Nothing more than an excuse for the management in this place to use state and city funds for their salaries. No one in this place knows what they are doing.
You are much, much better off going to The Center in Manhattan, in the Village.
Rainbow Heights is amateurish and poorly managed.
Place a A- I love the staff not too bad of a place! I love the peers! Just the start of new beginnings
I am a former worker at Rainbow and if I could still work there now I would. It is an incredible place. Members are loved and supported every day and it truly feels like a family. Generally those who are happy with an experience tend not to write as many reviews as those who are unhappy so I would urge members whose lives have been changed by the program to add your voices!
Well i WAS a member for many years. At first, you are welcomed with open arms. Then after awhile, SNAP!!! Some staff have a bug up their asses. Some are nice. It feels like the interns there are nicer bc they leave after they did hours. Anyone looking for an LGBTQIA community STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could give you better options. Remember this, just because its a community that has mental health. It doesnt mean they are equipped to work with them.
I joined this club and went to the first meeting and I said that I identify as a furry and they didnt support me. They are not very supporting becuase i am furry.
I just heard about this wonderful place call Rainbow Heights club at a presentation that the Director Randy Killings did. I was so impressed when I heard of all the great work Rainbow heights Club is doing and blown away with Randy amazing story of recovery. I feel the training gave me a better understanding of how important it is to be able to provide support and service to everyone. GRATEFUL
The club is an amazing experience. The staff are very, very supportive. And the food is amazing!!!
This is the most amazing and supporting place for LGBT people.
I was surprised to discover the very immediate and abrupt firing of former director Rebecca Hauptman, which occurred shortly after her ruling that my own club membership would be immediately and irrebocably terminated as well I requested Rainbow Heights specific charges against me, a list of speciific member rules and regulations claimed to have been broken and evidence that irreputably proved those claims were demonstrably true. Instead -- in a procedure that was entirely complered in a few hours time -- i received nothing more than verbal accusations that met no standard of judicial requirements , supported by undocumented staff claims that barely rose to the level of hearsay, and the denial of my request to provide material that would immediately and unrevocablely demonstrate the false, contrived nature of their case., which swiftly arrived at the immediately and irrevocable termination of my membership. Security immediately escorted out of the building. When I requested the means by which I could appeal this decision, I was held close to a corridor wall as Christian smiled and offered a paragraph length summaryof the appeals procedure, and pleasantly assured me that he -- who allowed and promoted and supervised Rebecca's prosecution and judgment, would providea fair and appropriate appeals process and judgment. As I left this safe space that made such eloquent and self-congradulatory guarantee of restoring and protecting its marginalized, unprotected and powerless clientele, I have never felt the hopeless depravity of these.mental burdens more. My rainbow will no doubt reach its height again. I respectfully request that light be shed on each everyone of us involved in this swift descent into the muddy pool. at the end of this bow, and find where true, clear and sparkling justice will soar forward. Thank you. May I request that myself and my representative be properly informed of our next steps
My sister nailed it perfectly. This club is managed very poorly. The staff cares about themselves instead of clients. They practically let it run like a circus. They lie constantly. I dont know why i didnt leave sooner. Its all about dollar signs. The newsletter you get mailed to you is stuffed by the client and they get one dollar. There is so many things wrong with this place.
I've been a member for 12 years. Recently I returned after 2 not coming. Since my return the service and needs are being met very well.due to our present new director and staff.
