Rasmussen Landscapes Review

Horrible, unethical company! They sent me a bill for work that they did not do. I cancelled my appointment with them in advance, but their workers showed up anyways. When they showed up, I informed them that the work was already complete, and the workers left. I called Rasmussen and spoke with Corrine who was rude and informed me that the workers showed up so I was still responsible for the charge. I informed her that I cancelled the appointment in advance and she said that she had no record of this so I would still be charged. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me that she was the manager.

I called a few weeks later after I e-mailed them the invoice from the company that actually did the work for me prior to Rasmussen showing up. She said that she would erase the charge.

I called a few weeks later again and spoke with someone named Elora. She said that the notes on my account indicated that the charge would be erased but that her manager had to complete this. She said she would e-mail me within a week and let me know that it was taken care of. I never heard back.

I called a few weeks later once again and was told that the charge had not been taken care of. I was once again told that they would look into it and get back to me.

If you read through this companies reviews, you will find that many others have been cheated by this company.

I look forward to taking them to small claims court to ensure this behavior does not continue and that others will not be cheated by these shady characters in the future. I will spend whatever money and spend as much time as I need to make sure Rasmussen is held accountable for their lying and cheating of customers.

We have had Rasmussen for a number of years for weekly lawn mowing services. They have been excellent. They mow, clean and trim and we have been very happy. We recently had an area that needed to be cleaned out of scrub oaks and debris and then mulched. Their crew came out and did a great job. We have also had Rasmussen complete several other projects over the past few years and their work was excellent.

The crew is always courteous, timely, knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. Nobody does it better!

Dishonest company. Hired them to do snow removal on my moms house. They claim they came out two times on a day it barely snowed an inch. They billed me 300.00 and I am refusing to pay! Do not use these people.

For what they accomplished based on the time they spent at my yard wasn't acceptable. They lack communication for what needs to be done

Wish I could give zero stars. I signed the on-line weekly lawn care agreement on Oct 17. I never heard back. I called and was told I would get a call about the schedule which never happened. I called several days later and was told I was on the schedule for Oct 28. Again they never showed up. Because it was bad weather, I waited again for several days and still got no call and no service.

Foolishly, I called and set-p Fall Clean-up on Nov 5 and at that time asked when I might expect my first lawn service. I was told it would be that day. Again, nothing.

I received a call the next day asking to set-up the Fall Clean up day, which I had already scheduled with someone else. Again I asked when weekly lawn service would occur. I was told there was an objective in my front lawn and so the crew left without cutting the backyard or cutting around the object (a sink from a counter that was being replaced and in the yard for less than an hour). They didn't bother to come and ask if they could cut the grass or if I would move the object.

The service agent on the phone said they had cut the grass on Oct 28, which I disputed. He asked me if I could prove they had not done the job. How do I prove something didn't happen? He said he would look into the my account and get back to me, which has not happened.

Please save yourself the aggravation, go somewhere else. I used Rasmussen in the past and was satisfied, but something has changed. Customer service is terrible and not trustworthy. I will be canceling future service with them.

Wish I could give these guys zero star!! These people are the biggest thieves out there! I asked for their minimum service for a Sat and told them not to show up without confirmation but didn't hear from anyone, and no one showed up on Sat as I was in my front yard doing some other work all morning! They call me on Monday and tell me that their crew was on my property and did the work I asked!!! I was shocked how they had the nerves to claim something like that when first I specifically asked them not to show up without telling me and second I was in my front yard all morning and no one showed up! They said their GPS shows that but for all I know they guy could have come and turned around immediately!! My yard looked as messy as before as well! Their quality control guy stood us up twice when he said he would come and verify that no work was done and we missed some work meetings because of him!! They finally told us they will not charge us (obviously) but they sent us a bill! They are the worse people we have dealt with, they lie, they are rude, disorganized and the list goes on! They have the nerves to send fliers still, I will need to inform my neighborhood and send fliers around to save others! Reporting them to the BBB ...

