Beautiful garden and even better summer concerts. The Lumineers show was awesome!

This place is so beautiful and will not disappoint! They have paved walking paths and unpaved hiking paths. The amount of walking paths is amazing. There is a children's garden, herb garden, rose garden, natural meadow, a large pond with several waterfall features, and so much more.

Great place to visit in the spring, summer, and fall, if you like native plants to Utah. It is a very big garden with many paved trails. Most all of the plants, shrubs, vines, and trees have descriptive markers.

During the spring and summer you can purchase plants here.

Also during the summer months you can go to live concerts of many quality musicians here, which is an awesome venue. But get your tickets early on most shows before they sell out.

For brides looking to get married in SLC, Ut...This venue is absolutely gorgeous, the staff is amazing, friendly, and so helpful. They really make you feel special. I got married in the Fragrance Garden and Orangerie. I loved that this venue did not nickel and dime me for little add ons or anything, it's pretty straight forward. You get to use all the tables and chairs they have, they also have 5 big easels you can use, which was awesome. I really felt like I didn't have to deal with anything on the big day, because they took care of everything. I don't regret having my wedding here at all. The only negative thing I can even think to say is I wish you got more than 2 hours to set everything up and more than 1 hour to take everything down and be out of there. Also when we showed up, I feel like the tables should've already been set up and placed since we did a walk thru, they had a map and knew where the tables needed to go. Since you only get those 2 hours, that would've been more helpful. Other than that, this venue is gorgeous and amazing. I LOVED that I got married here.

If you're going for a concert, be the people that are there standing in line 3 hours early for a good seat!! Otherwise, if you get a bad seat (not somewhere directly facing the stage) you will hear and see almost nothing. I dislike general admission concerts because it means some tickets will be $100+ seats while others are -$20 even though you all paid over $100! The venue itself was beautiful, the staff friendly, but not a great place for a concert in my opinion.

This was a great place for an after-work stroll. It's so peaceful and intriguing. Each garden is unique and exciting.

A great place to get your kids out into nature! They have a fairly large children's area that was entertaining for my almost 4 and almost 2 year old. There's a lot of places to explore with gorgeous flowers and plants. Be prepared for quite a bit of walking with some steepish hills. Most everything is paved, so we always bring a stroller. We love this place in the spring and fall. We even love it on cold rainy days because you can get most of it all to yourself :)

There is so much vegetation here. There are different flowers blooming all the time on each path. You can always enjoy an outdoor concert here.

A few years ago, the Garden after Dark was phenomenal! It was interactive and magical. It was more like the Children's Museum. This year, all we did was walk around and read signs. The birds were cool but other than that, it was very disappointing.

Well layed out. Worth a visit. Good place for a picnic.

Beautiful beautiful place. We love coming here and enjoying a nice relaxing afternoon. Our kids love the childrens garden and the fragrance garden is always delightful! We buy a membership every year. We love red Butte gardens.

Come early and wait in line with everyone else. Beautiful spot. All lawn seats. Can use chairs if they are close to the ground, no normal camping chairs. Can bring in anything to eat or drink.

It's quiet, calm, and beautiful. It's a great place for a quiet escape or a group activity. I could spend all day there.

Good to see new variety of things. Go on holidays, it might be free to go inside

My whole family loves Red Butte Garden. We have done classes with the kids at the Sprout House, taken classes through the U Lifelong Learning Program, seen concerts at the amphitheater, attend the yearly plant sales, and simply strolled along the paths. The herb garden is one of my favorite places in the world. So beautiful and relaxing. There are tours and educational programs to take advantage of. The memberships are totally worth it, and help to maintain the gardens. All of the volunteers and staff are simply wonderful. Go to Red Butte for an easy hike or an outdoor picnic. You won't be disappointed.

This place is great! Lots of areas that make for great photos. A wide variety of plant life. If you are there during the summer, I would recommend bringing water as it can get incredibly hot.

Rented a space here for an event. It wasn t cheap but the staff was fantastic. They do a great job managing the event and ensuring the space is useable. They did a good job ensuring we had seating, helping our musician get set up, and generally making things go smoothly. The space was great and my event was quite special. Very happy overall.

Absolutely stunning all year long. The variety is amazing and the place is always beautifully maintained. Bulbs are up right now and there's always so many new unique plants every time I go. I highly recommend spending a few hours just wandering around and enjoying all the different gardens they have.

This is a gem in SLC!!! I went there to enjoy the garden and found first that it was free in October before 4 pm. The garden is very well organized and was decorated with Halloween stuff, pumpkins, riddles, information and activities for kids. Was very fun and I bet at night it must be much better. One of the most popular top attractions in SLC.

This place is great. I didn't research at all before I went so FYI you can bring food, drinks, alcohol into the venue! They dont sell alcohol. It's super chill and fun.

