Stunning venue staffed by very friendly and happy people. Like an extended family really. The food, surroundings and service were excellent and the humorous interaction with the staff a pleasure. Beautifully and sumptuously furnished. Perfect for an Aussie bottom.

Very over-priced, aims to be upmarket but comes across as quite tacky. Some incredibly noisy rooms, especially as it churns out the weddings. Breakfast sub-standard. Saved by nice staff, a decent spa and a couple of reasonably good golf courses.

Amazing venue. Worth every penny. Went for a spa day and the asian afternoon tea. Very relaxing, not overcrowded and plenty of areas to explore. Everyone was very professional and my only gripe was my creme brulee had split and was a bit eggy. However the savoury portion of my afternoon tea more than made up for it.

Extremely disappointed with the service in the Rib Room and the bars, and a very poor atmosphere given the price of a room, drinks and food. Three stars only for the quality of the room which was admittedly lovely.

I went to an event dinner here, and the food was very mediocre. The meat was poorly cooked (I had the same meal, beef feather blade, at the garden House Inn, earlier in the day - it was far superior), the vegetables were served raw to the point that neither my fork nor knife could penetrate it, resulting in my chasing half a carrot around my plate.

We have been to ramside hall before and really enjoyed our experience. However, after visiting last night we won t be attending again. We were not made aware on arrival on the changes with the spa. Checked in at 3 and we were not informed that after 3 we have to make a booking for the spa meaning we only got an hour in the spa for our night. We pay money for a spa trip so to only get an hour was a joke and not to be told about this. We were then informed no alcoholic drinks were allowed in the spa which was once allowed. When you work Monday- Friday, a drink is what you would like at the weekend but this was not allowed anymore which also ruined our experience. The staff were rude and weren t interested at all and all we got back was you should have read the changes on your confirmation . Ramside has gone from my favourite spa to never wanting to return again. Definitely gone down hill.

I attended a networking event here! The room we were in was perfect for the event! The atomsphere of the whole place is calm and relaxing! I have heard good things about the services they offer from golfing to the spa and of course their food! Hoping to come back for personal leisure as well as business

We had our wedding back in August 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the staff at Ramside Hall Hotel were so accommodating and patient with all of the constant guidance changes. When we originally booked our venue at the Ramside (before we had any idea of what 2020 would hold!) the staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of face-to-face planning time. We even received a free family afternoon tea from one of the events team. The communication was great. When the news of the pandemic came out, the staff gave no false promises and were honest about what they could/could not do from day 1. When we eventually realised that our wedding would be massively impacted by the restrictions, the staff at Ramside Hall did everything they could to help us and were very understanding, lenient, and patient. We were given free use of the infinity pool with a free bottle of Champagne too, to make the difficult circumstances a bit brighter. We want to personally thank the manager Tim and all of the events team for helping us to achieve a fantastic day, for allowing us to take photos on site, for greeting us with a drink at the door and for our lovely two night stay at the hotel. We are thoroughly looking forward to being there once again for our post-COVID wedding celebration in the marquee. Would 100% recommend this place in the middle of a pandemic, so I'd 110% recommend it for a wedding under 'normal' circumstances.

Excellent carvery with a good choice of alternatives if you don't want traditional Sunday lunch. It is very serve yourself though so expect to get your own cutlery, condiments etc too. Quality of the food is worth it though. Only downside is drink prices but it is a hotel. All in all highly recommended.

We went to the Ramside Hall Hotel yesterday to meet some friends and enjoy a meal at the carvery. We found the staff very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and we were able to enjoy catching up both inside in the carvery and outside on the terrace. The food was good with plenty of choice considering that the restaurant was open all afternoon and was not very busy. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Ramside Hall is improving but it's not one of the better hotels in the region yet. The hotel itself is largely in good condition and the decor is modern. However, other hotels that charge similar room prices and offer good quality spa breaks take fewer chances to make an extra buck out of their guests. The breakfast buffet is in the carvery which is frankly like a poor quality pub. The staff in that part of the hotel are disorganised and poorly trained. Other restaurants in the hotel are much better. The spa is enjoyable but it was very busy, they're definitely not going to limit the numbers to improve the experience. It's clearly a business focussed on money not quality. The staff were mediocre and the receptionist was frankly rude to us. When we mentioned this in other parts of the hotel the staff weren't surprised at all. It seems spa staff might have forgotten they're there for customer service.

Facilities are great here, including the spa and several bars. But, there are significant issues. It is, without exception, the hottest Hotel I've ever been in. For some reason, the heating was always on, and at times it was very uncomfortable. The service was also very slow, generally. Golf courses were nice though.