These guys are really great! Wonderful to work with and they go a really good job. I highly recommend them.

Very impressed by the whole process, from scheduling to follow up on day of service and afterwards to the excellent yard crew that was sent to the house - everything was awesome!

Now on day 3 of waiting for these clowns to show up. have never received a call saying they are not coming or that they will reschedule. Receptionist is nice but has no clue where the workers are. they keep saying I will get a call from "the scheduler" who is never in the office when I call and never seems to schedule anything. Very dissapointing.

Rasmussen has been responsive and the workers have done a nice job on the lawn. I've been very happy with the service.

This is all you can expect when you hire Illegal aliens to work for your company. These people from south of the border have no conscience when it comes to doing a good job. This company hires them to get cheap labor so them can wallow in the Inflated profits. Call me racist if you want to, the facts speak for themselves. There in my neighborhood all the time. I never have and never will use this company. They leave fliers on my door several times a year even though I put a sign on my door saying not to. Ooh!, that's right, they don't understand english.

I really like the wonderful lawn crews we have had for many years from Rasmussen's. I don't like it when they change crews or times and don't let me know in advance.

Working with them on a spring cleaning was a nightmare. Truly a nightmare. I requested a quote, yet they went to work without quoting their service. They charged me $5700 for .44 acres that was already in good shape - it simply needed the usual clean-up, additional mulch and a sprinkler leak fixed. Working through the inaccurate billing with them took 5 months. If you have the time and money to waste fighting their invoicing on any services, flawed logic, and lack of evidence of work performed, good luck to you. Be especially aware of the "soil prep" solution and all labor charges. These are the areas where they get you. The recurring lawn moving service was good.

They do an "okay" job. We did every other week and they charged us more because it would take longer. There is one speed on the commercial mowers and there were a lot of areas un-cut. They bag but go so fast, it's more of a mulch job. Also, I feel like they could use a bigger blower to make the area cleaner. MOST IMPORTANT - be advised that they record every phone call. We sold/moved from the home and received a bill for the month - when I called to inquire why, the lady said she would have to review ALL our PHONE CONVERSATIONS. I don't know that this is legal, but I know I was never told I was being recorded. Kinda sketchy... So, if you use them, watch what you say on the phone!!

I have been using their lawn mowing service for 15 years and they are great.
Reasonably priced, always within and hour of their regular time and day. Very fast and they leave the lawn looking great! I would highly recommend their service.

Rasmussen Landscapes did a wonderful job. Reasonable rates and always on time. We would definitely recommend their services.

Hired Rasmussen to aeriate our lawn. You should see plugs all over, even after a few days, this wasn't the case. The lawn was spotty with tiny plugs, and I raked a few areas, and there aren't any excess plugs. Our hill isn't even aeriated. They may have some less than 20 feet of actual aeriating.

I do not recommend their service
Gave us bad advice on 5 trees that were very expensive. Three of the 5 are dying the other 2 are not growing
No response when I called them.

Rasmussen really cares for my yard just as if it were their own!

We cancelled their services in the fall. They showed up unannounced and mowed our lawn the following spring. We did not ask for them to mow our lawn. We have spoken to 4-5 representatives over the past year in an effort to have the service charge waived. Nearly 18 months later we received a collections notice for $75. Absolute scammers! I think I ll walk around the neighborhood washing people s cars and then send them to collections when they don t pay me. Losers.

My wife asked Rasmussen to provide lawn cutting services back in late 2016, they never showed up so we hired some one else. We figured if they couldn't show up for the first cut that it was a big red flag. Fast forward 4 years and there is a collection agent looking for money on their behalf. I'm not sure why? We never received service or even an invoice. This is no way to too business.

Edit: Since the owner has responded. I did contact the Rasmussen office directly by phone to give them a chance to explain themselves before I wrote this review. Their response was that the billing occurred in an older billing system and they no longer had access to the account and that I should deal with the collection agency directly.

