Might as well pay to sit outside (in spring or summer) 100usd minimum which means 4 cocktails and you get to sit for a long time compared with 60usd for two people to simply visit the top viewing deck. (with no drinks)

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. The drinks were the worst cocktails I have had in my entire life. Don t know if they have an beer, because I don t drink beer, but if I were to go again (for the awesome views), I d definitely ask for a beer because the cocktails are undrinkable.

Fantastic view and the decor in the restaurant/bar is brilliant. I had the cured and dried meats platter which was delicious but the service from our waitress was non-existent and spent most of her time serving a table which looked like they were spending a lot of money. Only spoke to her twice, once to order and another for the bill.

Been going here for special events for decades. Now, only for their brunch that used to be spectacular. The view is still terrific, but the quality of the brunch has gone downhill while the price keeps going up. Many on the staff have been there for years and are great people. Hope they don't lose out while management screws up.

Tonight I was with my three daughters on the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Center. We had reserved a table in the rainbowroom months ago.
According to the images on the Internet, the rooms should be as beautiful as I remembered them.
I was here with my husband many years ago and we had an unforgettable and beautiful evening.
Completely different was our present experience.
Already in the elevator, I realized that nobody was dressed as elegantly as we were. I thought naively that these people are going to any viewing platform and their visit has nothing to do with the restaurant.
We expected a large room, which was mostly furnished as a bar. Many people stood around. It was extremely loud through so-called music.
A small part of the room was used as a restaurant. There we were assigned a table.
After complaining about the small table, we were seated at a larger table.
Unfortunately we could hardly talk because the noise level was so high. The staff was hard to understand.
The acoustics were about the same level as the station, just awful and unacceptable.
The light at the table was so bad that we had to light ourselves with a small flashlight to read the menu.

The food itself was of a very mediocre quality.
The whole evening was a total failure and we were extremely disappointed.
Certainly, problems do not melt like lime candies, as it was advertised years ago by a restaurant that was so wonderful at the time.
It's completely incomprehensible to me why people are so foolish and show false pictures on the internet.
Too bad, but me and my family will never see anyone here again and in my circle of acquaintances, I will report from this experience.

Instead of paying 38 dol to climb to the top of the rock. Go have a drink at the rainbow late at night. Magnificent view Excellent attention And if you don't want to drink anything. Enjoy the view, take a picture and go down.

Again, it all comes down to atmosphere, service, food. Atmosphere was great, views were amazing. Service was fine, nothing special. Food...we only ordered beverages, and a seafood tower ($90). The seafood tower was just ok. Order something else. Teetering between a 2 and a 3 star.

You're smarter to book a reservation at Bar 65 and pay 20.00 for a drink to get the same view as one floor up for the observation deck which costs more and no fancy drink. And they have an outside area just the same as the observation deck. #NYCmart

Jaw dropping views of the city we all love, can just go right to the classy and modern bar and have a standing drink and soak in the sights or you can reserve a seated table in the comfy leather booths for small groups and couple and have food and drinks while watching New York City from high above. My party of 3 went here to warm up after strolling through Rockefeller Center.

The place is beautiful with some amazing views of the city. I was in fact expecting a better quality on food.
I was really disappointed by Cacio e Pepe which is definitely not what it should be called. Fries were good, quinoa sliders were
ok.
Overall good experience.
I would suggest to make a reservation.

Beautiful place & building. A bit challenging to find the way up (& why not open every night?). Once up there, so worth the free viewing deck - wow. Got to go experience when in New York City! Pricey drinks etc., but hey it's NYC.

Flashy bar on the 65th floor that does not really know how to mix a Gin & Tonic properly. It should be a criminal offense to inject a tonic from a "soda gun". The last star applies to the view ...

Come for the view. The food and some of the service is really terrible. If the weather is great, request the main Rainbow Room or they may try to stick you in the Tiki room where the pricing and menu are identical but the ambiance pales in comparison. I had two major blunders with the hosts of both rooms. Both issues were deliberate and they behaved like they couldn t care less.

My wife and I had Sunday Brunch here, and walked away somewhat disappointed. Our friend works in the kitchen, and it is our tradition to have a meal at every one of his restaurants, or to treat him to places he aspires to work. Usually, we have a very pleasant experience. However, at the Rainbow Room, we were unfortunately underwhelmed.

