Radisson SAS Hotel Nydalen Review

A little welcoming employee at the front desk who almost accused me of lying at check-in. Partly worn room. Slightly disappointing selection at breakfast.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable and the attention of all the staff is excellent.

Cozy hotel in quiet surroundings, and especially cozy if you get a room facing the Akerselva. Reduced capacity in these difficult times. But we did not notice much. I experienced that the infection control measures worked well.

Nice hotel with swanky common areas but the rooms are a bit dated...

Great service from the desk and the breakfast buffet staff. Quiet rooms, not too far from the center.

The rooms were pretty good but the bathroom didn't really give the same high-quality impression as the rest of the hotel. The shower only had a simple shower curtain so it got pretty wet on the floor in large parts of the bathroom and around the toilet after having showered.

The room lighting was also quite poor in the evening when it is dark outside. There were only bedside lamps, a desk lamp and a floor lamp so hard to get the light in the room if you wanted to work for a while in the evening in a well-lit room.

One slight disappointment was that all towels were exchanged even though I hung them up after I used them and that the hotel urged one to save on the environment and do just that.

But despite this it is a good hotel and I will probably stay here again on future visits to Nydalen.

Modern, stylish interior. Solid, good beds. Good breakfast.

Great breakfast, very convenient location (15 minutes drive to Oslo Central Station, 1 minutes metro walk), taxis are always available nearby, spacious rooms and rich set of ammendities. Definitely recommend.

Always nice in Nydalen. Top hotel in a central location in Nydalen. A bit expensive with parking, but it applies to the whole of central Oslo anyway.

I have to say that as my generation, I expect more out of 2300 kroner. Instead, book into a nice AirBnB for half the price.

The hotel is right on the subway and the typical hotel amenities are good. But from here it's just downhill.

We relaxed at the bar first. There they were empty for the Brooklyn Lager draft, so I got an Oslo pilsner that was maybe a little empty of carbonic acid. It is good to note that the lady at the bar needed training in everything that had to do with the bar. Newspapers, for today or last week, were not available when we asked.

In the room, the TV control did not work, so I replaced it. I see it is possible to connect to the phone, but YouTube would not work.

Ordered and burger. It came up 25 minutes later and that was the best thing about it. It is therefore more cold than lukewarm, as is the accessory. Think this has not even been under the heat lamp, maybe a refrigerator and then a trip in the microwave. This cost then 284, -, they also want tips.

So now I eat cold burger and enjoy entertainment on the 14-inch laptop.

Decently clean and spacious room with a fair price tag. Average (quite good, but not outstanding) breakfast. Main reason for not 5 stars is the lack of effective air condition in room. "Was not possible" is not good enough when it's close to 30 degrees C. Every other place in hotel (hallway, lounge) was much cooler, but not our room. I presume Manchester United' team, who stayed here at the same time, had air condition in their rooms..

On outskirt of Oslo but with metro access. Hotel located outside metro so convenient. Hotel welcoming, rooms comfy and a nice breakfast.

Shortly before arrival not available by phone, parking catastrophic, bad signposted, completely broken extra bed in the room. Not recommendable.

Old furniture, smells old. But super modern entrance

Nice room, BUT very dirty in places that are not easily visible. On my first night, I found a panty that did not belong to me, that has been there since the previous guest. Finds ancient candy and food all around. Poor hygienic. Dusty. Not to mention the shower, the rails were not adjustable so when I rinsed the shampoo there was freezing water after only 2-3 minutes.

Only been here for business. Plus, the office was close by. The area is a little further boring. Few restaurants in the immediate area. Well metro nearby (across street) Rooms are somewhat dated, I had a room in 2014 with a TV screen. And not very creatively decorated. The bar is spacious, but the bartender is somewhat surly.

Normaly we want to gif the hotel a mutch beter score but....wen we left this morning our room we told the woman who came to clean the room that we left the room in 15 minutes and than she could clean it. We came back in the hotel at 10.30 hourers this evening and we saw that nobody has clean our room. We had no shampoo, no showersoap and no clean tawls. We wend to the reception and somebody brouth us the neccesairi things. We made our own beds and went to sleep. This is no service for a hotel with 4 stars.

Quite decent room, good size. Slightly inadequate cleaning. Found a couple of daughters, but nothing worse than that. Varied and good breakfast. All in all happy with our stay.

Good location, modern rooms - albeit lighting in the room is a bit strange. Seems to be missing a ceiling light in a large area of their room. Good breakfast, and good restaurant.

Everything you expect and nothing else. Shower, safe, refrigerator, TV set, breakfast for a fee. Near shopping center and transport interchange.

Excellent hotel, quiet, discreet. Excellent international breakfast, something for everyone. The hotel restaurant is excellent especially for lunch, the food is fresh and they always offer a dish of the day, international cuisine

From day one, this hotel became a hit with its central location and great atmosphere.
It had its "baptism of fire" with a large conference with all kinds of disabilities represented.
It went completely smoothly and has often been used for fairs and seminars ever since.

And the food was good too.

I arrived at the hotel late at night and left early the next morning, so I can't say much about the location of the hotel. Except that it was easy to find, about 1 minute from the t-bane station. Our room didn't work for some reason. The door was jammed so we where moved and bumped up to a business suite. This room was probably one of the best I've stayed in in any Norwegian hotel. The room was incredible spacious and modern with a clean look. Breakfast was included in the room and the breakfast buffet was ok. It had an ok assortment of foods, but I wish there was more options to put on the bread. All in all a nice stay. Would recommend it though it is a bit more pricy than the hotels I usually stay at.

Great hotel convenient location to visit the center of Oslo. The metro takes you without even leaving the hotel. Excellent breakfast both sweet and savory. Large rooms. Come back!

The hotel was excellent value the room with a river view was excellent and very nicely decorated, it all looked like it was new. The reception area, bar and restaurant were equally as good, and the staff were excellent and helpful, the food in the restaurant was very good. Perfect location for bars, restaurant, shops, and 2 minutes from the metro and busses, and some nice walks nearby along the river.

Toilet not so clean.. Slipper not available.. Asked the receptionist and only have one pair..

The comfort of the home is located in the university town, away from the dust, the environment is beautiful, close to the shopping center and the MRT station, the bar is also within walking distance.

I've spend about 200 nights here total and never had a bad experience. Friendly, comfortable, and quiet. My go-to

The hotell itself is very good. But the staffer at the front desk gave me a hard time. When I came back and the desk was manned by someone else everything was okay. Hotell and rooms was 5* all day long.

This hotel is great in the lobby and restaurant, but unfortunately it is also the only good thing.
Service in the restaurant is lacking and the staff seems indifferent, sweet enough, just tired or something.

Nice hotel, a bit out of the way but very good with the metro in 10 minutes.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are mass transit vehicles nearby. There are also shopping malls.

Good as Radisson. Met Manchester United here. Breakfast little bit poorer than ordinary Radisson.