Loved their work. They did a complete overhaul on my yard and it looks amazing. They put in the greenest grass I have ever seen. The worked for 3 weeks straight and transformed my yard into a dream land. We were trying to prepare for a party and didn't have much time. They got it done just in time!

They have come on time and have been very good to get the job done quickly and without any bother. I have been very happy to have them cut my lawn and help me keep my property looking nicer.
I would like more help but my budget it tight. Thank you for the help I have recieved.

Rasmussen bought our lawn service care from our very good lancare giver (had him for 9 yrs). All last year Rasmussen mowed our .4 acre. Every week last year, broken sprinkler heads which they hit. Never telling us only to find them when our system turned on. Talked to the crew next week, none spoke English so hard to communicate with them and told them that they had broken sprinklers. He dialed another on his cell that understood english...poor service. That brings us to this year. I never heard from as spring approached. My lawn was aerated WITHOUT notice and permission. We were looking at replacing them because of lousy service. They showed up while we were out of town mowed 2 times with out our petmission. I recieved a letter in the mail a week after the 2 mowings telling me that the lawn service was increased from 50.00 a mowing to 105.00.....WOW. ....I called them up and fired them.
We had 3 families on our street that couldnt believe the lack of communication and the doubling of weekly service. We all 3 fired them. BEWARE!!
I will be surprised if they post this. With not having a signed contract for 2019, im under no obligation to pay for those 3 unauthorised service.

Rasmussen Landscapes is the worst lawn care company I have had the opportunity to deal with. If you're looking for a company with deceptive practices that doesn't own up to customer responsibility then Rasmussen is for you. I recently hired Rasmussen after they peppered my neighborhood with flyers 3 or 4 times. Their weekly lawn crew seemed reasonable but watch out for their additional services! If you ask for work to be done, be prepared for the crew to not discuss the scope of work or give you any recommendations for the fix. Rather, the crew will show up and do whatever work they feel like without you having any idea what's going on. I received a bill in the mail for $800.00 to correct a "few brown spots" that the sprinkler system was not covering. Representatives from Rasmussen did not seem to understand the reasons why this was unacceptable, and responded to my concerns by hiding behind their service agreements. I cancelled my service today and the rep seemed more than happy to discontinue the weekly work - it almost seems like they're used to this kind of reaction. Save yourself the frustration and money - DON'T hire them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY..Save yourself time and frustration by choosing someone else for yard care. We were having a problem with our sprinklers and were promised a repair guy on Wednesday. This was the fastest anyone could come out so we booked the appointment. No call, no show, when I called they promised Thursday or Friday at the latest. Again, no call, no show. My husband called on Friday and we were assured they would definitely be there Saturday. Bet you can guess what happened Saturday.. Yep, shockingly another no call, no show.

Good work, but they charge $42 per hour PER PERSON? They pay their workers $8 per hour, so that means they pocket $70,000 per year for each full time employee. Our bill for two visits was over $1,200 for WEEDING, that's absurd!

Absolutely ridiculous. Total crooks. Got billed for 12 hours of work by a 5 man crew to clean out 3 small flower beds!!! Absolutely go somewhere else, they ll just drag their feet and want to take your money. I actually tried clearing this up with them and they wouldn t binge. Completely lame and unprofessional business!

They do an quick and efficient job mowing my lawn. I love that it includes mowing up the leaves through out the fall. Everything looks great after they leave.

This used to be a great company to deal with until they decided to use deception and trickery to bill you for whatever you feel like. I have gone from owning them $800 for last years service to $2000 for last years service. Absolutely disgusting!

Absolutely awful experience with this company. Find someone else to use. Their customer service people are the only saving grace and were very nice but otherwise my experience dealing with company was a nightmare and took WAY too much time to correct a wrong bill. We're talking months and many many phone calls...

Rasmussen Landscapes has taken care of my yard for 8 years. They are dependable, efficient, and professional. I wouldn t use anyone else.