The pricing at the Rainbow Room seems very good on paper. $125 per head, not including drinks, tax, or gratuity. The menu is all-you-can-eat, with a bevy of buffet and a-la-carte options. However, we found ourselves disappointed.

First, the positives, as there were a few. The views from the reception area where you wait before your table is ready are extraordinary. You get breathtaking southern views of Manhattan, with the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and Freedom Tower all on full display, as well as the Statue of Liberty, downtown Brooklyn, and the Verazano Bridge. If you have the fortune of getting an "outside" (meaning close to a window) table, you get to enjoy a great look at the city. We were not lucky enough to be near a window.

Second, the bacon bar is amazing. Slow-cooked pork belly, smoked turkey, a lightly candied bacon, and a great cut of Canadian bacon were all delicious and available in heaps. Unfortunately, the one server gets a bit overwhelmed by everybody swarming him.

Sadly, it all went downhill from there. The juice bar was good, though the "fresh squeezed" orange and grapefruit juices tasted suspiciously like Tropicana or Simply Orange juices. Still refreshing, but you can taste "fresh squeezed" and this was either packaged juice that was rebranded, or had been squeezed a few days ago and preserved.

We ended our visit on a low note. The cheesecake we had for our small dessert was some of the worst we had ever eaten. It was flavorless, with a bitter aftertaste that was very unpleasant. It placed a damper on the meal, as the bitter aftertaste was cloying and hard to get out of our mouths.

The final reason for the 2 stars though is the poor value. We have no qualms about spending on food, but taken as a whole, the Rainbow Room was bad value. For $125 per person, the food was mediocre and the experience forgettable. The restaurant felt like a white-collar tourist trap, where we were paying the mark-up just to be there.

All things included, we paid $350 for brunch; that amount of money, even in the NYC fine dining scene, goes a long way at some other top-caliber restaurants. Unless you really, really have to go to this restaurant, pay $80 to go to the top of the Freedom Tower with the luxury passes, then go out for a great lunch nearby. It'll be the better experience.

I'm toadly in love with their service but for food and it's excusable because omo naija I be. "Oyinbo no get food ooh"
It was bae's birthday so I made reservation for 2 within 48hrs.got a late evening reservation tho. Their response time is commendable and I was wowed when all of their staff right from the red carpet to the bar wished him a happy birthday. We also got champagne on the house...I guess it was our lucky day!

What an absolutely amazing venue. The views are just breathtaking inside and out. The Art Deco decor is stunning an inline with the rest of the building but refined, polished, and accented to give off a very modern look

A must see attraction even if you go for one cocktail. The view is breathtaking.
For walk ins you can enjoy standing room only but they offer small pub tables. Reservations required weeks ahead of time.
Located in the NBC building in Manhattan.

What can be said about this place was it expensive not really the views were worth the price of our dinner alone if there were a moan its that while your dining the middle is for people to just have a drink but they keep coming over to the windows for photo shoots think that should be stopped and for diners only that said the view should and could be shared better if they had a time for this that may already be in place but service great and food also thanks for the time and experience

Great views and good service. Drinks cost as much as you'd expect on the 65th floor, about $20 for a cocktail but it's worth it for the view. We enjoyed a couple of rounds and a charcuterie board bith were good.
Book ahead to ensure you get a table.

WOW what an amazing space - the views are superb and the food was really really nice. The staff are very tentative and helpful and it had a nice vibe (We went on a Sunday (late afternoon / early evening meal). It can however get very loud as you are sitting in quite close proximity to the table next to you, so take note. Its a must to book in advance as tables get booked up very quickly.

Exceptional customer service from Hunter (excuse me if I remember the name wrong). He arranged to give us a private tour in the rainbow room as we explained to him that we went there for one night only from Europe just to visit the room. Brilliant young men.

This is a much better way to visit an elevated view of the city than paying the absurd $30+ dollars for the top of the rock observation deck. Being 65 floors up and paying $9, you can get a nice cider and sit down in a fancy restaurant while enjoying the incredible views of the city. In good weather, the outdoor deck is open to eat on ($65 minimum) and walk outside once you get a drink. You can also grab some food and more expensive drinks, but I go up there to buy an inexpensive drink with great views. Try to make reservations before going up as it can get packed in there. Reservations also allow you to get a seat while if you walk up, you will have to stand without views as good.
