My wife and I had reservations at Clinkerdagers for Christmas this year. Unfortunately there was some type of water leak/flooding and they couldn't open. We were already there when we found out and needed to find some other place for dinner.

Not knowing what was open and had seating available we ended up at the downtown Spokane River Front. They had a specific Christmas menu to choose from. The staff was very nice and did a good job but the food was, lackluster. It wasn't terrible but tasted like cafeteria food. It just wasn't the great dining experience we were anticipating from Clinkerdagers. If it were not a planned multi-hour dining experience and just dropping in for dinner it wouldn't have been as terrible, but even so was still overpriced cafe food.

The soup was cold, the sides were lukewarm at best, and the main dish was "ok."
