Radisson Golden Sands Review

Wonderful place for a holiday. High prices but wonderful rooms and staff. Great activities and nice food. Would visit again

Nice place out the way of anything,bus stop outside to take you where you want to go for 1.50

Good service and friendly staff however only 3 stars as the room needs to be updated (old decor) and minibar was empty. Also having arrived early due to early flight, we were still made to wait a few hours till 3 pm to check in.

Very nice place to stay remote , quiet and next to the sea.

Resort overlooking one of Malta's most beautiful beaches. Tranquility assured because isolated cities but not far if need to have fun or visit. To make a success of your stay in the island of malta.

The management staffs are very friendly, warm and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated with works of art, bath, steam room, Jacuzzi. The breakfast & dinner are full of mouth watering food. The swimming pool is very clean and well taken care off. Radisson blu Golden Sands Resorts is home away from Home.Looking forward to another vacation by the beginning of next year.

Totally fantastic and very grand new hotel. With staff that are very nice and good at there jobs.

Great Hotel we had rooms overlooking sea Staff were very helpful and friendly. Large rooms well furnished and very comfortable little chocolate every day on bed was great. Restaurants had good choice and was excellent value. Only downside it's a bit remote especially if you want evening entertainment but bus services very good didn't use them in evening. Also being self catering there wasn't a supermarket nearby and you really need a car if doing lot of shopping.

Needs it's planned refurb now as it's looking tired and recent staff changes are not the best but still a fantastic setting, looking forward to the future. The gym though is becoming dangerous and despite speaking to the manager two years ago items are still not repaired and are worsening.

The hotel is beautiful but we went to a timeshare presentation for Radisson Blue- The girl who showed us around was lovely but the American, pushy salesman that came along at the end of the presentation was rude, arrogant and aggressive. It's a shame thst Radisson are employing such people as we loved the hotel and facilities but would never entertain staying there again after this experience. Shame on you raddison, you should let your marvelous accommodation speak for itself instead of employing such bullies.

Had an awesome time here. Beautiful hotel. A very nice lady named Daniella was incredibly kind and helpful. Told me to watch the sun set overlooking the bay right outside the hotel and it was a highlight of my trip. Thanks to Daniella and her travel advice we plan on coming back to Malta as soon as possible

Stayed here a handful of times now, always been a good experience. Hotel and grounds are clean and well kept, friendly staff, food from the various outlets are good and best of all, a beautiful setting.

There's nothing I didn't like about it. Comfort, service and atmosphere are all top notch.

Beautiful location, good food and amazing service. You could spend a week in the resort itself and not be bored. Good place to hire a car and see the other sights Malta has to offer. Highly recommend and looking forward to my next trip!

The staff can not do enough for you. We ve enjoyed excellent service here for years. Whether you need medical care, room service, food delivery..... anything you need. We would highly recommend!!

Excellent hotel with large rooms and balconies half of the rooms have sea views which are stunning the other side are views of a nature reserve.
There are several pools indoor and outdoor a gym and a spa treatment also a salon.
The restaurants there are 4 of which I had seen and 2 I had dined in the food was carvery buffet with plenty of choices
Although you could choose from the menu.
The Mokka bar with views to the sea serves a good choice of meals.

Everything you need is here, food excellent everywhere and very good value considering the quality of the resort. All staff Exceptional! Son (age 6) loves the kids activities. We will return as owners

Nice hotel with fantastic view. My friends had a weeding there. One of the most important is food right? Well, I prefer to eat everywhere else. Tried few things and was below average.

Spot on 3 pools , number of different restaurants/ cuisines plenty of facilities beautiful scenery and water so clear. 5*.

Good location but expensive and not a 5 star hotel.

Positive
- Good location with direct access (stairs) to a small private beach and also 2 swimming pools.
- Friendly staff.
- Big rooms.
- Several restaurants onsite and s supermarket.

