Worst service we ve had here. We eat here on average about once a month when we make it into the city. We always sit at the bar and usually have fantastic service with bartender Melissa, but tonight we had Josh. We came in a little before 6 and immediately ordered drinks and an app. Before the app even came out we went ahead and ordered our entrees. Halibut, Grouper and Lobster Mac. At 7p we finally asked Josh to check on our order and told him we had to leave soon for a show. He came back and said he remembered the halibut but he may have forgotten to put our side in. We told him if it wasn t coming out soon we needed to cancel. He comes back and tells us he spoke to the manager and it would be at least 15 min because they were so crowded. (Side note: the bar was not full and the hostess told us the restaurant was not full and there was seating available). We told him to cancel the order because we did not have time to wait. He comped our two drinks, but a manager never came out to check on why we canceled an order. He bragged early on about being the best bartender ... seems like his ego may have gotten the best of him and he should work on getting orders in and then bragging. I believe we will be taking Rays out of our rotation for a while.

The service was fabulous and Mercury did an awesome job of presenting the deals of the day!! He was attentive to our needs and asked if everything was ok. We will highly recommend that you eat here again!!!

I truly enjoyed this cafe, the food is incredible, plus the shower rooms were not bad. It was a little cool inside, so that was not perfect. The service is good. I will certainly think about returning again if I ever land the opportunity. Me as well as my good friend ordered the combo as well as we were not disappointed. My one tip is to keep the cool outside. Laters!

Went to Ray's before the Eagle's concert at State Farm on February 7. Great ambience, service, food and drinks. Even though they were SUPER busy and short-staffed, the service from our server, Rachel, was fantastic and she got us out in plenty of time to get to the concert. Will definitely be back.

My Sisters and I had a great experience at Ray s in The City this pass weekend! The food was amazing and our beautiful server Chaianne was very knowledgeable and friendly! Next time we come back I will want Chaianne to be our server! And a Pineapple Margarita!!

First of all the FOOD was amazing and definitely a 5 star. The reason I'm giving this place a 3 star review is because the dinning area was hot and felt overcrowded. Where I was seated I couldn't hear the live music playing even through I made reservations a month ahead of time. I personally wouldn't spend my money here again. The waiter was cool and so was the rest of the staff but to me it's just not worth the extra money.

The food tasted good however it was undercooked and the service was horrendous. When I got to a part of my salmon and saw that it was not cooked all the way I told the server and the server said "what do you want me to do" and then they took the piece that I have left instead of giving me a new portion of salmon. Then brought back the portion still uncooked. Not one person apologized or owned up to the fact that they gave me undercooked food and all seem to have an attitude because I actually ate some of it. Another woman with me, her entire Salmon was undercooked.

Wife and I visited Atlanta for a football game. The night before we decided to check out Ray's. It was fantastic!!! The entire experience was amazing. The steak, oysters, crab cake, and sides were perfect. On top of all the food, was the service. We had Chaianne take care of us. Her menu knowledge and attitude made the visit well worth it. I would like to thank her for helping to make our trip one to remember

My coworker had this dessert and it looked AMAZING. There was a group of us so we started with the Loaded Statesboro Blue Cheese chips - ALWAYS a winner!!! I like the Maine Lobster bisque - it's sort've rich but it's disgustingly GOOD!!! Now here's where I have an issue, I'm very partial to their seafood platter (fried), but I've watched over the past years as 2 pieces of fish dwindled to 1/2 of one piece, 2 crab cakes became 1 smaller crab cake, scallops is now down to 3 as well as the shrimp. It's still all very good, but it's a noted observation. Overall, great experience - just don't forget to ask for bread! Oh, and please try the Killer Pineapple Margarita - IT WAS not fruity sweet, just a darn good tasting drink (on the rocks)!!

Service was friendly but inattentive. Waiter opened but did not pour wine. I ordered a rib-eye and was served a NY strip. Sides were not delivered to table with steaks. All in all it was good but not what I would have expected based upon other reviews and prices.

We waited over an hour for our food and when it did arrive it was cold/warm. My waitress made it much much better though. They did give us free cake for the wait and 25% off all 8 tickets but that was my first and last time eating at this place. The food was a little pricey and didn't taste like the price would suggest.

Great service and menu - but if you want a Cuban, find another location. Cubans are Cubans and there's not shortcutting. Ray's is on a Panini when it could easily have been on real Cuban bread, it's not pressed, had a smattering of contents placed like a scoop of ice cream, and over half of the sandwich was bread. So hey Ray, if you're going to serve a Cuban, make the sandwich proud. Otherwise, why make it at all? Other than this want-a-be but never-be, Ray's is well worth a visit.

