Very well served. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is delicious . I highly recommend it
Really disappointed with the service, i went there for lunch today with my girlfriend as it seemed a really nice place to eat, amazing menu, i have nothing to point out about the food besides that was excellent, i had the stuffed gnocchi and my girlfriend had one of the platters, i got served by a young guy that took our drinks order which were a freshly squeezed orange juice and just a big bottle of water. The drinks came, first the orange juice, and only after asking 2 different waters for the water it only arrived when the food came, +/- 15min, we had our food and when we finished the same waiter that served us only cleared one our plates since he had his other hand carrying a tray with glasses, didn't bother to come back to clear the rest, i then asked to see the dessert menu to a different waitress when only then she cleared my partners board. I ordered the fresh fruit for my pudding and a glass of coke. I wasn't thinking of complaining till that point because we were quite happy with our food, but the dessert arrived that i didn't had any cutlery to eat it with, and my girlfriend's glass of coke that had a big crack on it that she could have been easily been cut by it, that's when i decided i needed to see a manager. Told him everything that had happen, and i started by saying i didn't mind paying for the food, but i just wanted let him know about my experience, which he responded by an apology and said that i didn't had to worry about the bill. So we left. An hour or so after we went to the beach, when we were on our way to the taxi stop, one of the main waitresses stopped us, and said in front of my girlfriend, that we had left without paying the bill and that it still needed to be paid. After that i needed to write this down. Unbelievable.
Grate Every time i have been. (4-5 times) Friendly Staff Awesome Location & 3 Pools I LOVE IT! Loads of stuff to do being so close to the beach. Also Bus's that run Regularly :) All round 9/10
Had a great week at this hotel. Can be a bit confusing initially getting about the 3 towers but there are always helpful staff to point you in the right direction. Very clean & comfortable & great food. Different menu in the main dining room every night
Wonderful location.
Quiet beach. Ideal for unwinding from the busy city life
Cafeteria has excellent coffee and sweets, I havent actually been in the rooms but this is one of the top hotels on the island. Fully recommend
Lovely lunch with fresh ingredients and great variety. That atmosphere also contributes to the great lunch
Girlie week away so we stayed in a self catering apt in the centre tower. Place was lovely staff were polite & friendly especially Leonardo & Stains in the private beach area. Pools are great & clean. You must try the Indian essence & Italian (recommend to book).
Nice and lovely resort to relax
Hope to be again
A travel agent asked us to visit. Turned out we had to listen to a timeshare sales pitch.
The hotel was very nice but I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.
Visited for a day with my family and it is pure luxury. So wonderful for children and adults. The staff is kind and well trained. The views are stunning from the rooms and the pool overlooking the small bay. Really a place to enjoy life.
We visited the indian rrstaurant here, the food is authentic and good, as is the service. However, this restaurant is very expensive, probably because of the exceptional location with sea views it has.
To begin with, the views from the hotel are simply grandiose: the vastness of the sea,
the landscapes are very beautiful. The natural environment surrounding the hotel is also impressive.
Coffee in the veranda bar - pre-spa treatment
- part of a pleasant ritual. The waiters are impeccably polite and the coffee and cakes are excellent.
The staff at the SPA is friendly, nice! In dressing rooms and showers
purely. But the pool! A special word about him: spacious, clean water is very
pleasant temperature. Quiet, views
from the window are amazing. Beauty!
Jacuzzi? Too much bleach
so that the foam is nauseous - over the edge, the eyes turned red. I had to wash myself. Sauna - the pearl of the spa!
Who is the clever girl who designed
her with a glass wall ?! Luxury -
sit in amazing cleanliness
boards and contemplate the changing celestial pattern every minute, watch the play of the wind with the trees.
Well done! Exquisite pleasure
that money can't buy.
Walk on the terrace after finishing the water activities
ended with a photo shoot.
Thanks for the rare experience!
Very nice but no aminatis close by so bus or car your need
-2.5hrs waiting for my room at check-in
-lived below elephants and campsite across the road makes a fairly noisy location
-Food was average
-restaurant was too busy, apparently you need to book
-you should scrap the buffet restaurant for a finer a la carte menu
-kids should be banned from the bar after 20:00
Lovely location but next time I'll stay cheaper elsewhere and just do day trips to the beach
Great place to be you get looked after very well nothing is to much trouble, wonderful people, great food and drinks ideal place for short stay or long stay. So much to do.
Right on beach so ideal for families. We also had mini kitchen in our room. Bit of a drive to Valletta
Dinner was ok. Very disappointed that we did not find a bar open at midnight in a 5 star hotel
Excellent super good, no fault of anything. Acting city traffic to Valletta, wonderful beaches. Totally fantastic
The front desk staff are fantastic.
For those that like a beach this is the ideal place; your own private beach with service to hand.
My experience was very pleasant. But some maintenance needs to be done to be a five star hotel.
Nice facility, good service and friendly, helpful staff. However, logistics personnel find it difficult to greet. On the other hand service staff and maids are very friendly.
Brilliant hotel, atmosphere congusive for kids and families lots of walks.
Everyone did their best to help and made sure that our stay was wonderful.
Great place to stay, spacious apartments, the ones overlooking the sea are excellent - the ones at the back with rural views not as well furnished and it's a lot cooler at the rear.
If the outside pool was heated I am sure everyone would have used it!
