Great view. Decent menu and good drinks. The service was a little slow and it looked like they were understaffed on that day.

We have had excellent food and experiences there before. Tonight we had excellent food, but the service was off putting. My wife's fish was excellent, my steak salad was good and the desserts were good.
The night started off with the waiter visibly scoffing when we ordered tea. He then proceeded to ignore us while going to other tables that had ordered drinks. The other staff helped us get his attention and they were wonderful when we asked for help after waiting for some time. It's like we offended him by ordering tea and he didn't want to serve our table. He would walk all the way around the place to get to the other tables and avoid us past the minimum to get through the dinner.
I'm not sure if we will go back. We have liked going there in the past, but this was not an experience we would like to repeat.
The shrimp & grits was tasty! As was the salted caramel pie!
Great view of the lake and that is all it has going for it. They don't know how to cook their meat. Way overcooked hamburger. Not sure what their idea of well, medium well, medium, rare is but they need to either communicate to customers what that is or train the cooks how to cook. Very expensive for food that is not good. Want the best burger in town then go to Stonecove's Kitbar in Herndon and spend a lot less.
The food is fairly good, though a bit over priced. The service was terrible. Almost every order had something wrong with it. The the server short changed us 20 dollars. We had to search all over the restaurant to find him to get our change.
Great Service, Great Food, Great View. Bloody Mary Brunch works for me!
Nice place to get a bite to eat while sitting waterfront.
Dinner with coworkers. Food was great and the service even better! Thanks for a great evening!
still finding their stride and after about 10 visits I am officially a fan. Great beer selection, Burgers are good and their kids menu is pretty unbelievable.
Love Reds! Eat there a couple nights per week. Very good food.
Great casual restaurant. Amazing view from the patio. Good date location.
Amazing food!!! I had excellent beet salad and fish for the main course. I also sampled the crab cakes from my friend and they were equally amazing. The BEST ice cream ever - honey lavender. So good that I asked them where they buy it. All their food is amazing !!
We go to Red's about once a month. The location is very convenient to us and we are happy to have it! We mostly order the same items that we like the most, the Wedge salad is very good, calamari when served hot is great, burgers and fries also very good. We had scallops recently and while very good the serving size could be more generous vs. price of dish ($27). Overall recommend Red's highly.
I was really excited to try out Red's Table because of the yummy-looking menu and amazing view of the lake. We wanted to sit outside, but it was full, so we put our name on a waiting list. We were told it would be "a while" for a table. No big deal, we sat at the bar and got a drink and some oysters. The bartender was super friendly and gave us great customer service. The oysters were alright- they seemed to have bits of broken shell in them, so that was kind of a bummer. After a while (we were at the bar for an hour or so), we noticed that there seemed to be a few open tables outside but we hadn't gotten a text that our table was ready yet. So my sister went to the hostess to inquire about the open tables. She then took us to one of the open tables....makes me wonder how long we would've been sitting there for a table if we hadn't asked? Kind of frustrating. Once we were seated, we ordered some more appetizers and entrees. My sister ordered the scallops with lemon risotto, which was fantastic. I ordered the pappardelle pasta with veggies which couldn't have been any less under seasoned. It was kind of bizarre, it's like the chef completely forgot to add salt. Also, the sauce was really thin and soupy. I had to add a ton of salt and pepper to my dish.
So overall, service was great (especially at the bar), minus the hostess seemingly overlooking the fact that we were waiting for a table outside for an hour. Drinks were good, view was great. I'll be back for happy hour drinks and a view outside, that's about it - the rest is unremarkable.
Very good food, great beer selection, cozy atmosphere, great location on a peaceful lake. Attentive staff practicing good Covid safeguards.
The food is interesting & delicious. They have something for everyone, from Vegetarian to Gluten Free plates. Their mixed drinks are peculiarly tasty, and don't get me started on their desserts. Cannot wait for new menu to come out!
Thank you Red's!
Great improvement over Lakeside Inn, we tend to like the appetizers better than the main dishes. My brother hosted a reception here which was done extremely well. Great beer specials.
