Awesome place that gives us truckers a great deal. A room for 10$ with a 50$ deposit. The restaurant has great food and Truckers make sure you ask for the Truckers menu everything on it is 4.95$ . I had prime rib last night. Parking directly across the street.
No smoking room but smelled like smoke anyway. Still friendly staff and fun!!

The American flag in the parking lot is torn. There is shattered glass in the parking lot. Staff is unfriendly.
So chill here. The night front desk lady was a little rude but I loved staying here regardless.
I love that there is a B&B in here. It makes it so much better! And the pancakes at the cafe are soooo good!

The red garter apparently has spent a lot of money upgrading their rooms and I have to say it was well worth it the room I stayed in was not an upgraded one it was average room but the bed was huge and very comfortable. The hotel decor of the newly operated room seems really odd earn and I like that the casino is not very packed compared to the others and so if that's your thing I would go there and the staff seems to always be really friendly and willing to go above and beyond.
They removed the beans and brews and replaced with starbucks ......

Unlike the triplets (AKA, Montego,rainbow, and pepermill) the red garder is a nostalgic but homey invierment and the staff for the most part are friendly and helpful.
Not bad. Since I've only been playing in the daytime I have over 10,000 in the last 2 months.
My SO and myself decided to randomly stay in Wendover for the night. We had made the decision to stay somewhere we have never stay before. The bright red lights of the Red Garter caught our eyes. We checked into a King size bed room and unfortunately the remote did not work in the room and we were only able to watch CNN. We called the front desk they sent maintenance Up to help assist us. Maintenance programmed the remote and with no luck still didn t work. They ended up switching us rooms to another king size room where the tv and remote worked. They were super fast and accommodated us. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Free of smoke smell which is nice especially since they have a casino. They did check our temperature before we entered the casino area and had hand sanitizer stations everywhere.
Red Garter can be one of the luckiest places on the wendover strip. Very small rooms but the only place you can stay with your dog.
The lady doing the roulette table made me cry NEVER go here
We always go to the Prospector Cafe for breakfast before heading out of Wendover. Best breakfast in the city!
I love the Red Garter. Friendly dealers and pit bosses. Not as packed as other casinos. Great deals on the rooms. Amazing place that I always recommend.
Had a fun time. Played blackjack for a few hours. Tried the buffet at prospectors cafe, was not impressed. I don't know what I was expecting for 8 bucks though.
If you have a CDL you can stay here for $10 A night and you get a free dinner
The remodeled rooms are great, the prices are competitive. The casino needs some work. :)

The red garter casino is ok but I liked it much better before the remodel they done on the outside. It doesn't have the same feel. the restaurant that has cheap breakfast SUCKS!!! I'd rather eat at McDonald's down the street. It's got better food.
Sad little casino and hotel. Old building, no buffet, limited game options. Best thing I can say about the place is it's slightly cheaper to get a room there then the other casinos

This hotel and casino has massively improved over the years. Their rooms are decent for what you pay.
The food used to be good here, it was really popular with the locals. It changed ownership and it s not as good as it used to be.
I love the Prospector Cage. The best menudo in Nevada.

This casino is so filthy!!! Every machine you sit at is all sticky and nasty... Employees stand around talking Spanish which is very rude!! The establishment need to make those dumb ass Mexicans to have consideration for customers ....

Me and my wife travel from SLC to Wendover about once or twice a year for a few nights. When my wife told me she booked a room at the Red Garter last weekend I was sort of annoyed. I had never liked it there before, but this time was nice. Great job on the remodel of the rooms, ect! The Prospector Cafe is the best place to eat in Wendover and it's open 24 hours for about $10 a plate. I think we'll be staying here every year now.
The rooms were decent and the hotel was clean, but it would be nice to have a fridge and/or a microwave in the room. But overall a good experience.
Recently remodeled well.. Stayed here 12 years ago and it was a run down motel 6 behind the casino.... Way better then it was

I would give less stars if it were possible. They are thieves! . Charged my credit card for a room we didn't even stay in because the girl taking reservations can't do her job and takes it out on customers