Delicious breakfast
Excellent service
Excellent great burger and chips with 2 bottles cisk lager only 21 euro boat trip a must clear blue warm sea
Very beautiful establishment. Beautiful and large pool. The rooms are large and clean. Beautiful view of the beach. I recommend
Very nice view, on one of the best beaches in Malta.
Overall this has to be one of the nicest properties in Malta. By far the biggest benefits here is the location itself, as Golden Sands is easily the nicest beach in Malta, and the staff here overall were exceptional with their service.
The beach is perfect, and staying at the hotel gives you the massive benefit to have a private (ish...more on that in a sec) section of this beach with sun chairs and umbrellas included. Considering the other side of the beach is public and very crowded when it's nice out, staying at the hotel is worth it for this alone.
The staff is also a huge plus about this hotel. Every staff member was helpful, and if there was ever a request they couldn't cater to, they immediately were quick to provide alternatives and go out of their way to make the stay special. It was impressive how consistent the service was!
The property itself is quite nice and clean, though slightly tricky to navigate all the facilities at first. Lots of restaurant options, a gym, outdoor pools and an indoor one, as well as a water sports centre by the beach for rentals and boat tours which is great.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Maybe in need of refurbishment soon, as a phone next to the toilet is often a sign of things being a bit dated, but still was quite nice overall and at the very least a four star quality room. Pillows were comfy and huge, bed was soft, and all the amenities were great.
The only reason I wouldn't give the property 5 stars other than the rooms being slightly dated is the lack of staff and security in key areas of the property. Two key areas this was quite noticeable was the adult (16+) section of the pool, and the beach seating at the hotel. When we first arrived at the adult pool, we arrived to four kids screaming and jumping off the edge. Not a deal breaker since that wasn't the reason we booked at the Golden Sands, but it's a bad look to offer this to those looking for peace and quiet only to have 2 hours where not a single staff member was present to advise the parents there was plenty of room at the other pool without restrictions. The beach area also lacked any staff, where aside from bar staff serving drinks, there was no security monitoring that the beach seating was occupied by actual hotel guests. Vendors and various beach goers who weren't staying at the hotel would walk through, which is a bit of a concern both in terms of any belongings and I'm sure is more of an issue in the summer months where seating is likely limited.
That all being said, it is still an amazing property, and was the highlight of our week in Malta!
We enjoyed every bit of the seven nights. The facilities for the hotel was great, the service and the restaurants were great. There are about three or four restaurants with different choice of food. The evening entertainments was great. The atmosphere in the hotel is very cosy! I will recommend this hotel and it s a place I will like to visit again.
Fantastic hotel staff great food good rooms great I would recommend a sea view
A very good resort, with great facilities. Lovely views over the bay and out to sea.
This hotel has beautiful views, loads of different spots to lay or sit down and chill. The breakfast in the main restaurant was very average, but OK. There is an Indian restaurant which we recommend (especially at sunset)- the food is delicious and the staff very friendly ! :)
There are various water activities offered on the beach.
The furnishing of the hotel is older, the room was clean.
Great hotel, near Golden Beach. Located on the very edge of Malta, far from civilization))
Amazing service. Amazing views. Wonderful amenities.
The scenic view if the beach and hills is very nice. The ball room is also spacious entertaining over 300 guests.
Luxury Hotel. Good service. Good beach. Good food. Queen Elizabeth opened it!
This is our third visit to the resort which never fails to impress. The staff are all friendly and helpful and there are plenty of amenities. Especially impressed on this occasion as we received an upgrade to a 1 bed seaview apartment. We are club members so will return but would recommend this location to anyone considering a luxury stay in a beautiful country.
Our second visit to the Raddison blu golden Sands malta. We love this experience , we love Malta and its people, will definitely be back again xx
Virtually everything is good the sun is shining and it is like a summer day in Sweden in November here.
This is a beautiful hotel in and out. However if they give you a voucher which you win an holiday its a lie. We won an holiday up till today the email they claimed that it has been sent its yet to be received by myself. Don't be fooled.
Fantastic location, amazing view, clean and efficient... Elegant and professional...
Whenever we return it is always a delight to revisit this wonderful resort!
Nice staff, a bit luxurious, but expensive and isolated.
Great place for good quality 5 * relaxing holiday. Entertainment for all the family. Pool fantastic, large. Views beautiful and lovely sandy beach. Staff very helpful
Luxurious relaxation, seamless service, delicious food.
We ve been going to this hotel since 2011, the standard has slipped, now looking scruffy in places, needs a refurb to get its Best hotel on the island status back!
Awesome experience, great service, friendly staff, service impeccable.
Sunday lunch was delicious at the Essence of India restaurant. The food and the service was excellent! Highly recommended.
It's a really realaxing place, beautiful views and efficience staff.
Amazing hotel, friendly staff, you get what you pay for! A little more expensive, but the luxury touches are worth it!
Coming here is like coming home. We return every year and we love the peace and quiet. We have a country view room which overlooks the Scout camp. Even though there are often large parties of Scouts camping they are never over loud and they have a policy of music off at 11 pm.
Our favourite place is the Mokka bar. Excellent coffee and drinks menu and good tasty good too. Agliolio restaurant is also highly recommended.
Love it here hence why we keep returning.
Very nice place and very clean...just called one day for a time share visit but not for us.
Plus the hotel is abit out of the way for me. Everywhere is too far to walk to...would have to catch the bus or hire a car
