Enjoy great views from the deck of the sounds as you enjoy good seafood and drinks. Lunch time or dinner are great. Watching the sunset over the Olympics is spectacular

Heated area outside with a great view.
Good food.
Over priced, but still delicious. The cafe upstairs is just as good but a little more less expensive as far as variety
Really sad that they dont have happy hour anymore. Guess that means I wont go back haha. But still good to see it is still here after so long.
Great place, good food, service and location. Right on the shore
The amazing view and delicious fair make this a must visit spot in Seattle. Sunset views of sailboats with the freshest seafood in town.
The environment is very beautiful, comfortable and worth a visit
Very disappointing. Food was mediocre at best. Not sure why it s so popular... maybe just the water view?
If you haven't been to Ray's yet. Than you owe it to yourself to go and give it a try. It's been around for many decades now and for good reason. The food is excellent, the environment is classic, the service is great and the view is perfect. A perennial favorite of people in the region for that special meal or just a nice summer day at the bar, on the deck! If you have guests coming into town that want to eat at a true northwest restaurant that serves local seafood. Look no further and bring them to Ray's. By the way... the parking is on the pier itself with a valet service if you choose.
Best clam chowder ever! Also the Creme Brulee was fantastic.
Buffett wasn't as good as in the past. Shrimp and oysters seemed old.
Deep fried cod that you could get at Skippers. One bite was all I took, same for the wife. Four scallops plopped on some pasta. I really expected something a bit special but was really disappointed. The drinks were good and the setting is amazing, A star each for drinks and a sunset. The food,...just one.
Outstanding view, service and food. Great place to relax and enjoy a local brew.
Excellent food, as always. Can't get enough of the beautiful views from the restaurant and in the area.
Fabulous view, excellent service, outstanding preparation of seafood. Northwest with Asian and Mexican influences. Good wine list. Nice cocktail menu, plus some nice non-alcoholic drinks, including a house-made shrub.
Expected better food choices for price. Boring menu
Wonderful views of the water, plenty of parking. A fixture on the Ballard waterfront. Their menu, while not extensive, includes some great some great seafood, as well as salad options. Nothing spectacular, but a very solid option.
Hot Buttered Rum after 4 hours sailing was wonderful
What can I say about Ray's? I took my husband and some friends for birthday dinner. The food was delicious, service professional & we had a great view of the sound & Olympics. Relaxed & relatively quiet ambience so we could actually hear each other. Our friends are still talking about how much they enjoyed the evening. My favorites we're the mussels and the 30 year old Port.
Stunning! Excellent service and delish meals. You will not be disappointed.
Upscale restaurant with 2 floors, it s next to the Puget Sound sea.
Good food better drinks and the service was fantastic!
Great food and great view. The cafe upstairs is great and not bad prices.
Copper River King done to perfection. Waiter Alex very professional. What happened to the valet parking?
What a pleasant way to spend some quality time with love ones. The food was delightful, the view of the Sound fantastic and that overall feeling of relaxation priceless.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SEAFOOD PLACES ON THE WATER TO WATCH THE SUNSET.
Great happy hour and good social distancing, back patio even has heaters for the winter months, Sarah is awesome
This place is awesome! Seafood and steak are 2nd to none !
The waiter that I had sure was yummy to look at. I sat in the bar alone. His smile made me feel welcome, the food was also wonderful...
Great food with a scenic view. It doesn't get much better than that.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle...If for no other reason than the view. If you haven't had drinks and/or food at sunset here atleast once, you're wrong.
King salmon and mussels were delicious. Little pricey but quality matches the price.
Great food and friendly staff. Awesome views from the deck !!
The food wasn't very good even though it was quite expensive.
Spectacular views, friendly staff, and good (but pricey) crab legs.
Fantastic venue on the water (Northwest Room). Completely separate from the restaurant.
