Always an amazing performance in such nice surroundings
Great experience. Bar and restaurant there so all on one location.
Excellent really enjoyed it, staff were friendly and always polite and helpful
Loved this place.. escape from busy London city, and get some fresh air
Attended a production of The Turn of the Screw on a beautiful Friday evening. The pre show picnic option was well put together and more than we could eat, fine atmosphere from a sell out crowd and weather perfect. The opera itself with the ENO was great, soaring voices, spooky set design and well timed around the fading of the light. Highly recommended night out.
Spectacular venue. Good view even right at the back.
Peter Pan is absolutely magical and a must see for all ages. The theatre itself is fabulous with great facilities in a beautiful setting.
Best place for your evening entertaiment in London in summer!
Beautiful open air theatre, reasonably priced food and drink, long bar so you don't have to wait long to get served by the friendly staff! We saw the fantastic production of The Little Shop of Horrors and we will definitely be back!
Recently attended a show here on a rainy day and it can t be helped for the rain but there weather policy isn t helpful at all. Having to turn up to see whether show is cancelled.
The show itself was fantastic and the actors did a great job in the rain with all the interruptions of stopping and starting.
Also a suggestion of why theatre isn t open all summer for drinks as the venue is lovely.
The Little Shop of Horrors was fantastic! The show aside the whole experience was great! Obviously weather dependent but if you get to go it's a great night out for all age groups and the place looks magical with all the fairy lights. You can pre-book dining or just have drinks in the interval either way it's worth doing.
Essential to visit for a London summer, plays and performances in the open air with wine and atmosphere. The sort of slightly magical place you imagine when you think of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream (which is often performed there)
Phenomenal place! Regent's Park is lovely and the garden very special, but the Open Air Theatre within takes the crown! Such a well setup place with beautiful natural scenery all round, eateries and bars surrounding the auditorium, toilets all beautifully decorated to make it an idyllic setting. The theatre itself has comfortable seats, good views all round, amplified sound so that dialogue is clearly heard, and top class London acting of course! We saw A Midsummer Night's Dream this time, wonderful production, great sound design and visual ideas. Very highly recommended! Also parking is easy, nearby and very reasonably priced! Amazing for Central London.
One of the few outdoor theatres that London has, that is just stunning! Sited in the middle of Regents Park has a variety of plays for the whole family during its running time. The theatre is only open in late spring/summer time with a huge sitting area. You can bring your own drinks & enjoy a great play under the London's summer moon!
Very good place, actually I think that this is the best theather ever!
Beautiful venue whatever you choose to see. You get a great view, even from the cheaper seats. The bar area is well organised and never too packed. One of my favourite places to go.
Wonderful open air theatre in Regents Park with the most spellbinding and stunning production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Wonderful evening
Obviously dependent rather heavily on the weather, but weather permitting it's a great spot to see plays, and as of yet has failed to disappoint
Excellent performance tonight from the cast of little shop of horrors, fantastic!
A magical place! Well worth a visit. We saw Little Shop of Horrors and it was fantastic!
Always love coming to the Open Air Theatre! A great place and pretty much any seat affords a good view! Even better that they have more food options too!
It was an amazing experience spending summer holiday here....
We always love coming here, and it was so nice to get back to a semblance of normality today. Jesus Christ Superstar was brilliant.
Awesome venue! Went to see Joe Lycett on a summery Sunday evening and it was excellent.
Excellent place with a nice atmosphere. Went to see Little Shop of Horrors with my partner. Great show out in the open air but got a bit chilly towards the end so come prepared. Nice food served on site as well. Will be keeping an eye out for future events for sure
Excellent seats with good view of stage. Despite the heat was a brilliant evening. Performance was outstanding.
Awful. Rude and extremely unhelpful staff both in person and via email.
Arrive by 6.30 to get somewhere to sit before the show. Glad we remembered to bring jumpers and blankets, it was pretty chilly after the sun went down. Staff are excellent as usual, and production was well received.
This is theatre in it's purest form because special effects don't work when you only have trees as your backdrop. While over the years I have seen a number of performances of Evita in both indoor theatres and on the screen this was by far the most evocative. Well worth going if you can get tickets. Of course everything is dependent on the weather and last week we were exceptionally lucky as the heavens opened literally as the cast left the stage.
The real london theater happens here ... what a happening
The open air theater was great kids loved the entertainment show.