From the moment you enter that restaurant the stuff gives you a nice feeling. Very warm crew, it is a kind place to to go out with your friends or with your date. tasty cooking, professional chief cook and stuff, modest price and attentive service. Highly recommended.
The staff was friendly, the service was quick, the happy hour cocktails were delicious. Great experience @ the Red Table. Options limited but everything tastes great & not to mention the delicious aroma when you walk
Amazing view, great ambience, excellent service and wonderful brunch.
Food with a view and excellent service. Scott was great! Gave us delicious recommendations for beers, food and dessert. I loved this place!
Ate the oysters and the pasta. Wonderful.
Nice ok patio overlooking the lake. Great service. Deff will go back.
Food was pretty good, but maybe a bit pricey for what it was. Fresh baked bread is lovely. Not a ton of seating if you don't want the porch.
Fantastic brunch. I'd highly recommend and will go there again.
Red's Table is one of the only Chef Driven restaurants in the area. The menu has an incredible selection of food and cocktail items that both rotate seasonally and stay year round.
I personally get either the Chef's local cut (a beef or lamb dish) or the Chef's catch (a seafood dish). The meats are fresh and local and the sides always perfectly accompany the dish. Whether they be classic potato wedges or vegetables with some unique, innovative, delicious puree, the food is always fresh and exciting.
The cocktail menu is creative and satisfying. I recommend 'The Fig Lebowski' for a refreshing bourbon drink.
The staff is always super friendly yet very professional. The 'front of the house' makes you feel welcome from the time you walk in to the time you leave.
The wait staff pays attention to the details of the guest experience. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, my drinks were never empty, and the table was always clean of dirty dishes/unused items. I've had a few different waiters/waitresses at Red's but they all take the same consistent steps of service and that makes the experience really great.
Recommend this place for a large party or an intimate date night!
Hi, my name is Roger Ponce, I make a reservation at this restaurant for mothers day, that was the worst experience we have... lately the ruin the mothers day to my wife and my sister in law, we order the brunch around 11:20 and after 1 hour and half they bring the food, we take that to go, when we get home all food was a mass, the drinks they prepare are horrible, like never ask for bloody Mary, They need to be out of the business, restaurant business is much more then that.
NEVER MORE !!!
Lovely view of Lake Audubon from the patio. The wait staff was friendly and the food was good. The steak salad was overpriced for what is served.
Great place for a beer, need more tv's for games though
Met some friends for happy hour. Sat out on the deck which is large and accommodated the ability to spread out. Nice relaxing view overlooking the lake.
Great selection of craft beers and some unique appetizers like goat cheese fritters, that were delicious.
Would definitely go back again.
I thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes and Fig Lobowski cocktail while catching my team play on the screens. Great spot and will be back soon!
Such a great place! Comfortable for a date night or a family night with the kids.
Food is consistent and wonderful. Desserts are not to be missed!
Neighborhood restaurant! Love eating on the deck overlooking Lake Thoreau.
Great lunch...enjoyed the farm to table soup and salad, nice presentation, pleasant server and quick turn around on lunch + coffee...great to see something new this side of Reston. Lake view is nice break from the office;)
Best restaurant in South Lakes Village shopping center, but that's a pretty low bar. Food is just ok, and a little pricey for that.
Great atmosphere by the lake; super staff; very accommodating; tasty, well thought out food.
Nice spot good views and great bartender Marc tell him Eddie sent you lol
The food was good. Came out quickly and as ordered. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. We'll be back again.
Excellent place to enjoy with family and friends, the service was the best in quality and attention, a very good choice.
Stopped for a drink on Saturday night. Bar was lively and a good band was playing.
What a jewel! The food is great, customer service and warm and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The owners really know what they're doing. Truly a joy.
Fantastic views. Good food. Service was a little slow for a weekday lunch hour.
My daughter, granddaughter and I were looking to have an early dinner. When we were seated, we were given the brunch menu. There were enough different items for us to choose from but a dinner menu would have been nice so we could have had a larger option. The food we got was very good. I loved my chicken and waffles and would not hesitate to order that again. My granddaughter and I split a dessert which was absolutely delicious. The dessert menu was brand new and was being rolled out the next day so we got to be the first to look at it and try one of them. I would definitely want to split that dessert with someone else.