Very low key atmosphere and great seafood. The fish I had was the best I tried during that trip nice and tasty large salad. Great variety and the view is to die for. Gorgeous. Loved it
Food is not as good as environment, the view from our table was phenomenal, the service is also great
Had a wonderful dinner there with in-laws, we ordered different entrees so that we can share, scallops with ink spaghetti's, salmon, sable fish, and steak, they all came out tasty and with good portion. Service was good too. And did I mention the waterfront view? It was awesome :)
Really enjoyed our meal at Ray's! My wife and I always look for restaurants on the coast so we can watch the boat traffic while eating. Ray's did not disappoint! With the close proximity to the locks, there was a fairly steady flow of a variety of boats. We really enjoyed the brie & apple plate for an appetizer! I had the clam chowder. My son and I both had salmon sandwiches and my wife had the sea scallops on squid ink spaghetti! All were presented well and delicious!
Great view, food is not bad either!
Definitely a best place to relax with friends and family
Beautiful place! There were some otters swimming near by, what an amazing night!
Went out for dinner from out of town. Its a great Seattle place the food was delightful, atmosphere is relaxing, and service is exceptionally wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone.
fantastic food, service, vibe and views. what could be better. /josh
Great view & delicious food made for a lovely evening with friends!
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, good food. What's not to like?
A very tasty experience, anyone who has taste should go..
$30 dollar whiskey samples are a bit expensive for what you get...
Very good seafood. Every seat in the place has a great view of the Sound. A little bit on the expensive side.
The very best waterfront deck. The food is above average, prices are pretty reasonable. A great place for a casual/romantic dinner, or catching up with friends.
Really delicious food. Great service. Beautiful views
The view here is absolutely gorgeous! If you're looking for a good place to have a drink I'd highly recommend this place.
I've been going here for literally decades. Their quality had always been consistently excellent. The salmon and chioppino are our favorites. Some of the best salmon to be had in Seattle.
Oh yeah, love the bar here and the muscles are to die for. Yummmm!
Top 3: the ginger garlic green beans, the ginger garlic green beans, and the ginger garlic green beans! Seriously though, I wasn't very hungry after two weeks of eating the best of the PNW and really just wanted a big serving of veggies to get a jump start on eating normal again once our trip is over. Our server suggested the green beans and all others will be held to this standard. The half chicken dish with brussel sprouts, spatzle and a so yum glaze was unique and perfect. The bread and butter was too, tbh. We shared the puffed pastries with gruyere for an appetizer much to everyone's pleasure. My mom said the chowder was good but spicy.
Veg options: not many but my diaghter said the Ceaser was the beat she ever had--and those green beans!!!
In summary, excellent food with full fine dining service. Lovely ambiance, cool art and decor, full window waterfront views. I will be back when I'm in town again (to eat those green beans!)!
Fantastic seafood. The Cafe is very nice as well with more bar food on the menu. Never had a bad meal, and the service is great!
I went here for a special occasion. It was awesome. We were treated with excellent service, amazing views and what I thought was excellent food.
So I had a special white salmon and while I'm not a big salmon guy, it was a-freaking-mazing
My son had scallops and for me the red sauce did distract from the scallops but I appreciate trying new ways of serving a dish. The other dishes we had we both excellent and I was at capital grill the night before and Ray's Caesar salad took the win! Very well dressed and a perfect flavor.
While I cannot afford to come here very often, it will stay on my short list of places to go for special occasions
By the way, for the over 21 crowd, think happy hour upstairs!!!!
Many thanks to the team at Ray's !!!
Oh and those "bad reviews" that say they ran out of fish.... that's because they only have fresh fish and when it's gone - it's gone (till the boat comes back in) DUH
Boo for posting a bad review for that, maybe you prefer a guaranteed fish filet like a frozen patty at the fast food joints (rant off)
Love this place. Can not recommend the sable fish enough. Moderately pricey but more than with it. Beautiful views. Parking is somewhat limited and fills quickly. Also recommend reservations during peak season.
Great view, and the food looked excellent, next time I will eat there.
Love the happy hour at this iconic restaurant that sits at the edge of Puget Sound. The fact that it sits at the mouth of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, where you can watch ships of every imaginable shape and size pass by is an extra bonus. Also love that they have my favorite beer on tap Georgetown Brewer's Mannies.
Good meals- fish & chips and crab cakes but the house-made smoked salmon is the absolute best ever - anywhere. .. Upstairs views of the water were great and the staff was outstanding.
Great view, great service, great food...cheese plate is a ripoff.
