What a wonderful facility!!! My dad was there for 20 days and received the best of care. He is 85 and was really suffering in so many ways. He left a changed man. The staff and management are very excellent and detailed in their desire to see all their clients succeed.

This place deserves no stars. Very bad place to have your loved ones. Had to give one star to post or would not give any stars. The food sucks. You could starve to death in that place and your loved ones are left in bed all day or strapped in a wheel chair in the hall way for hours. I would not let my pet stay there.
My mother is currently in this facility and has been improperly cared for and, was left for 4 hours in her urine. This is after having surgery. These skilled nurses also forgot to give my mother her medication. It was 8 hours or more my mom waited for pain meds. This is after having surgery on her neck. My mom wants out of there. To add insult to injury, their social worker got into a screaming match with my sister and then one of the woman's co workers, who was listening in (it was a meeting (on an intercom) decided to chime in on behalf of her coworker, "the social worker". They apparently had my sister so upset she hung up so she could contact my mom's surgeon. "They refused my mom her meds if she left the facility." Now I'm told the surgeon is on call by my sis, and she was told by the manager at the surgeons office he was on call but she can't reach him. What kind of sick and crazy operation are these people running? They do not have the professional environment needed for these kinds of needs. I found this place to be a nightmare. I will admit my mom can be a handful with her independence at times but how do you forget to clean her up and give her meds??? After she had SURGERY!!! Then you start screaming at your patience family because they hold you accountable??? Oh and thats not the topper then your co worker backs you up??? Folks we now live in a world where you have to always be watching everyone and everything all of the time. Don't let your guard down because when you do, someone will take advantage and hurt you and your loved ones. And these people will feel nothing. They will be held accountable. And there are kinder people out there. YOU JUST WONT FIND THEM HERE AT REGENCY GRESHAM. I WANT MY MOTHER OUT OF THERE AND WITH OUT THE THREATS OF TAKING HER MEDICATION FROM HER. THESEFOLKS GET A ZERO NO STARS IF ITS UP TO ME BUT I NOTICE HOW THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT GIVE THAT OPTION. do not bring your LOVED ONES to this place, they will not be loved and neither will you. Take care friends with you beloved family members.
Regency Gresham is a very beautiful place. It is a beautiful residential place to live or rehabilitation center. I know Im a current resident the staff will do anything to help you recover. And be on your own.way .It's more like a 4 star hotel. I will be leaving soon and I have been given everything I need to get back to my life. Thanks Regency and staff for my recovery. Sandi
Let me tell you a story. This is a story of trying four different skilled nursing homes before finally finding one that I felt would treat my wife with the dignity she deserved while passing away. And that place was Regency Gresham.
I have worked at Regency Gresham for two and a half years and I feel obligated to write a review of the place, seeing that, beyond belief, it has three negative reviews! This is an AMAZING place for care. I come from working with people with disabilities, and was TERRIFIED to go to work for a for-profit company. I was afraid the "heart" would be replaced by corporate greed. In all honesty, I planned on staying six months, then moving on.
Instead, I have been here for two and a half years. Why? Because this place has more heart than anywhere I have ever worked. I have seen incredible recoveries here patients who have come unable to feed themselves have ended up going home walking on their own two feet, living independently. This is because the staff here, therapy and nursing alike, refuses to give up on ANYONE. And they do so while enduring incredible hardship and sometimes physical and emotional abuse from families and residents.
I have seen nurses sit for hours with patients who are screaming because they are hearing voices in their head telling them to hurt themselves. I have seen CNAs bring in home-baked food (all healthy, of course!) for residents who were having trouble eating what the FSA approves for our menu. I have seen our director fight with doctors and insurance companies to continue to provide medication and support to patients who have NOTHING. I myself have held hospice patient's hands as they passed away, because their family members couldn't be bothered to take off work to watch their dad pass.
Yet, for all this hardship, Regency remains a place of hope, where patients find care and comfort, and where families are given the time and attention they need to get them through this very difficult transition. We have a 95% success ratio in returning patients to their homes.
