The staff could not be more accommodating. We had to relocate an outdoor wedding the day of due to weather, and the staff made it happen! Couldn't be happier with the level of service and delicious dinner afterwards!

Bit pricey, but worth it. I had the north beach mahi, it was cooked well and the sauce was excellent with a few clam and scallop bits, plus some red peppers that still had their crunch. The green beans also still had some crunch. I thought it was almost the perfect portion, if it was perfect we would have had room for dessert. And if course, the view of the beach and waves was the perfect compliment to my beautiful wife.

I went here to watch the Shrek movie with my 3 unvaccinated children, Demarcus, Jolie, and Fiona. I made sure to bring my amazing TLC 55" television as well. I asked to plug the cords in and they wouldn't allow me. I decided to leave but come back WITH Shrek. He beat them up.

First time at the REEF and we had a party of 16 . Thanks to the person who assisted one of our daughters with the reservation assistance. Excellent food, people, service and atmosphere. Our 8 grandchildren, our restaurant critics also loved the Reef.

A somewhat nice view overlooking the ocean, but the seaweed detracts from it a bit. So not worth it for the food. The Ahi tuna was tough and fishy, and a portion of the mussels were not open. Our server Brian was efficient and pleasant. In short, not worth driving out of your way for unless you're looking for overpriced mediocre food.

This was incredibly heartbreaking. We called weeks in advance to book a perfect night out at The Reef to celebrate our First Anniversary together, and it was terrible. When we got there, we were sat at a nice quiet section of the restaurant that ultimately became large party central. We had specified that we were there to celebrate our anniversary and our waiter didn't even know. We immediately placed our food order as we were hungry, two apps and two main courses. The bread and apps came right away, then we waited over 50 minutes for our entree. Calamari is by far the worst calamari I have ever had in my life. Disgusting. We saw our waiter a total of 3 times in an hours time. He was more concerned with his large party than with our table. Therefore, we had to serve ourselves our own wine (on our "special" night, just sad). It was terrible. The larger party that arrived and ordered their food after us, got their food first. The entrees were good. My filet mignon and potatoes was good, obviously microwaved but good. My husband's shrimp and grits was okay. We couldn't have dessert because we had to leave for a ghost tour since we didn't think dinner would run 2+ hours. Frankly, the view is nice, the food is okay, but the service is TERRIBLE! What a waste of money and time, never again. Would not recommend this place, not worth it at all.

This restaurant is very nice, has an upscale touch as well as prices, and has a great view of the oceanfront and beach. We had come by on Sunday, but forgot that they just do a $40 Brunch Buffet and we didn't feel like doing that with kids in tow. We came back later in the week and had some great food and a good experience for the most part. My wife and I had the Shrimp and Lobster Vegetable Risotto and everything was cooked to perfection. Our kids enjoyed their food as well. For dessert, we had the Blueberry Creme Brulee and got the kids the Ultimate Chocolate Cake. The brulee was good as usual, but that cake was out of this world fantastic. You've got to name it something different because I'd never order cake and yet I would eat this heavenly thing every day!
The only negatives to our experience was the noise level. The live music was so loud I couldn't hear the waitress or my family. We also were in a room with a 50th anniversary party, which added to the noise.
I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the noise levels, as everything was very good. Thank you for providing excellence.

This is my husband s and my second visit to this restaurant. The first time was about 5 years ago and this time, it s where he chose to spend his 65th birthday. As usual, the atmosphere was nice, the oceanfront view was amazing, the service was superb, and the food was delicious. We will be back.

My wife and I had lunch here. It's upscale and affordable. Service was good and the food was excellent. It is on the beach with a million dollar view. I would eat here again for sure.

Wow! Seriously disappointed. This day resembled my mother s birthday and mine, Also i mentioned that i just lost my father and needed an open seat with us for him "spiritually" since he could not be there anymore.
Well I walk in and advise my name, time of reservation and the Children that look me up and take my information were not informed, acted like I was asking for water in a desert, just a dumb expression on their faces.
After going there for over 10 years for these birthday dinners I am so upset that they act all ignorant about my request details in my reservation, then when they try to empty all seats around me and I am explaining I would like 1 chair and a plate to remain in memory of my father they talked over me and did not listen.

Talk about upset.

The Reef is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and attentive servers! Ask for Chloe and you will not be disappointed at this Seaside attraction. We came for lunch (which was much more affordable) and sat on the deck. Although a storm rolled in and the end of our meal was a little rushed we have no complaints about this jewel in the crown of St. Augustine!

Awful service. Went for the brunch. Waited for a server for over 15 mins. When a server finally came to our table, I asked for our table to be wiped down due to leftover food on the table. The server said .... You should not be at the table until it's wiped down" We said I guess we will leave. Server said..... BYE!!! We left and will NEVER GO BACK!!!! I'm a server and I have NEVER treated a guest like that. I would have been fired on the spot.

Took my grandmother out to eat for the first time since this pandemic started and found that not only the view was gorgeous but the food was amazing! Grandma got the fish and chips, super crispy and delicious, even the cole slaw that came with it was good! I got the bronzed salmon (which instead of brown sugar has cinnamon on top), the salmon just melted in my mouth, oh it was great. It had yummy broccoli and rice to pair with it. Last but certainly not least, my mother got the citrus salmon and hands down the best salmon ever. Also, they do a flash fry on spinach with which makes it looks like glass art. Everything was just so good. They also have dolphins that come by almost daily and we saw one pop up about 5 times! It was a lovely experience and we will definitely be back.

On the positive side the view is beautiful. We sat outside and it was heavenly having a late lunch.
My burger and fries was very good. My friend ordered chicken tacos and we were surprised to receive a chicken breast cut in half.
I have always received SHREDDED chicken on a taco. It was more like a taco sandwich and actually disappointing in taste .

Excellent ocean front dining. We chose outside table with full view of the crashing surf. Food and service as good as it gets. Bread by the very esoteric and virtually impossible to find Jeffrey's Bakery, but find it we did, the next day. Lucky us. Both a must visit

Slow sporadic service involving two different servers , they forgot to put order in for the appetizer , water did not taste good maybe its tap water but they should have it filtered.
Food was so so nothing to go out of the way for, i had the herbed tuna..was not a good quality tuna..my wife had the chicken salad which was ok but nothing great. Did I mention the service was slow?.. Where we were seated there was constant non stop foot traffic , waiters, patrons etc.. We wont be back for dinner.. But might give the sunday brunch a try the view may make up for some of the minuses.

Took my cousins visiting from CALI here and they enjoyed the scenery of the Atlantic Ocean and the food. Service was good, especially the busboy (Zack) hard worker with great customer service that went above and beyond. He put our table together and took our picture.

They also have a nice spread for their Sunday brunch!

A lovely spot to have brunch the ambiance is everything. I had a table with a view of the ocean, . With a variety of delicious desserts you'll have a difficult time making up your mind. The brunch is over at 2 pm. They have live music while you dine. The food is good and you get endless mimosas. It's a good mixture of food choices from oven roasted chicken to crab legs . This place is a must visit. Highly recommend.

We're visiting St. Augustine from South Florida and wanted a special place for brunch for our anniversary. Reviews were good so we tried it and so happy we did. Mia, our server, was great - very attentive and sweet. Brunch cones with a glass of champagne, fruit and muffin. My husband had the salmon benedict and he said was awesome. The ham and cheese omelette was also very good. Excellent salted caramel cheesecake for dessert, which they gave us to celebrate our anniversary. Very reasonably priced for all the food they serve. Being right on the ocean was also a plus. Beautiful view! We'll definitely be back next time in St. Augustine!

Gem.