The crab cakes like always are great at Rays. I went around 4 and sat at the bar. They weren't very busy and I ordered a two glasses of champagne, the bartender was alittle busy finishing up with a couple seated at the bar, so they didn't charge me for my second glass of champagne. The atmosphere is great and it definitely improved my entire day.

My experience is a little different. My girlfriend and I were returning from the Expo when we got caught at the light and a gentleman stood next to us. We started up a conversation and he mentioned that he had a restaurant right across the street, Ray's In the City. On our last day in Atlanta (Sunday) we went to Ray's In the City. The atmosphere was nice, the receptionist was very friendly as was the waiters and waitresses. As we sat there talking about the great weekend we had, our food was being served and to our surprise, it was Mike, one of the owners, the man we had spoken with the day before. He recognized us and wanted to thank us for coming to the restaurant. That spoke volumes about the leadership of Ray's In the City and the food was excellent. I had the Blackened Salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. My girlfriend had the crab cakes and she said her food was delicious as well. I give Ray's In the City 5 stars and thumbs up. Thank you for the wonderful experience you gave us at your restaurant. Ruby

We eat at Rays in the City because it s located beside hotel Indigo, we are so glad it is because it is delicious! We ate on Sunday evening and our waiter was Troy. He has the most pleasant deep voice and is an extremely good waiter! Our food, the salmon Oscar and the filet Oscar with lobster, was nothing short of fabulous. We added the Brussel Sprouts and they too are delicious! A wonderful meal on all accounts! Ps the warm blueberry cake is a must!

Waiter was very rude when he found out we were leaving, after he bought us our drinks. He didn t say excuse me and throw change and bill on the table. We were waiting on the rest of our party and decided to stop there for a drink until they arrived. Plan was to come back after we retrieved the rest of the party, but after his rude behavior, we decided not to return.

We always book one to two nights at Ray's during our market trip to Atlanta! After more than 10 years of eating at Ray's we can always report the service, the food and the ambiance is on point! This time we were pleased to have Jesus as our server! All I can say is WOW!! I don't think we have ever had a server like him!! OVER THE TOP!! And the nicest guy as well! We will be sure to reserve our table next year with Jesus! Can't wait to see him next year!!!

We went here for our 26th wedding anniversary celebration on a Thursday night. We had a short wait for our table since we had reservations. There was an hour wait for those that didn't. And with covid-19 restrictions, seatings were at half capacity since they were only seating every other table for social distancing. Also menus were online and you had to scan the QR code to see menu.
Right from the start we could tell it was a swanky place, from the waiting area to the well dressed servers. Servers were courteous and professional.
Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we went all out. We ordered drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Everything was delicious. But the wait for the food was long. We spent 2 hours there.

This was the WORST dining experience I have ever had! I waited over an hour for my steak while the person next to me ordered his dinner after me and finished his dessert before I got my dinner. The server didn t check it until I asked and then it still took 20 minutes to get my dinner. I was expected a top-notch restaurant and I was greatly disappointed. Will not be coming back.

So tonight I had the best time at Ray's, and it's all due to Phil! He took us the through the menu so elegantly. We had the Calamari and it was so zesty and full of flavor. Then he led us to the horseradish grouper and the seafood platter and when I say I had nothing more than the best experience of my life... I will be back and there's no way I won't ask for Phil!!

Went here yesterday for my mother s surprise birthday dinner! Our server Telesa was awesome! I took her suggestion and ordered the Honey Glazed Salmon and it is TO DIE FOR. Telesa was very professional, kind, and very patient with our party. She set up (candles and everything) and brought my moms cake out, which I really appreciated. Overall it was a great experience. My cocktail was amazing (shout out to the bartender) and my salmon was made to perfection. If you dine here, ask for Telesa!

It wasnt horrible, but all around sort of disappointing for a "fine dining" place. Server was a bit slow at the beginning and made numerous mistakes such as forgetting an appetizer and placing the wrong entree.
Their knowledge on GF for Celiacs was shaky at best, my husband would have been really sick if we didnt ask them to double check on some ingredients.
My rare steak looked like it was cooked by somebody who didnt know how to cook a rare steak - barely any sear on the outside.
The only reason they get 3 stars is because most of the food was good and they were willing to make up for the mistakes. Just surprised they happened in the first place when it's fine dining?

Sushi and dessert. A great ending on a long day. Loved the chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Would have loved to try more of the sushi, but too much good food while in Atlanta made that impossible tonight.

Easily one of the best sea food experience I've had to date. I highly recommend the Market Salmon with the pan seared mushrooms as your side. Great quiet romantic date environment located in the heart of downtown.