Regency Gresham is my second experience with a skilled nursing facility for my dad, and I could not be happier with the care they are providing to him... or to me. Both facilities had a hardworking nursing, LNA and therapy staff who worked hard to keep Dad clean, comfortable, and to help him regain strength and learn new ways performing "activities of daily living." But that is where the similarity ends. The staff at Regency has shown care, compassion, and empathy in 1000 little ways since dad was admitted just 2 weeks ago. They've taken time to get to know Dad and understand his needs - and are proactive about doing so. I've yet to encounter a single employee who is "just having a bad day." Instead, everyone seems happy to be working here - and it shows in their communication with families and the care they provide to their patients. I am incredibly relieved we found this place, and that my Dad is in such good, caring hands. But most importantly: Dad feels that way, too. Updated: Dad has been here throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and Regency is now his long-term care residence. They have gone above and beyond to keep us informed throughout this very difficult time, and to keep the residents safe. Communication has been more challenging since in person visits were interrupted, but, they are truly doing incredible work here and our entire family - dad included - is very grateful for their efforts. My dad has spent a lot of time in, and also trying to avoid, medical treatment. He can't wait to have family visits again and a little more freedom to come and go. It's probably not easy to live in a residential care environment when you are an independent-minded senior who has spent a lifetime working around physical limitations - long term care was the last thing Dad wanted to accept. But he has come around. he is genuinely happy, here. That's pretty incredible, and it's all because of this amazing staff.
Worst and dirtiest facility I have ever worked for DNS is absent doesn't even come out of her office nurses they run everything even though they don't have the experience HR person lies about your job position it's a fact terrible place to work for Don't recommend it to anybody and the lack of care that I've seen I wouldn't put I wouldn't put my pet rat there
My husband was placed there for rehab after back surgery and I was called by the care manager Jonathan. We talked about a few things and I had questions. Jonathan said he would get back to me but never heard from again! Wow. Nothing. Also, my husband said there were deplorable things that greatly disturbed him; one woman "recovering" there temporarily was ignored for hours forced to sit in her own feces until someone working there decided to help her!! Everyone on the wing knew she was on trouble and my husband wanted to go help this poor woman.
This place is the worst place. My mother in law is stranded in her room with no call light. And my husband and I have been calling iver and over an no one is answering the phone and it won't even go to a voicemail. I'm so glad she is moving soon. She has been so depressed and has been neglected for years. This place needs to get shut down.
I am really thankful for Regency Gresham. They helped me out. I want to thank all staff members. I would recommend this place to anybody that needs help. Good wound care, very good therapy, and tender loving care.
Smelled like urine. Had big fans running but no fresh intake or exhaust. Just nasty recirculation. My uncle's room looks like it hasn't been detailed (swept, mopped etc.) in many many years.
I have alot of love and respect for the nurses and staff at Regency Gresham. They have cared for my Grandmother and a dear friend of mine with compasssion and great care. A close friend of mine recently stayed at Regency Gresham . The nurses, therapist, and staff were warm and attentive. Social services put alot of time and care into helping my friend get setup with continued care once he left the center. I just wish they offered Drug and alcohol services to there patients. I was told they were working on implementing this service into there program.
Very good nursing staff. Many have worked here 9 to 30 years which I find impressive. Nice staff too. Good PT and OT. Great gym to use. They want us to improve. It s up to us to do the work. I just wish their food was better. It is better than OHSU s by a long shot. But it could be a good deal better. At least they are close enough to Gresham food to order by grub hub.
My mom's lived in this nursing home for almost 19 years... At first I thought it wasn't the best but I can say that I wasn't too sure... They have made lots of changes... Plus they are in the process of remodeling the 2nd floor but the main floor looks great... I think that they've made alot of good changes !!! Keep up the good work !!!
If I could pick zero stars I would this is the most horrible place I've ever felt with I don't think my dog would even eat the garbage they try to serve I can't wait to get my father out of there asap the management is horrible they are under staffed always and sometimes it takes hours to get his call light answered. I also heard charge nurse being rude as hell to dad not knowing i was standing in hallway
Regency Gresham is a phenomenal Skilled Nursing Facility!! It has recently been fully remodeled, and has been brought up to such high standards of living. I would feel so confident and at ease sending one of my loved ones here. The staff here are not only competent, but they are also equipped with sincere compassion and empathy for those they are caring for. I love how well managed this facility is, there are always great lines of communication between the staff, Patients, as well as family members. Another positive at Regency Gresham is the amazing food and activities that are offered to the Residents. I hate to think of care in terms of money, but this facility is well worth every penny that is spent. I wouldn't send my loved one anywhere but Regency Gresham!!
My mother has been with this care facility for years. She has always had incredible care, with a very loving staff. Leah and Ruth are amazing, they have been in close contact with me always. They truly care about their patients well-being. I have lived out of state and the communication/care have been outstanding! My sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Regency for treating my mother and the other residents with the BEST care always You are true angels!