Oh my dear Lord, what a pitiful excuse for a casino. If you are actually going to Wendover to gamble, avoid this place at all costs. It really is, in all essence of the word, PITIFUL. Playing blackjack here is the worst time I have ever had. They cheat, lie and use every legal way they can to get the player to lose money. They cant stand you winning and if you do win, they will actually ask you to leave. I have seen it before.
They bombard you with drink offers. Nonstop every 10 mins asking if you want alcohol so they can get you drunk. Which is normal for a casino but goodness leave me alone for more than 10mins. Then they shuffle the deck after 3 or 4 hands! Literally every 15 cards they shuffle. What a joke! The pit boss is constantly breathing down anyone's neck that is winning. I was up a lame $100 and this dude wouldn't stop staring at my hands. They change dealers every 10 minutes. They shuffle the deck like a 2 year old. All 4 aces were dealt in only 4 hands almost every time. The dealer had blackjack at least 20 times in a 2hr span. In that 2hr span they never were given a new deck of cards either.
Then the worst of all...they shuffle the deck if you change your bet size. I kid you not, if your bet spread is more than a few bucks, they will pick up the cards after one hand and shuffle. I went from a $10 bet to a $50 dollar bet after the 1st hand of a shoe and the dealer scoffed, took the cards and shuffled AFTER I bet and just after the 1st hand. I had a good feeling and bet more. Like what the actual hell? She saw my bet and decided to shuffle. No no no NONONONONONO. BAD. SO bad it makes me sick.
You see, in blackjack you bet according to what is being dealt, you don't deal according to what is being bet. The casino should be a machine. A motherfrickin machine.The casino is simply the house. The embodiment of pure chance. Blackjack is not you versus the casino or you vesus any body else. Thats what is so methodic and amazing about it. It's you versus the odds. Simple game. The casino should simply facilitate those odds in the form of table games and machines. A table game is no respecter of persons or money. It takes and gives without remorse.
The Red Garter is none of this. They just cheat. I never thought I would see the day a casino would go as low as Red Garter did at the blackjack tables.
If you are going for vacation or just want to hit slots or roulette, by all means go here. But if you want to play single deck blackjack, go elsewhere! Please for the sake of all that is good and holy on this earth, DO NOT go here to play blackjack.

Small dated casino. They put a fake front on the building to make it look new and inviting and renovated the rooms. It's definitely better looking in those areas than before but I'm not there to sit in my room or stare at the front of the building. They need to update the casino area. If you can't get a room at another casino stay here. Best thing is the free shuttle to other casinos.
The casino was a little run down and only about 1 in 4 dealers were friendly. Not terrible but think there are better places to go in town.
The casino bathrooms and beautiful and clean. It's too Smokey though. The hallway to the rooms are scary and so is the elevator. The rooms were niceish but you could tell they were renovated in a hurry.
Favorite hotel! This was my second stay. Good rooms, amazingly afdordable. Good drinks on the floor and the wait isn't too long like the other casinos. Visited the restaurant for breakfast and the wait wasn't long, surprisingly. Affordable and good food, great service.
The room itself was fine. Tried to get breakfast in the casino, but apparently the food on the menu is olny for show. When I tried to order a breakfast sandwich I was told "Oh, we don't have any of those. Only coffee."
The food was ok. But wished the machine would hit better.
I would do zero if it was possible. The service in the cafe was nonexistent. It took 15 minutes to get a soda. The sandwich was like cardboard. I had to ask for a refill and that took 5 minutes. The worst part is they weren't even busy.
Me gusta la comida, butt there s a lot of smoke. It s a pretty good layout. Although I don t drink alcohol, the bar is pretty nice and seems to always have some good games on the tv screens. It s also really cool how people like to take pictures with missionaries when they go to lunch here on Saturdays. Good place! Never gambled either, but I heard it s all about luck. No gracias.
Similar to the nugget, it has a lot of older slots which I prefer!
The room was fairly nice. Customer service on the other hand, is AWFUL!! I left my prescription glasses there and called to get the mailed to me and spoke to a very unpleasant young lady named MCKAYLA. After refusing to send them to me because it wasn't my name but my friends on the room she proceeded to hang up on me. I will never stay there again because their customer service is terrible and it's nearly impossible to contact a manager.