Improvement opportunities
- Beach can get crowded and not easy to find a free spot, specially during the high season.
- Pools also crowded but, even though best spots are harder to get, there is always a place available.
- Rooms were not ready at check in time (wait 1h-2h) and big queues to check in.
- Air conditioned was not working and had to change rooms. In general weak air conditioned (takes a while to cool the room if it works at all).
- Could use some refurbishment to be considered a 5 star hotel but it is not cheap.
- Slow internet.
-The hotel shares location with serviced apartments so expect to see a lot of families and kids.

We was hustled into a car and forced to stay for 6 hours

Excellent venue. Lovely place to stay, I stayed for a week. Nice clean spacious rooms. There is room service, smart controlled lighting etc. The bathroom was spacious. I had an sea room view. There is a gym, treatment spa, steam & sauna. The only negative is the location of the gym and treatment areas located within the hotel, that is awkward to get to. Well decorated throughout the hotel and very clean. There is a shop within the hotel where you can purchase snacks, frozen food, etc, but I found it quite pricey. The restaurant is good, I attended the buffet night, where there was a range of Mediterranean themed food. There was an abundance of food to choose from. All well cooked. Good value for money. There are some excellent little cafes located across from the hotel, where you can have breakfast or lunch. They are very reasonably priced. There are buses on the complex that will take you into town. It's easy & cheap. Nice walks around the area. There is allocated parking on site. Excellent views across the sea, and mountains.

Great holiday resort, beautiful rooms with a private beach. Especially great for families.

An absolutely amazing experience!!! It was definitely worth the 14+ hours to fly from the US. I only wish we had more time. Vicenzo at the kids playroom is amazing, the pictures we purchased from our trip in Malta turned out great (Thanks Alessandra). Everyone was so sweet, and accommodating. Our favorite restaurants within the hotel were Swizzles and the lagoon bar. Horseback riding was also an added plus, and within walking distance. I can rave about this place all day!!! It is absolutely in my top 5 of best resorts. My family and I had an amazing time! We cannot wait to visit again. Happy Easter Everyone

Very, very soft beds, relaxing atmosphere all around. I stayed here for a week, at the start of March; the hotel is spread out over several buildings and floors. With both indoor and outdoor pools, the hotel has it's own shops and several restaurants; including a deli and laundrette.
For restuaurant opening times and directions to them, I asked at reception. The spa facilities include their own treatments, whilst the general spa includes a sauna, jacuzzi (press button at back), dip pool, and steam room; the latter being hard to find, as it's located down the hallway leading to ladies changing rooms.
The breakfast was a buffet style one, in the Flavours restaurant area. Everything from Cereals, fruit, pancakes, full English, and several hit and cold beverages,

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, at whatever time of day you ask them. All in all, it was a great stay.

Golden Sands is a beautiful resort in an excellent location. One thing that stood out was the quality of service we received through our stay. Kid friendly with loads of activities to keep the young ones busy, enough facilities to last a week long stay. Would definitely return. 5 stars!!!

Excellent spa hotel in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff who are helpful and friendly.
Rooms are well maintained , fresh and clean.
The restaurants are top class offering a range of meals for all tastes and appetites.
The grounds are immaculately cared for and the plentiful swimming pools are always clean and tidy.
All in all a great place for a relaxing break.

I've been to this hotel several times and was always served well. The entertainment provided in the evenings in summer is really nice and a photographer goes round to help you preserve your memories

We have just arrived at the hotel and already several problems we took a suite first surprise no brush to clean the toilets we tested the pseudo Italian restaurant which it has only the name we had never eaten also bad paw absolutely not cooked and bathing in an oil bath to escape luckily that the manager was there and Quelle gave us a price thank you Josette for the rest great swimming pool establishment clean but on the side in view of the services

Went for breakfast ...had to ask for everything ..service was disappointing...no cutlery...no coffee ..no milk ..no removal of plates ...had to chase down a waiter every time

I put a star because it is not possible not to put at all. We have been with my friends for a day trip to the hotel pool. The reception was deplorable and humiliating. A waitress told us to wait while she went to see a manager to find out if we were allowed to stay, then security came because this waitress said we had settled in without asking and we did not want to go out. So in front of everyone we got fired as evil clean. Very disappointed with the welcome of this establishment.