A fascinating experience. I recommend going early. You can take the typical picnic basket or buy drinks and food there. Regent's Park is a delight of a place. A magical place. We saw Shakespeare's comedy How You Like It.
Brilliant perfomance in unusual atmosphere. Must visit place in London
Great intimate outdoor theatre, in the middle of Regents Park, London. Acoustics excellent.
Certainly worth a visit. More more extensive than you might imagine?
Brilliant space - positively magical after dark with twinkly lights amongst the trees. Unique experience being outside during a performance - but great, as long as it doesn't rain (no umbrellas allowed, of course). So, if in doubt, take a poncho - and an extra layer as you'll be coming home late!
I loved it, I'd recommend get there a bit earlier than the performance, to have a drink or two a look around/soak up the atmosphere.
Just watched comedy here. Seats are really well laid out. So if your sitting behind someone, you're above them.
Fantastic outdoor theatre venue, not a bad seat in the house, nice food and drink options once you re inside too. Highly recommended.
Very well organised with friendly staff.
We went to see the dinasaurs show with some toddlers and they seemed to have enjoyed themselves. It is quite expensive but that is to be expected from the location.
Fantastic evening watching midsummer night dream. Perfect settling.
I was very impressed with the good service & venue.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to go in London during the summer.
I await with eager anticipation for the announcement of their shows every season and book early as seats sell fast!
Often the shows here are better then what you get in the West End!
The Open Air theatre always do a great job with their productions, nothing can quite compare to a performance of midsummer night's dream on a balmy evening. Mind you, it might be freezing, cold and raining, but that's London. The restaurant turns out good food in a great setting, but is a bit expensive for what you get. Worth it for the convenience, mind.
A fabulous experience, great venue and brilliant show.
I saw Midsummer night's dream here last week. Absolutely fantastic. The woidland setting was perfect.
Great evening out, amazing performance "Evita" althoygg the music was a little loud compared to he excellent singers
Jesus christ superstar!!!!!!
Wonderfull .
Always a great outdoor theatre experience. Bring spare jumpers, you never know...
Amazing experience in the open air theatre .fantastic performance of Evita whilst enjoying the ambiance of the balmy warm conditions of an awsomeme setting .
Definitely go back there again
Wonderful. We saw an inspiring performance of "As You Like It". Funny, entertaining and very thought provoking. A great venue in the beautiful surroundings of Regent's Park. Worth taking time to really look at the flower beds. Thank you very much all at the Open Air Theatre and the Royal Parks.
Amazing moment in London, magical! Very busy place, to offer you this little pleasure, it is imperative to book
If the weather is right - it's brilliant! Acoustics are spot on, lighting (evening) is brilliant and the atmosphere is incredible!
I went during covid times and they were at 20-25% capacity, the bar was open, the toilets were clean. All staff were wearing PPE and there was hand gel everywhere.
As the name implies this is an open air venue in the middle of the Regent's Park. Over the production year they put on a number of very polished diverse shows ranging from Shakespeare to musicals. So far I have enjoyed every show I have seen there. As our climate is so unpredictable it is often a gamble on whether you will sit back on a warm summer evening and enjoy the show or sit and experience an unwanted cold shower. At least if it does rain you don't have to contend with mud like places such as Glastonbury festival. The auditorium is semi circular so the views are good and the acoustics are great. Quite often the cast will come down into the audience. At one show a huge mechanical elephant trundled through the audience at another I ended up with a fairly famous, bearded punk rocker wearing a gold dress sitting on my knee, that was Little Shop of Horrors. You never know what is going to happen. There is a bar a snack bar and a covered dining area. Various food packages are available on their website or you can just get a drink and a hamburger either before the show or at the interval and either sit on the grass or use one of the many picnic tables. On a warm summers evening this is great. If the weather is good the evening can be excellent, if the weather is bad you can end up questioning your sanity. Give it a try.
Wonderful evening watching an amazing Peter Pan outside. Magical
Beautiful park with variety of spaces, good for the family.
The walk to the theatre was very nice and the venue itself was amazing.
Service at half time was great, no waiting around.
And the cast for Jesus Christ Superstar were excellent.
Superb venue. Little Shop Of Horrors performance was ok.
Ohhhhh....lovely. Just, unless it is a real heat wave, take a sweater, because however warm you think it is, sitting outside in the dark for 3 hours, you will end up freezing!
Went to see little shop of horrors has the best evening ever. Highly recommended
