Really nice venue, saw Jesus Christ Superstar there, interesting stage
Really nice venue, saw Jesus Christ Superstar there, interesting stage
Our Town. First class. Shame not full. A difficult play to stage. Pulled off. Bravo.
Theatre: as always, staff lovely. I love the loos! Free water at bar. We always picnic outside in park on grass/bench first. Tradition! Additionally, first time ever, black cabs available at exit. So we grabbed one! Excellent.
The theatre experience here is incredible. When you're lucky enough to get nice weather the whole place is so atmospheric. The bar underneath is filled with twinkling fairy lights and as the sun sets the whole theatre takes on a whole new feel.
Great theatre - shame it was open air because it rained. That said, late night cinema there over the summer was lush. Don't get the baskets of food, gourmet my [butt]
Left at the interval. Didn't enjoy The Turn of the Screw. Scorching sun didn't help. Sun was bright, production was dull
Had a wonderful engaging afternoon with the grandchildren. The actors were brilliant very professional in their respective roles.
An amazing venue with great shows. I ve been with family to the day shows but I think probably the best time for a show is as dusk falls when the theatre takes on almost a magical quality.
The venue is quite relaxed on bringing in food and drink but also has a charming bar behind the seats.
Ticket prices are reasonable as are the bar prices.
I saw Shakespeare's "As you like it" and my expectations were surpassed on all levels. It was as professionally staged and acted as any play I've seen in a main theatre.
The outside venue actually made it much more enjoyable than if it was inside.
A great venue, great play and great actors.
This was my second visit to the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park and i was just as excited as the first time! It's sign posted from Baker Street station which gets you some of the way but then the signposts disappear and you need Google More
An appropriately atmospheric setting for a wonderful production of Little Shop of Horrors.
I LOVE this place !!! If ever in London (in the Summer months) , then make sure you get to experience a performance here. Wonderful!.
Beautiful little theatre, definitely worth a visit. Fantastic atmosphere.
Poor signage in Regent s Park on how to get to the open air theatre.please improve.
Excellent theatre and the production of Evita ..Eva Peron has the most wonderful voice
Very good sound system, well located seats, pleasant experiance. Something different. Definately will recommend.
Absolutely love this venue, we have seen some amazing shows here in the last four years. We are planning on becoming members. The latest show we saw was Evita, absolutely loved it.
Incredible how big it is and how well-maintained it is ideal for sport.
It was truly phenomenal. I'm so glad that it was a full house, as the crowds energy was buzzing. It was a glorious day, although the catch is that you do start to feel like a spit roast in the sun. There is a bar with crazy bar prices, but there's a free water fountain if your trying to budget. There was also a bike park, which is great for non drivers. Lovely open space, courteous and helpful staff. I'm looking forward to my next experience there.
First time at Regents Park Open Air . Had a great evening. Weather was good and show was great. Would recommend a visit. Bar is available or take your own. Plenty of toilets and seats were fairly comfy. Take extra clothes or blanket and a waterproof jacket on case you aren't so lucky with the weather.
Fab experience. Not too expensive at the bar either
Perfect setting for a Midsummer Night's Dream. (Have to say 2012 production was better) Food is too expensive, pimms very watery
Excellent productions in a magical location. This year's Midsummer Nights Dream certainly lived up to expectations and we thoroughlt enjoyed the evening.
Tipped it down with rain after the first song but we watched the rest rain free. Really lovely place and great shows. Highly recommended. Bring warm clothes even in the summer just in case it gets chilly
Fantastic production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Food at the venue was really tasty and an array of drinks available. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommend
A very good summer option for a theater. You can have dinner in the park before the show. If it rains and the show is canceled for that reason they do not refund tickets but give you a voucher.
Brilliant venue and fantastic performance. Not cheap, but well worth the experience.
Third time at the OAT. Great experience. It seems to add an extra dimension to performances, stripping away the falsifying effect of the usual theatre. The venue is well managed and there is a nice bar. Limited toilet facilities, though.
Really enjoyed seeing Mary Poppins Returns here. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The bar was huge and offered plenty of variety. Also it wasn't very expensive which is a major plus. The venue offers ple ty of toilets, seating and chill out areas for sitting and relaxing before the show. The actual theatre is well laid out and offers great seating with comfy chairs. You can see all kinds of shows, outdoor cinema to live action plays. Check out their site for the latest events.
Great idea, I saw Peter Pan here and it was one of the best experience I had in London
This was a great place. I didn't even know it was there until I was there the other day. Great place for outdoor theatre.
one of my favourite places, a very good summer day choice, especially when is hot, very good coffe shop there and the play was magical
We attended the musical little shop of horrors . Everything was amazing!! The place is fantastic - everyone can see perfectly the show and the seats are comfortable. The only that could be better is the sound, although it s not bad for a open place.
