was my wife's birthday she went away and came back with a lovely desert on a plate decorated with "Happy Birthday". Thanks Ofa you are a real treasure and helped make my wife's birthday really special.

Everything was good. Our reception, drinks in the atrium bar and a fabulous meal and great service in brasserie - - BUT . When it came time to leave the parking building, my parking ticket wouldn't validate and the concierge screwed it up and said he would look out for us on the monitor and let us out. No action. Back up to the concierge. Some one different. Same story. Back to the car. Nothing. Up again. Waiting waiting . Someone new. Came down and let us out. 25 minutes had elapsed. All good will on my part gone. Missed important business appointment. Rubbish service!!

Nice and close to the heart of the city but the rooms are in need of serious maintenance and updating to bring them in to the modern day. The beds are good as far as hotel beds go, I slept very well.

I suggest asking for rooms on the queen street side of the building as the view is much nicer

We stayed nearly a month there and it became quite dear to us. The Club Lounge staff became our favourites! It was like our second home. Would never be able to go back to Auckland without spending at least a night there!

Hotel is in a great location. Easy access to Queen Street and so many great venues in Auklend. Provides a variety of outsource activities. The rooms are clean and food is ok. But, the rooms have no vents and the TV is useless. You can't odrder anything from the room service menu during breakfast time. They are not flexible. But, the staff are really friendly and approachable. Has an indoor pool and a nice rooftop seatinf area.

I have been a loyal customer of this property for the last 10 years. I have enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail that the hotel staff have rendered to me. Love the junior suites and Highly recommend adding the club room access, which we found is great value for money and if you are travelling with kids is a must-have.

Special thanks to Abhishek, Alex and Sofia for their commitment to making every stay a pleasurable and memorable experience.

Nice place with friendly professional staff. Loved the pool too. Only 4 stars because it could have done with a bit of maintenance. Broken sink plug, fridge freezing milk, cracked tiles, water damaged ceiling in shower. Would stay there again but would only rate 5 stars everything was exceptional.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. I felt like a VIP from the moment I walked in. The staff is always extremely helpful. They got me into my room extra early, and even helped make sure I got to my tour in time.

Grand millennium was an awesome hotel to stay at.They went out of there way to accommodate us.we arrived in Auckland early so we arrived at hotel and they welcomed us. Buffet breakfast was lovely but would be good to have a difference each das y as it was the same thing every day.
Room service was great food was delicious from the brasserie. Drinks were complimentary first day and we ordered cheese board which was great value as well as delicious.
Our room was cleaned everyday at request and very polite and kind ladies cleaned our room.we felt very safe. Theres nothing negative to say..u enjoyed each day staying with my mother. Beautiful views of Auckland.I would love to see a spa next time in there to unwind after a long day.I reccomend this hotel.queens street is 10 mins away and has a variety of restaurants, cafes and beautiful Aotea park to just relax us around the corner
Thank you for making it a great holiday a great experience in Auckland. Great staff and a big shout out to the girls on breakfast shift all so lovely friendly and willing to help. takes around an hour from airport. Quiet location. A must see viaduct Harbour at sunset.. 20 mins drive on Uber.

Very good hotel The very gracious staff allowed us to take the room before the time. The room is comfortable and has a nice view. The bathroom is big.
The location of the hotel is excellent and also has a huge hall where there are two restaurants and other services.

About what you come to expect from a hotel in nz I guess. I think it's about time that they (and all hotels) got rid of the stupid idea of taking security deposits upon check in. It starts the experience off on a really bad note. They have your credit card details and make you sign the damage waiver (fully expected btw) so is there really any need to make you wait for them to do the room check before allowing you to check out?? It makes you feel guilty once again without doing anything wrong. Never left the hotel with a good feeling which for a business in the customer service game, seems kinda the point doesn't it????
