Reali Review

We recently used Reali to purchase a home in Oakland. Our Reali agent, Lanette, was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. She did a great job and helped us close on a home in a very competitive market. Unlike a normal agent, Reali is less hands-on (ex. it's app/email based communication and it's mostly up to the buyer to find the homes they are interested in). That wasn't an issue for us and our work was more than paid off by the % of the buyer's commission we received from Reali. We'd definitely recommend Reali to other prospective homeowners.

Ask for Daniel Tanori as your agent! After getting disappointed upon working with other realtors, we came across Reali through a Google search. Daniel was assigned to us as our buying agent and this being our first time as buyers in the Bay Area, we were missing out on a ton of information, but we re glad that we had Daniel to help us. He is knowledgeable, patient and a very nice person to work with. He was always swift at whether it is booking a tour or following up with the seller's agent and/or answering to all kinds of concerns we had. And most importantly, he was always responsive and got back to our messages instantly. We never had to remind him about a single thing in the process, it was rather the opposite. Since our first conversation on the phone with him, until we closed and got the keys handed over, Daniel has been there for us. His enthusiasm has been as good as if he was buying for himself and which is very rare to find these days. We are very happy with the overall services from Daniel and would like to congratulate Reali for having employees like Him.
We also would like to recognize the loan officer Gazelle Tarzi. She made the entire loan process so easy for us.

Very poor communication, lack of origination and leadership. I tried to get a loan with Reali Loans and buy a home with Reali both experiences were horrible. Could not get any offers accepted, agent unresponsive seemed lost in the transactions. Rated on the loan side are very with scam fees built im. Went to KW got offer accepted on first try.

We just recently closed a house sold through Reali. It wasn't a good experience at all dealing with Reali Escrow which all Reali sales go through, so we didn't have a choice in. Our Reali Escrow agent was not responsive and caused a significant delay in our closing which then we had to pay a per diem to seller for. The agent didn't respond to our lender's fee request and didn't pick up calls from the lender, our buyer agent, or us.
When the agent finally did, she said she didn't receive the request. Then, later she said the request went to the junk mail filter. SERIOUSLY!??? Haven't you dealt with Bank of America before!??? It overall took 40 hours for the title company just to respond to our lender's fee request! And then another 6 hours after final loan docs were sent before the agent sent us the information for the money transfer - well passed same day money transfer cutoff time!!!
Then after our lender transferred the funds in the morning, the agent didn't close our case until the next day - adding another delay. Again, we, the buyer, are the one that paying for this delay.
And just now we just received an email telling us that they haven't paid for our house and flood insurances. SERIOUSLY!??? You asked us to transfer the insurance premiums to you because you were going to do it!! It was on the statement you sent us!!
How can Reali Escrow can be this incompetent? Wait, all Reali seller must go through Reali Escrow, that must be why they don't care.
I can give the detailed timeline for proof.

I bought house with Reali in 2017. My personal experience with Reali team was good.

DO NOT USE REALI: I'm a past client. I found it strange that once we started working with them, we didn't get a list of fees or terms. I looked on their Terms & Conditions of their website, but it was vague. My wife and I personally asked our agent, different managers and employees, etc for terms, fees, an agreement, etc. We were told different answers basically amounting (in my opinion) "don't worry about it". We never received a list of fees UNTIL AFTER we were legally bound to complete a home purchase. They denied offering us the rebate which they advertised EVERYWHERE on their site and the internet, and also told us that we'd have to pay $4000 a month in rent to them until the second closing finished. We specifically asked about fees and terms to avoid that exact situation. Because it was near the holidays and there was a deadline to purchase, there was literally only one business day to digest what they were telling us. Between everything we lost $12,000 that had been budgeted to put into renovations.

If you want to work with a company that pulls stuff like this, go ahead. However, there are other companies that provide a similar service offering, like flyhomes.com

I've had a fantastic experience working with Sherie (real estate agent at Reali) in the East Bay. Have also had a great experience with Gazelle (loan officer at Reali). Having all phases of the home buying and selling process handled under one roof is so much more convenient. The tech platform visibility of what stage of documentation you're in while pre-qualifying is convenient too. Also, the comps report you can order online for homes is a nice feature. It's clear that this is the future of the real estate industry.

Would not recommend. Looking for a straight W2, cash-out refi, was rushed into a rate lock the day after application was submitted and paid $500 deposit. This was on 6-18-21 we re now in August with no signs of closing or communication as to when, multiple emails gone unanswered. Their processor has made multiple mistakes asking for forms already in their possession or requesting documents that do not exist (ever) or are unrelated.

I had high hope they would be helpful . In the beginning they called and kept in touch and walked me through the process. Then they ran my credit, had a great credit score and went to underwriting and did not receive any call back or emails despite numerous attempts. They never told me if I was approved or denied or need anything further to process the loan approval. Still in the market but will look else where for help in my home buying journey.