It's a great place to go with family and friends! And the food's amazing too and doesn't take that long to get to your table!
Love coming here for delicious food and quality drinks. Great atmosphere with kind people. Decent list of beers on tap, tasty wines, and some incredible cocktails.
The fried chicken sandwich is phenomenal! I've not had anything I didn't like here but the chicken sandwich is my absolute favorite.
Not too many vegetarian options. Food is very good. Service is great. View is appealing.
Perhaps the best waterside dining experience in Reston. Their duck is pretty good (but probably not from the immediate environment), but the crab cakes don't quite stand up to those served at Clyde's.
Just the perfect place for a night out! Excellent food (oysters, mussels, shrimps and more), great selection of beverages, a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. The servers and hosts are simply delightful. I'd highly recommend a visit!
Nice ambiance. Limited food selections for vegans though.
Food was great to ok. Some dishes were excellent. Chicken and waffles overcooked. Benedict great. Chicken sandwich very nice.
The views of the lake are amazing.
The problem is the service. They didn't tell us there was a resteraunt week price fixe menu. They didn't tell us specials. Chicken sandwich was requested no tomatoes but had them. Chicken and waffles requested no gravy, had gravy and took forever to get new food. Server literally disappeared after screwing up order - we never saw him again.
Frustrating as the food is quite good and such an amazing view.
When we first moved to the area in Jan 2017 we weren't too impressed but all our recent visits the service and food has defenitly improved. Great happy hour and beer selection as well.
Had dinner there this past Monday night. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. The homemade fettuccini noodles were just perfect as well with the fresh vegetables. They also had some yummy little biscuits with butter to go with it all. The hazelnut dessert was light and creamy and the blueberry pie was tasty with the right amount of sweetness. Our waiter was friendly and on point the entire night.
Very warm and inviting atmosphere but still sophisticated. Will be back weekly!
Great taste, slightly upscale area with upscale prices.
Good food, nice patio seating overlooking the water, live music, and local beers, solid spot.
It is a very nice restaurant there is a lot of variety and its staff are very attentive they have a good working staff.
We have done takeout twice now and had great experiences both times. The first time we ordered on a Monday and they were out of their amazing duck confit egg rolls so they threw in free wings as a "sorry" gift. The wings and fritters were delicious. On our second order, we got the delicious duck confit egg rolls along with steak frites and crab cakes. Everything was delicious and the order was ready super fast on a Saturday night - less than 15 min. I would absolutely recommend trying them out in Reston.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and incredible service - the bar manager visited our table personally to make drink recommendations. Will definitely visit again!
Wonderful food and knowledge and fun staff. A place that has energy and yet doesn t get so loud. That allows diners to actually hear each other across the table. Looking forward to another visit.
Really great did and atmosphere, lakeside! Can't beat it...
Ambience is nice but service was slow and food was lukewarm.
I've only had brunch here, it's pretty good. They also offer a mimosa and bloody mary special during brunch.
Great Brussel Sprouts and Ribeye. Beautiful lakeside view.
The food was fine, but had small portions and was overpriced. My side dish was also given to someone at a different table.
Great food, people, and service. So awesome we often "forget" to patronize the other comparable restaurants in the area.
Great place! Good ambience, awesome beer selection and good menu!!
My first time at Red s. Great food, service and atmosphere. Beer selection is solid, wine selection not so much. Take off a 1/2 star if you are looking for a good Cabernet with your steak! All in all, this is a great spot that I will frequent often.
I went for a business lunch yesterday and most of us did not like our food. The crab cake was soggy like a tuna sandwich, and had more filler than crab. Also, the calamari has sausage in it which I though was strange.
The food is hit or miss, but the service is almost always lacking. Giving three stars because it has a fantastic view of the lake.
Always great local brews with amazing fresh specials!!!!!! Go check out their goat fritters and a good burger or some see food!!!!