This place is good for family outings. The view is spectacular from there. The mountains look very good from there. The garden is well maintained.there are variety of plants. The Rose garden is the best of all. The waterfall is also very nice

I just got tickets to a venue at the red butte gardens and it was a very inexpensive show so I picked up a ticket for a friend of mine to join me. I looked at the concert area and being a musician myself I would say that this place is gonna b one of the best shows I would ever attend. It is outdoor GA seating so bring a blanket and I swear u r going to have the best of ur life. Enjoy the show! Tell em Hutch sent ya.

We visited multiple times. My favorite visit was during their Halloween celebration thing. That was amazing

Very clean and organized. I enjoyed my walked at Red Butte Garden.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Although it's not cheap, (I think an adult day pass was over $15), it is something everybody should do at least once a year. The grounds are absolutely exquisite, and anybody could spend all day wandering the walking paths that meander throughout the property. There are alo several water features and attractions like the 250 foot hedge snake that must have taken 50 years 2 become established.

We went at a poor time of year: early March. Most plants were not coming up just yet, but the snow had almost all melted. It was a bit too muddy to enjoy the back trails on foot. Earlier or later would provide beautiful scenery. We will go back in the future!

We hiked the nature trails above the gardens one day. Go early for cooler temps. Another day we toured the beautiful gardens. So much to see & learn about plants for various growing zones. Beautiful views if the city.

I have always loved going to this place. I've beening going since I was a child in the 90's; I even had my wedding there. They are always improving the grounds to showcase the many different plants that can make it in Utah, and even a few that require some help, for instance the orange tree in the orangerie. They also go visiting this place during the covid-19 pandemic down.
They have you buy tickets in advance, stagger entrance time and require masks at all times. This cuts down on the amount of people on the grounds at any given time. Plus the suggested one-way route also helps patrons keep social distancing. This is an attraction that is doing it right.

Best outside garden ive been to. And the place is huge. Cant wait to see what the hiking part of the garden looks like.

Such a beautiful place, we had a couple of days in SLC and someone recommended this place to us and we easily killed a few hours walking around the main area. Recommended for all ages

A lot of the flowers were already gone since it is October, but I learned a lot about medicinal plants. Very neat!

Beautiful gardens are nestled in the high benches of Salt Lake City. Meandering from garden to garden, I leanred about plants and tress I have been seeing in the mountain west that I knew nothing. about. The rose garden is absolutely beautiful. I had no idea such beautiful roses can be grown in this part of the country. The uppermost gardens have spectular views of the city. This botanical site is a gem. I was to go seasonally

Heaven for flower-lovers and non-gardeners alike! We spent an entire afternoon at Red Butte Garden & Arboretum and there was still more to see. The admission fee is worth it. You can bring in a picnic and sit at one of the courtyard tables or find a secluded bench along one of the flower or herb gardens.Even veteran gardeners will find something new to love here. The Sprout House area makes a great stop for children with its topiary tunnels, water play areas, and fairy-tale inspired mini gardens. Those who want a more rugged experience can head out on one of the 100-acre property's hiking trails. Final stop: The gift shop, which contains Red Butte Garden wildflower seeds, great gardening books, and beautiful, garden-inspired gifts.

Reb Butte gardens is an amazingly beautiful garden spot in near the U of U. They also have a tremendous outdoor concert series. This evening was Steve Miller and company. A beautiful evening , great show and appreciative audience. Check out their website for all the details.

Red Butte Gardens is one of my favorite places on the planet. If you're like me and you like plants and landscape gardening, or you simply enjoy being surrounded by beautiful, peaceful nature, you will love this place as much as I do. Plus, they have fascinating events on a regular schedule. Check out the Bonsai show; Red Butte hosts it twice a year, and the Bonsai trees are fantastic. (Red Butte's website has the details).

This is my favorite place in Salt Lake! I recommend it to everyone. Great kids area, classes, tours, volunteer opportunities, concerts. It is a fantastic place to spend a day.

So beautiful any time of year. There is so much to appreciate here, from the hiking trails to the immaculate gardens. There are classes, yoga, and tours. It's so worth it to have a membership even if you only come a few times a year. I love the low-water step garden with all the local plants and beautiful cacti. There is a very cute and adventurous children's area with little paths and "secret" hideouts. I'm jealous and want an adult-sized one!

The membership is a great way to visit the garden year around. I have my favorite little hidden spots and love taking a stroll. Also, it's mostly wheelchair accessible which is great for my kiddo. The water wise garden is a good spot to learn about native species and get home garden ideas.

Beautiful views of the Salt Lake valley. The gardens are very beautiful and well maintained. There is a small entrance fee that is used to keep up the gardens.

Would have given it 5 stars but there is no warning or caring recourse given by the front desk if you show up on a concert day and they decided to close early because of it. They should discount or offer a voucher.
