I visited this establishment on yesterday afternoon for the first time after the Atlanta Dream game... very nice and inviting atmosphere... was greeted by the manager and hostess as we entered... was promptly seated and not too long after that taking care of... our waitress was Brittany and she is AWESOME... that young lady know her stuff... she went through the menu for us and made suggestion... that rarely happens and we eat out a lot... THANK YOU BRITTANY and we'll definitely be back to Rays in the city of Atlanta... my boo had horseradish encrusted black grouper and I had the salmon oscar... both were great entrees... has the goat cheese fritters and a side of mac and cheese... Very nice. Your server starts you off with drinks, appetizer, dinner then dessert. They are very attentive, will keep the water glass filled and make sure everything is good. You have questions feel free to ask. This is a great place for seafood at its best.

Don't order steak from their lunch menu. The medium steak was still mooing. Sent it back and it came back charred, they tried to cover it up with sauce instead. Even the manager came out and said their lunch" chefs" don't normally cook stalls....at a steak house!

First time customers and visitors to Atlanta. Restaurant was recommended and exceeded beyond what we had expected. The atmosphere, location of table, comfort of seating was perfect just perfect. The presentation, quantity, freshness of food deserves 10 stars including our waiter Troy who was prompt and patient for first time restaurant visitors.

Good.

I was treated to a fabulous birthday dinner and the food and service was amazing. Danielle (our waitress) did an exceptional job with taking care of us. She went above and beyond in making our experience a great one. We'll definitely be back.

Very racist. They did not want to sit us or even show us the bathroom. The server Ms Tee was great you should request her, she made us feel
comfortable. They even turned away Two Chains because he had a hoodie on.

Good service is hard to come by and great service is even harder, from the second we met Mercury he was amazing; friendly, personable, nice just a great individual. I ve been to rays many times but for sure this was my most memorable time and it s directly because of the above and beyond service I received from him. Thanks for bringing a smile to us in these uncertain times you are a true hero!

Just tried ordering through their online system for a celebration dinner. Had an order of $200. They canceled it on their end. They even took the money out our account and then had the nerve to call and say we couldn't pick up our order because they needed 24-48hr notice. As if we're the one that canceled the orde in the first place.

Do you think they offered anything because of this? Just said sorry. I used to tell everyone this place was great but that is just bad business and bad service. I definitely won't be going again and will tell everyone to stay away from it.

We had the best date night at Rays on the River. The food was amazing! The entire restaurant was committed to safety and social distancing and it felt so safe and enjoyable. Our servers Alyssa and Daniel were awesome!

Smh..first off, we ordered simple food off the menu. We both had a 14 oz ribeye cooked medium, and WHIPPED Yukon gold mashed potatoes. As you can see in the pictures, there are chunks of potatoes which means it's not whipped! When I order what is described in the menu, that's what I want!! They should be silky, and delicious. So disappointment number two were the overcooked and under seasoned steaks. When I ask for MEDIUM , that's how I want it! They must've thought that was too raw like they had to eat them or something!! Smh...and the biggest disappointment of all? The price! It cost $46.00 EACH for the steaks and $8.00 per order of potatoes bringing the grand total to $111.08! Thank God I had a $100 giftcard that I had won from a radio station contest ( which was expired due to the stations negligence)but they were nice enough to honor it! That was the best thing about the whole experience! Not having to pay full price! So go if you must, but being a chef myself, I expected WAY more!

Ray's is just...well...Ray's. I came for a corporate event and tried to get a glass of Champagne. Twice it came out flat and, after that, I just switched to the house red. Company events are always tricky -- especially when it comes to ordering steak. All my companions ordered the filet (which was to be prepared medium), but I knew better and ordered the chicken. All of the steak's came out medium-well to well-done because they get fired and then sit under the heat lamp until it's time to serve everyone. The chicken was great, but the over-buttered mashed potatoes were not the best I've ever had. If you're stuck downtown, this is an OK option, but get in an Uber and go find something more Atlanta.

We went there in a group of 7 for lunch. It was so loud but good food and relatively fast services. I tried chopped salad with chicken it was good. Others tried chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits, salmon salad, seafood platter they all liked it.

I am an Asian and I have never expected that I can have this high level Sushi in the US!!!! The Sushi here is just amazing!!!! Fillet Mignon is great and all cocktails are just so good!!!!

The only minus is the environment is a bit crowded and noisy. Everyone who ever have a chance staying in Downtown Atlanta must pay a visit to Ray s in City.

You would like to make reservation before visiting; this place is just so popular!!!

I ve never taken the time to review anything on google. But this one is definitely a must. I went to Rays in the City with a group of friends last weekend. It took over a hour with a reservation to be seated... after we are seated it took another 25 minutes to be even acknowledged by our waiter. I had to go up to be the bar and get my own drink. I knew if I didn t I would ve had to wait another century just to get a drink. The food was over priced for no reason there was no flavor to anything. The steak was so dry and so small for the price you re paying. The fact that this restaurant is in Atlanta is quite a disappointment. During our meal the waiter didn t come once to ask us how our meal was or even refill our drinks. Some of us had water and some of us had soda. This poor guy that came to pick up our plates had to refill ALL our glasses with water. That s the best service we had gotten all night. I was wishing I was going to see him again and i would ve made sure my tip went to him. Over all the worst experience I ve EVER gotten at a restaurant. Save your money and go to Waffle House instead the service and the food are 100 X better.

Made a reservation for 7 but wasn't told until we arrived that they could not seat 7 of us together. So my party had to sit at 2 separate tables and we were not able to enjoy our meals together. The food was good but not worth the price. Wouldn't rank it any higher than an outback steakhouse. I had expected a higher class of service. The waiter practically ignored us during our meals as well, couldn't get a glass of wine to enjoy with my meal as I could not find the waiter anywhere.

The food was good. A little lacking in the seasoning department which is disappointing since this is Atlanta....Our waiter clearly hasn't been waiting tables very long. He was friendly but not attentive

I thought it is standard practice that after completing the first course of your meal that the table is cleared before bringing out the next course. In this case the staff began distributing the food w/o clearing the table. The staffer was about to place the plate on top of the other had I not moved it. Shockingly I had to demand they stop and clear the table first before passing out the next course as it was very cluttered. I ve been to the other locations on busy occasions and the service level was much much better.
