I'd say my overall experience is great. Faculty members, advisors, admissions, finance, student association leaders; all very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Only con I can think of is parking and miscellaneous fees that are exorbitant and probably take a huge bite out of loans. But college isn't cheap and that's to be expected. Also, please give some leeway to admin as they are coordinating thousands of peoples' education plans. That's not easy.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are willing to go that extra step to help you exceed in your academic endeavors.

Makerspace needs to be more open and accepting to actually allow students to build things. ...kind of the whole point.

staff who is giving information about the studies and details of international students joining process required more training and knowledge about surrounding universities too..so sad thing is no computer science related courses where more international students are coming to canada for higher education.actually this college has very less courses to attract international students when compared with colleges in big cities like edmonton ,calgary,toronto.

Great place to get trade education. We recommend it to all parents who is considering to put their kids to trade school.

Red Deer college is a wonderful junior college but lacks the intricacies of web securities to enable online students consistent access to the website during non office hours. I have complained on numerous occasions about getting locked out of my account despite writing down and using current passwords and changing them when possible. It is next to impossible to gain access to my own account let alone blackboard live after hours classes when on the road which I believe many a rural student faces. I have been frustrated on numerous occasions and am never really offered a reason nor apology. Often times I gain acccess through the U of S site where I hold a baccalaureate degree.

RDC is great, but I was sad to see the Makerspace shut down with no plans to reopen. I really hope they're able to get that going again once we're over this Covid stuff.

All the staff and faculty members have been great! I know RDC is getting ready to transition into a university, after attending Grant Macewan I hope RDC can improve their student system and their tuition offers. (city transit + free use of gym, pool and other related facilities) to better compete with other institutions.

Great facility my wife's daughter is in the extended care unit at bethany collegeside and the have a great staff there that takes great care of her

Staff are great. Their main building is in good conditions. However residences for trade students are down. Wind leaks through windows. And no repairs made to dents in items. Cost of residence compared to other universities tv for living room should be included.

RDC email: we will continue delivery of courses online. My response: I wish to have my SA, fitness and health fees refunded as they do nothing for me sitting at home. email from RDC: pay it or drop out. when you get here you understand. first they decide not to pay me for work over the summer citing "budget issues" and blindly robbing the public of their hard earned money? SA fees do nothing. they pay for a career counselor to email you a piece of paper citing outside sources. they also pay to upgrade a bar that no one can use because of covid. WORST MANAGED COLLEGE IN CANADA when you get here you understand On a separate note: the teachers here are stellar

This college is screwing with not only my daughter's education, but now my step-daughter's as well!!! Both girls enrolled for the fall term, and both have had the computer system automatically drop not only their enrollment, but also all their classes on them repeatedly! And they have both went in & were told it was fixed....not just once, but twice...and it still isn't fixed! My daughter gave up & went to Edmonton instead of transferring there next year, and my step-daughter is so frustrated, she is almost ready to throw in the towel too!!! This college has gone so far downhill that it can't seem to get things right! As a parent, this is heart-breaking to see. And for the girls, talk about throwing a major curve-ball at their dreams!!! Way to go RDC....great way to encourage young people!

It's really pretty and the staff are all on board to help you out. I think it's a great community. That's why I decided to go here!

Smaller facility, decent staff, clean building. All in all, it is a traditional college with stereotypical skyrocket prices on EVERYTHING, even paper!

cashier 8 spearheaded. I paid for my sister account and she punch it to other account. She didn't even ask the name, when I check the receipt it goes to other Student name. I can't think of words why you work there! ( college)

I like courses offered by this institution. They provide high quality education service.

AST teachers are awesome for first year great shop has everything you need to learn to be a mechanic they teach you 2 things here how to wrench on vehicles and how to talk like a mechanic

I've never taken classes here, but visiting to meet staff for work i was impressed with the location and the helpfulness and friendliness of staff.

GRRRRR ! I m so f ing angry.... I m sick as a dog for a full week, get my sorry, coughing, hacking, self to school for my exam... only to have it canceled because Red Deer college didn t send the right exam (the college sent a welding exam.... to a Professional Bookkeeping class) and NO ONE booked the class room..... REALLY?!?! $5000 per student, times 22 students and they can t find anyone smart enough to book a classroom and provide the correct exam... SMFH Our class is EVERY Tuesday and Thursday, between October 3 and June 12... but for some reason, there was another class booked in our room tonight.... uh..... DUH! Seems like a no brainer to me that we should have been booked into OUR regular classroom for our exam..... but, what the hell do I know?!?! I just paid $5000 and have nowhere to write my mid term.... Thanks for the professionalism Red Deer College.... NOT!!!

Came here for my carpentry apprenticeship and was very pleased. Great shop and great spaces to study/draw blueprints. Also, you can get through your "8 weeks" in 5 weeks and get back to work early if you're feeling ambitious. Huge bonus in my books.

The most frustrating online experience I ve ever had from just changing your password to collecting tax forms. If it s online it s trash. Doesn t deserve 1 star.

Staff are very friendly, and approachable, and eager to help.

this situation doesn't have to do with me but it has to do with two others how many times can you get a registration wrong both online and in person because of this loans are held homework cannot be retrieved and students miss out on their classes for this is both lazy and unprofessional especially for the premium price to be taught at this facility if you are going to pay premium expect a premium service and do not take anything less

I was pleased to have my son attend a college so close to home to learn business and was shocked when last night he received an email saying he was pulled from all his classes. We had him registered for both terms. They have my credit card on file that they take monthly payments from and apparently, for some unknown reason they didn't continue taking payments? No notice from anybody except an email to say he is pulled from class. I am shocked that they are teaching him business and broke the #1 rule which is customer retention!! What is wrong with this place? Where is the communication or care and concern for their students? I am extremely disappointed in this establishment and their lack of service because when I tried to help him get this sorted out, I was treated very poorly and am appalled at the ignorance and attitude of the office. Extremely dissatisfied in RDC.

No one allowed on college campus..curb side pick up by appointments only.. crazy

TRADES STAY AWAY! Entire school shuts down when important classes are over (bar, library, game room). Only thing open is the classroom and you mite even get kicked out due to overbooking. They tell you "If you're parked on gravel and out of breath at the doors, You're parked in the right spot". I want my money back and reimbursed for my time wasted.

Where education takes place. Great people friendly atmosphere.

I hired an alumni to work on the transmission of my car. Not only did it take him 17 hours, he failed to repair the vehicle and caused $500 in damages that had to be repaired by someone else. He did not show up to complete the job, does not answer emails and his phones are disconnected. If Robert Wollersheim is an example of the education you receive here, I suggest you look elsewhere.
