The food is a little pricy, but for good reason. Everything was delicious! The serving staff was very polite, and our my waiter was excellent. Every question he was asked, he answered with a quick response off of the top of his head. As for the building itself, the decorations were nice, but the view of the waterfront was stunning, especially in the evening.

We went to the first floor fancy restaurant and let me say, it's expensive. Not too bad for the food, they offer bread bowls that also have saltless large crackers as an option, but you are definitively paying for the Sound view.
You do get nice hot towels after you eat to clean up, so a little of the expense is for that bonus too.

Excellent location for outdoor dining with an incredible view. Right on Puget Sound with sweeping views. Worth the wait for outdoor patio. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food was good standard faire. Fish & chips I'd order again. Enjoyed mine however I've had better so nothing really rocked my world. Calimari was tasteful with some decent flavor. I enjoy a bit more delicate breading personally. I prefer more of a classic ivar's chowder and less spice. Accommodating in ordering. Covid - Plan to wear your mask even while at table except while actively eating. Good about social distancing and mask enforcement.

Ray's is fabulous in every way. Service is top notch, food is fresh, creative and make you longer & savor each bite delicious - and this is true for their menu and when creating a dish for special dietary needs (we called ahead band the chef spoke to us to ensure we were cared for!). It's my family's choice for every special occasion!

One busy place! Restaurant Manager a bit arrogant and in denial over the fact that I pointed out wrong web info on opening and closing times. I figured I would do him a favor to be able to correct misleading website info. Instead he stared me down on my whole visit, making me feel not welcome! I used to manage restaurants! He should be more appreciative rather than in denial and defensive! I did not expect free drinks after all!

Great service and food to go along with amazing views of Elliott Bay. They didn't have a vegan option on the menu but the waiter aksed the chef whip something up, it was delicious! This would be a great spot to take out of town visitors, or for a date night. We ate in the downstairs restaurant which is white tablecloth fine dinning, there was also an upstairs area that looked more casual.

rays has always been a pretty good local restaurant. however 2 times I've gone there my food was way over cooked. scallops and halibut at a place like this should always be cooked just rite. almost chocked on the scallops on a fist date it was embarrassing. I would of gave them a 3.5 if there was an option for it but I thought 3 is a little harsh. still an ok dinning place especially is you want the view. if you get a good window seat you can see the tiny fish in the under water lights feed off the pilings

Our server Josh C employee #1095 right off the bat didn't seem like he cared at all, it was 74f outside and the heat was blasting outside and when asked if they can turn it off he said yes but never turned it off, had to ask another server. was very slow at refilling our water, order a side house salmon that never came out even after reminding him once. And the house salmon still came on the bill, and after letting him know we got a lousy apology. And then he grabbed a used pen from a table that haven't been cleared off yet and handed it to us. (During covid-19) Overall it was a huge disappointment and inattention to detail at such an expensive restaurant.

Ate at the cafe upstairs for the first time. Hostess was great, we didn't make a reservation and there was barely a wait time. Waiter was good, busy but still attentive. Had some chowder and some fish and chips. My only complaint was I had to ask for tarter sauce. Other than that, good food and service with a million dollar view for a reasonable price. Will be taking the family here more often.

Still good, but may have slipped a bit since our last visit 3+ years ago. Fish a bit overdone and some issue with grit left on salad. Small issues... but expect more when paying premium prices.

Ray s is still nice and pleasantly upscale. The crowd wasn t dynamic the night we visited but the food wowed our business guests and the offerings covered all the bases. Service superb and the view is still killer.

A little on the pricey side, but the food and the view lived up to it! Service was solid which really helped push from four to five stars. I'll definitely recommend to friends and coworkers who visit Seattle.

Top notch food & service. Came here back in August of 2019 for our Anniversary. Had the Ahi Tuna, steamer clams & clam chowder. Everything was AMAZING BUT especially the clam chowder & steamer clams. I don't typically do clam chowder but Ray's was out of this World! Do yourself a favor & TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! You WILL NOT be disappointed!