You had better go when you come to London!
While drinking beer It's fun to watch a play outdoors.
Don't forget to get the pamphlet with the lyrics.
Great fun the affects were out of this world all the children loved it
Outstanding environment, fantastic staging no matter what show is on, no matter where you are seated the view is great. Fantastic food, also, whether it's a snack or sit-down meal. You might queue for the loo though, if you time it wrong...
Really good place to watch a production. The theatre is really well set up. I have been there twice and never disappointed. Not a single bad seat in the house.
Fantastic show of Evita great views no matter where you sit.
Another very enjoyable afternoon today, Excellent show
This place is a hidden gem; it's so easy to forget you are in the middle of the city! You really need to go! Just do it.
Great venue with clean bathrooms, quick staff at the bar and very friendly crowd.
Absolutely fantastic! Amazing performance, helpful & friendly staff, socially distanced (no one around us!) And masks required at all times.
great performance vanue in the most delightful park in London
Would of put 0 starts but unfortunately have to give 1.
Steer clear of this money grabbing company. They make money off dissapointed young children by refusing them into the show while standing outside the doors after travelling hours.
We had tickets to see Dinosaur world live in August 2018. We were refused entry upon arrival due to the weather, which is fine the weather was horrific but a bit of notice would have been nice seeing as it was forecasted torrential rain all day. As you can imagen the children there were heartbroken.
We were refused a refund but promised weather exchange tickets for 2019 which again we was promised dinosaur world live would be airing again for 2019s season. But suprise suprise no dinosaur world live is airing for 2019. I have demanded a refund again but due to their "terms and conditions" I've been refused and told to "pick another show"
If my dinosaur mad son wanted to see something else then I would of picked another show to what we chose in the first place.
I will not let them get away with this.
A bad review is just for starters untill I get my full refund.
I made my first visit to the London Open Air Theatre on Bank Holiday and loved it! The weather was gorgeous and we had a glass of rose in the park area before heading in for Peter Pan. It was a great performance. Not much shelter from the sun so managed to get a bit burnt but a fantastic outdoor activity in the city. Also great to visit Regents Park before or after. Highly Recommend!
Evita was excellent. Great performance...and we got lucky with the weather. Such a good venue
I love this place. Great atmosphere and reasonably classy
I had a great experience here watching a midsummer night's dream. It was in the summer and thank goodness it was in the evening because it had been a hot day. If you arrive with enough time there were sandwiches, drinks, fast food like burgers and fries etc. I don't think there are any bad seats so I wouldn't worry too much about where you are. Or at least, if the center is best you weren't suffering much by being on the sides. Is you like theater, I definitely recommend you try this at least once. don't forget to read the fine print on the ticket. We had bought the tickets even knowing that there was a possibility of inclement weather but we were lucky and the weather had cleared.
Comfortable seats and good sight lines. Nice atmosphere in bar/ picnic area outside the theatre. Overall experience is obviously dependent upon what you are seeing and the weather.
Great venue, superb acting. What more could anyone want!
Excellent you must visit this place on a gorgeous summer evening its incredible watching a show open air
Watched Jesus Christ Super Star and can only advise to everyone who loves the man and rock in particular. The house was full for a reason tonight.
As long as it does not pour with rain... an unmissable venue .
What a setting for the theatre. Good views all round za
The best place for a summer evening in London. All of their productions are innovative, superbly staged and performed. My favourite evening out
One of my favourite places in London. Terriffic productions in wonderful surroundings.
Hansel and Gratel was playing when we went. Didn t get to see the show but the ambiance was worth it.
Gorgeous open air theatre in a great location, has great pre-show food options, often home to some great plays and musicals.
Spending the whole afternoon-evening here in a hot sunny day and in the surroundings must be one of the great experiences of being in London.
You can find reviews about things to do in Regent's Park, after any of that head to the open air theatre and spend a great evening first having very serviceable food and drinks and later enjoying a show, then take a short stroll to Baker Street tube station and you'll reach any corner of town very quickly.
The theatre fits perfectly with the surroundings, the backstage is a luscious set of big, old trees, when the breeze of the early night starts they become part of the drama, as do the many birds heading for a place to spend the night, any show that's half passable will become quite a nice experience in these surroundings, not to say the show I watched, the opera "The turn of the screw", wasn't great.
Amazing theatre, been here twice and they've both been amazing!! First time was to see Jesus Christ Superstar and that was amazing and the second time Little Shop Of Horrors which was amazing as well. This is well worth a visit!!
