A massive hotel and luck of the draw what rooms you get. Some are nice but some are very old. Well located in central Kuala Lumpur and close to the bukit nanas monorail. Rooms about USD100 a night.

It feels getting old, my room did not smell very well, probably someone was smoking in the bathroom to avoid the alarms? The towels do not smell well neither but to industrial laundry. I believe it too overrated and services overpriced For the price of the room they could invite to the meagre set of soft drinks and snacks presented as "minibar"(a bottle of 500mL water in the room has the price tag of RM23!!!. THe bed was very comfortable though and the view to the petronas towers breathtaking. Personel was welcoming and you can print your boarding pass for free (once!). Breakfast sumptuous you're spoilt by choice,

New and renovated rooms in the west wing and old, smelly rooms in the east wing. After 2 nights we moved into the west wing. Only the west wing presents the international marriott group standard. Pool area ist nice and big (construction work beside the hotel). Great view from the room and the hotel is very centrally. Reception staff is well trained and very friendly.

It is a hotel from the Nineties with the charm of the Nineties. After a 60 hours working week, I had the hope to relax at the pool. Unfortunately, the poolbar has loud music the whole weekend and with loud music I mean loud scrap music from the radio on Saturday, trashy coverband on Sunday. In contemporary hotels, guests use their mobile phones with earphones to hear their own music. But here, you are forced to hear the newest and oldest scrap, much louder than any earphone could ever buffer it. The KGB tortured with such music, too. I spent my weekend in my room and in the parks. Silence is precious luxury today and hard to find, especially in KL. It is simply not a 5- Star hotel, it is a budget hotel for club med tourists.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel, we get a very nice view that have KLCC view.

the hotel staff very helpful, and friendly.

we stay at 7th floor, the water heater is kinda very challenging to adjust to the right temperature... It is very hot, like really burning skin "ouch" those kind of hot.

But it is okay, still a very good place to stay. Just only u need to make sure the other room heating system is function properly.

Renaissance hotel is at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Its having two entrance East and West. East for rich people and west for very rich people and priority customers. They serve breakfast , daily room service, laundry and paid massage service. They are having a big swimming pool with drinks counter. They have special bar and if you are pervileg customer you can get a free sip every day with snacks. Good for staying, try hopping into highest floor for good view.

The hotel is in the midst of upgrading and will be done by June 2017. Some of the rooms on the west wing have been renovated. I like their refurbished west wing deluxe room which I stayed last weekend. Although Vogue Cafe and Sagano Japanese Restaurant are closed for renovation, the other food outlets are open. The wide selection of food on buffet at Temptations are good.

Refused to exchange currency for me, a passing tourist in a city I did not know. Had to walk in the heat for another 15 minutes to what they told me was the closest currency exchange even though they could have changed it for me on site but would not because I was not staying at the hotel... I did not have enough local cash to go anywhere by taxi.

The main lobby areas are amazing and staff and service is impeccable. This place must have been a spectacular hotel when it first opened with dark brown wooden trim and ornate design. Room was spacious, clean with great view of the Petronas Towers. Unfortunately the rooms are now outdated, shower head too low, spray not strong or even. They only leave 2 bath towels. No USB ports. More modern and newer hotels have more upgraded facilities. Did not use pool or gym. Great location, near Towers, shopping mall, monorail, nightclubs and restaurants.
