Ramada Caravela Beach Resort, Goa Reviews

We were very happy to spend a couple of days at Caravela Resort near Varca during Diwali. It is a five star resort on a beautiful property with a golf course and a lovely clean private beach. Also the cleanliness and sanitisation were more than satisfactory. The staff was very helpful and polite.
Good food and entertainment was provided for the guests at night and breakfast had a good spread... although the other meals were a little expensive.
Everything else was good and we had a wonderful time.

It's a nice resort and has good amenities. It has also a beach area with shacks. Over all I found it very pleasant except one thing that their food menu didn't have wider verities of sea food. Overall it is good.

High arches, and ceilings, reeking of an old world charm, and a quiet, and exquisite, private beach, make this resort among the most popular in South Goa.
The resort has private villas, as well as regular rooms to offer, with stunning views of the sea, and the sprawling golf grounds.
There are multiple restaurants, including a beachside bar within the property.
The food, and service, are excellent, too, with a vast buffet breakfast to start the day.
For the ones looking for a quiet, yet busy, holiday, the resort has multiple activities to offer, which will keep the guests busy all day, such as yoga, pottery, painting, and other such activities for children.
The in-house party over the weekend is worth attending.
And just outside the resort's premises, one can rent a scooty/bike, and ride through some scenic Goan roads, to some of the best restaurants in town, like Martin's Corner, or Fisherman's Wharf.

My thumbs-up for the property. We came here on a official trip which was fantastic. The property is lush green with a nice & clean private beach.
Swimming pool is safe and nice for kids. It's a perfect for family resort with competitive cost.

My only concern :-

1) bad mobile network and no free wifi.
2) I found the breakfast very repetitive & placement of most of the things where also the same

Other then that it's a highly recommended property.

Excellent hotel, great buffet option, far from sout

A very good place to relax. Swimming pool, and a great beach. Golf course in the season. Good food. In one word great!

My 2nd trip and it's more than awesome....great place to live....the swimming pools awesome....however avoid swimming in the beach due to jellyfish in the water ....the star fish on the contrary look beautiful in the awesome seashore by the sunset

Ours was a package tour of 11 people from 25 to 29 july resort stay was excellent staff very good especially at buffet they provided us every thing we needed minus points are sight seeing was a very bad experience driver was very rude he stopped the bus where he had commission we really suffered our day was wasted 2 point taxi from hotel is very costly 3 places to visit are far away

Sea side restaurant that is a part of resort is a nice place to spend. but offers few options only. The only let down is getting out of south Goa. The local taxi guys charge exuberant amount. Also the resort caters for only high end customers. The in room dining menu is good but too expensive. Like a tandoori roti is around 150 bucks. Thanks to few shacks by beach side where u cam enjoy a nice beer and good sea food.

Very good resort. Huge property with a big golf course. Very good private beach. Food lay out is good and quality is also good. Service is very friendly. Loved my stay at this resort

5 star hotel with 5 star Natural Ambience.Locates near by sea beach with a 9 hole golf course. Nice reception hall and swimming pool with good ambience all around.

Superbly located .. long beach .. long lobby .. long swimming pool, long garden, expert Ayurveda and greenery around .. nicely maintained ..
We enjoyed our luxury time at Caravela..
But it might slightly upset you on food test .. if your coming first time in Goa, it's weather and food might affect you for sustainance

Perhaps we chose the wrong time for our holiday. It was extremely crowded. One needs a little privacy while holidaying. Food, accommodation, pool, beach, facilities, etc. are great.

Visited this place for a marriage ceremony. Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in this lovely resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
The staff at this resort are all genuinely friendly, polite and helpful and there was a relaxing atmosphere in the entire resort area, even when upgradation was in progress.
I would class this resort as well run with as many facilities as any 5 Star resorts we have been to. The entire resort was exceptionally well run. Our rooms were cleaned every day, more if requested, and linen and towels also changed each day with complementary towel decoration and flowers placed out on your room table each morning.The rooms are large, modern and in perfect order. The lights and air conditioning were all in perfect order unlike some resorts we have previously stayed at. The bathrooms were again excellent and had a separate bath and large shower.
Our room balcony overlooked the beautiful gardens watching the sun set most evenings, This was a picture perfect view.The staff were faultless, friendly and provided a very professional service. This was from the bar service to front lobby. There was a genuine will to please. The resort is set on the varca coast and it is set on a private beach this can only be accessed through the resort and the resort staff regularly clean and sweep the beach sand.
The pool is large with a separate children s pool attached and then a further small infants paddling pool. There are sun lounger s all around the pool so it will never be a difficulty keeping to keep an eye on the children.
The resort had a number of restaurants. At breakfast there was a good choice of food.
Dinner time In the evening was magical, with Joseph and Marcelino taking care of all guests and the theme evenings were all run excellently with waiter drinks service and live entertainment ranging from authentic Indian as well as western music. There was also an excellent room service that ran 24 hrs a day. In general I would class the quality of the food at Caravela as excellent. The food is all fresh with a huge selection of; poultry, mutton, sea foods and vegetables to choose from. The drinks were all international brand and ice cold. we did not have a single bad meal or dish. The resort also had a good air-conditioned gym with fitness instructor, hair salons etc.

Ocean View room is really beautiful. Room service and food was a class apart. I stayed for 3 days and it was really a memorable stay. A must if you are planning to visit South Goa.

It's the old Ramada resort. Quite a nice place. Beautiful lawns. There is a golf course where beginners can learn from a trainer

Very beautiful property. Love their breakfast but nit so much of the dinner. Very clean beach. Only problem they have is that no local taxi s are allowed near the resort due to unions unity there. So disappointing on that side. But apart from that it was a great experience there.

Great resort with very friendly staff and great amenities

Wow one of the most serene beach resort one can come across in South Goa. Good 30-35 kM from the Goa airport. But you can feel home away from home. Very beautiful resorts, courtesy staff, clean beaches one can come across, stumpentous food choices. Plenty to choose from activities and added to that is the pool . Rooms are also very ambient and accomodating. Go for it, and feel the experience

Great resort for families, with a private clean white sand beach. maintained by the hotel. great pool. clean rooms, good hospitality.

The resort has excellent service and has its private beach which is very clean and well maintained. Other than that, all expected services from a 5 star hitels are provided

Located bang on the beach with courteous staff. The food was too good. There was a group from Nissan at the same time which was very noisy and killed the experience for us. Despite requests they played the loudspeaker till late at night.Otherwise the rooms were perfect, food delish and service impeccable.

the service in hotel is not as expected from a five star hotel. bathroom have broken glass. a normal bottle of water is chargeable.

Superb hotel for kids and for business. Many activities for kids. They have many banquets too. Beach accessible from the hotel.

This resort is value for money! Its located near the white sand Fatrade beach with its own private access to it. Their pool is enormous with a bar counter in the middle of it! The rooms are spacious and offer prompt room service. The negative I felt is that their check-in and checkout process is slow.

The money you spent is for the location itself. Rest all are just add-in. Must visit. Service is below par at times.

Worst experience after spent a big amount on resort...bad rooms conditions and bad services.

The resort is awesome. Staff is friendly and always cooperative, food is good.

Loved it very nice resort. Huge hall for dining. Large room size, room service is excellent. There is a beach adjacent to resort. Golf and table tennis is available anytime and the best thing is swimming pool I loved it and that's not enough... There is a disco in the resort as well.. very good for family and friends...
