Very nice hotel, friendly staff, fantastic spa facilities, and the Fusion restaurant is a pleasure to eat in.

Helpful staff, aesthetically pleasing and good catering

My mam and auntie had a fabulous spa day spoilt by the head waiter in the restaurant being very unhelpful. He told my auntie, who has special dietary requirements due to health that if it was up to him she would not receive them, even though she had pre-ordered. However, the rest of the staff in the restaurant where very helpful.

we were in a ground floor room near reception wasn't noisey, pool was busy but fine, we ate in rib room which was lovely staff were lovely couldn't fault it

Visited the ballroom for an event... Beautiful and spacious. Refreshments tasty too

Only a one night stay but everything was perfect. The room, the staff and the food. A big thanks to the duty manager for the Champagne too.

Carvery great value for money, hotel gorgeous. Attended an interview and had dinner so wasn't able to use any other facilities.

Can't believe the elegant of this place,the surrounding are excellent and the amenities are great,Steam rooms Saurnas Great,food excellent and most restaurants affordable, Staff so accommodating Cannot believe how great their Customer Services is the Best.What can I say

I was there for a corporate event and found the hotel to be excellent. Rooms were tidy and staff were attentive and professional.

Staff were very good and the establishment was second to none..so picturesque was bowled over by the little birthday cake I got when visited the rib room for my evening meal..would highly recommend this once in a while experience

Went for Christmas lunch with work colleagues, very nice carvery and sweet selection. Helpful staff. Poor at clearing dishes away when finished. Christmas tree is a sight to behold.

It was so tranquil had a lovely peaceful atmosphere and the massage was amazing

Went for a set meal with a dance afterwards. The room and seating was lovely, food a bit disappointing and drinks promptly served. Good value for money paid

Ramside Hall is a touch of class. Good value for money. I went to support a cancer charity which is having a Sporting Night with Kevin Keegan on 15th June 7pm for champagne reception.

Great venue and the food was fab. Drinks are not cheap but very enjoyable evening!

All show, no go. Cold beans for breakfast anyone? This place looks fabulous and the staff are lovely, but it fails to deliver in the detail.

No wifi fone wasnt working to contact reception ,bearing in mind we where there for 3 days and reception said they would send someone to look at it still waiting .
My wife ordered a vegetarian breakfast received full english.couldnt call family from inside as no
wifi so went outside and cigarette butts all over patio area.
Maids weren't aloud in rooms to replenish toiletries or clean but where aloud to bring breakfast in your room ,where is the logic in that on.
Hence the 2star rating .

Overpriced clubhouse and the cathedral course is poor

Food was lovely when it arrived but unfortunately not very warm, after 40+ minute wait we were reluctant to send it back. Customer service very pleasant but disorganised, served toast and pot of tea then ten minute wait for cups and plates, requested hot toast, which then arrived without butter/jam so further wait. Loverly decor and ambience but disappointing experience for a birthday breakfast.

Everything was spectacular. Thank you for an amazing weekend. Sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, private infinity pool. And the chef at the restaurant tops everything up a notch with beautiful, tasty, authentic Asian food. Couldn't be happier.

Played golf on the older of the golf courses challenging but fair. Plenty of varied bird life to look at in the event of not playing very well

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Room was large and spotless. Beautiful bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. Tea/coffee making facilities, smart TV.
Spa was wonderful. Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and pool. Totally recharged our batteries.
Staff were all welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.
Meal in the rib room was out of this world. Beef Wellington was amazing, staff were very welcoming and attentive.
Perfect place to stay.

The Spa was fantastic, up there with the best of them ,the food was brilliant in both the fusion and rib room restaurants,the breakfast was 10 out of 10 , also a great selection of drinks .Ramside would be getting 5 stars if not for the noisy room we were in situated in on the main corridor and also the room adjoining we could hear everything,not a great nights sleep .
Would recommend this hotel but request a room on the first floor .

Absolutely beautiful...had a great overnight stay in a premier room with spa included. We dined in the fusion restaurant and wow the tai food is amazing. Spa area is lovely and clean. The girls who done our treaments were really lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would defo recommend to anyone wanting a chilled day or night..we left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated ready to face the 3 kids at home ..will no doubt be needing another spa day/night after this half term ...will be booking again soon. Whoever is looking into booking this place will not be dissapointed. 10/10

Went for afternoon tea which was very nice as we had the place to ourselves and two lovely seats in front of the fire. Would definitely return in the future.

Parts of our stay was great, such as the room, spa treatments, food and service within the fusion restaurant. Other parts were poor, such as the overcrowded spa facilities. Liked our stay, but think we will choose somewhere else such as Rockcliffe or Seaham Hall next time.

me and my dad were up in sunderland after coming from london to watch the mighty chelsea play, and we thought why not make a nice couple days out of it. We watched the game, stayed overnight and then played golf here the next day. I thought the place was beautiful and it had a really nice spa and clubhouse with really good facilities, including a few big practice putting greens, a gorgeous driving range and a really nice short game area. we played our round on the cathedral course and it was in superb condition for winter time, the course was very nice.

the reason why i have not given it 5 stars was because it was our first time playing there so we didn't know where we were going and there were no sign posts saying where the next tee was so it felt like a maze to us, however it was a really nice place with a friendly athmosphere so i reccomend that you come down and play there if you can!

Fantastic spa facilities and treatments. The restaurant is excellent and the staff are very helpful.

Overall it was really nice. Clean and tidy. Staff were so nice as you would expect.

Brilliant new Spa and restaurant. Just been in for the carvery today. Unfortunately I have to say that although I have been here on numerous occasions to have a carvery , today was by far the worst I have had in the last few years!!. Carrots and cauliflower was rock hard and couldn't be eaten. The rest of the meal was cold and very disappointing. Unfortunately I paid before as is the system here ie Wouldn't have paid. It was mentioned to a staff member/waitress who said she would mention it to the manager or whoever. No one came to offer their apologies or to ask further for details of our complaint. Needless to say I won't be back for a long time. Very poor customer service and food.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by our first stay at Ramside. We had a room in the old side (requested one in the new if possible) which was small and very dated, and surely should be at a cheaper rate than those in the new in More

It had some stunning grounds as well as extremely well presented rooms.

Had a very chilled night with a meal and stopover then a very relaxing massage ,nice staff nice place

Quality & Choice of food was poor for the reputation of Ramside Hall. Very little choice for dessert and empty shelfs. Probably won't be going back to the restaurant anytime soon.

Just had fish and chips in the cavery. The chips were good but the fish was rock hard.

Great Spa but make sure you secure your valuables as my locker was broken into and all cards and money stolen.

Went for lunch at Ramside Pemberton Carvery for a work related event. Great carvery and deserts. Good range of veg and salad to go with various mains choices. Previously visited spa which is great and the Thai fusion restaurant us fab.

I expected more expense but was surprised when we got the bill. Fantastic afternoon tea. The lounge is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are lovely.
