Radisson Blu Farnham Estate Hotel Review

Guests liked the stay in general, food was ok and the staff were quite friendly but the spa treatments were not really great!

Beautiful place spa is amazing so peaceful love it and the staff are so Helpful and friendly 10 out of 10.

Lovely hotel setting surrounded by the private parkland, forests and manicured golf courses. Service is descent, but quite rigid (e.g. children are not allowed in the pool, herbal tea was not an option in the set dinner menu, filtered water not provided outside meals). SPA services are great, but the pool and sauna areas can get really busy and noisy. Food in the bar and restaurant deserves 3-4 stars and can not compete with artisan cuisine. Generally the hotel has a great potential, but it felt like it's already in decline...

Very relaxing hotel with a fantastic spa facility. Food is top class and staff are excellent. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

What can I say, so good we stayed an extra 2 nights. Great walks, beautiful spa with an amazing infinity pool along with a very nice restaurant amd pub! The staff we very helpful and friendly while not invasive, can't wait to go again!

If it's relaxation you want you will certainly get it here. We particularly liked the spa and salt room and the lovely views from the infinity pool.

Absolutely love Farnham. The quality of room for what you pay is very competitive. We have stayed here at least once a year for the last five. Love the pool and spa. Food is delicious too. Afternoon tea is always good also.

Beautiful wedding venue, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast

A lovely doorman Terry who allowed me to park outside the hotel as I was only there for a short period and had two little dogs with me.
Really nice afternoon tea served by the lovely Erin. Excellent service.

Brought my Girlfriend here for her birthday as a surprise. On arrival was charged an extra 20 (apparently I only booked it for one person? But at 200 a night and it being her birthday you'd think they'd of let that one slide). Lady on reception wasn't the friendliest by any means (not welcoming). Room was fantastic, really unique features.

The service in the bar was very slow. 25 minutes waiting on 2 Martinis for example.

We ate in the cellar bar. I liked the setting, and the food was to a good standard to be fair. Service downstairs was outstanding...in fact that was the best service I've ever had anywhere.

Driving through the ground on arrival I was sure I was going to come back...but as I was leaving I was thinking twice about it

Stayed here for my wedding anniversary a few years ago. Great size room. We used the spa. Had mud treatment and massage. Indoor and outdoor pool very nice.

Beautiful old historic building which has been sympathetically converted into a modern hotel. Wonderful Sunday lunch and my wife says the spa is fabulous. Would get 5 stars if the car park were nearer to the hotel as there is a 200m walk (and a shuttle bus service)

Unbelievable Experience! The staff here is amazing, catering to your every whim. Attended a wedding and the food was amazing, serving staff excellent, rooms were quiet and super comfortable. By far one of the best weddings we've attended in Ireland!!

Rooms are spacious and roomy. The thing is surroundings, there are scenic avenues to take a stroll at! Beautiful. I hope I can stay here again and next time more than 2 days.

Excellent hotel, beautiful setting in 16th century Georgian house, which is so charming and romantic. The rooms are very comfortable, beautiful pool with our door pool with indoor and outdoor sun lounger to relax by the pool. If you fancy some training you can walk, jog or cycle through the estate woods with ancient beech, redwood, oak and other trees stunning. Also an indoor gym. The restaurant and the bars great for excellent food and drink. Well worth a visit.

Staff very friendly and helpful a lovely place to stay had a great game of golf

This is a hotel to indulge, with a top class leisure facility with all sorts of steam rooms, sauna, showers fragranced by all sorts of aromas.
With both indoor and outdoor swimming pool, if you love water therapy, you will love this place.
Set in its own country estate and golf course, you have both the old original building and the new extension with all the modern facilities. So it is the ideal holiday for the golf enthusiast and walker. It is also a wonderful setting for a wedding. The food is top class and all served up with a smile.
The only difficulty I had was that the sinage around the hotel was quite small and hard to follow.

Beautiful hotel and country grounds. The spa and the swimming pool are amazing. Restaurant menu and food is fabulous. The hotel and restaurant staff are very good and very helpful. Recommend staying in this hotel.

Fabulous spa hotel, with excellent dining. very attentive staff. We go here as often as we can and have never had a bad experience.There is nothing better than a swim in the out door pool on a cold autumnal day and the pop inside for a sauna or steam room detox.

I did not have a great experience at the Franham.

Check in was ok, staff were polite and friendly. Stayed in room 207, room was standard, no a/c but a fan in the room. The bed was a huge disappointment, as it was two single beds put together.

I was looking forward to the use of the spa, but due to the works being carried out it ruined my experience, the works could have been easily completed outside of hours, instead you had 2-3 contractors making people feel uncomfortable. One of the saunas was not working, no out of order sign displayed.

People using their mobile phones and taking selfie's and checking their facebook accounts, people swimming and not using their swimming caps, no staff from the Farnham to be seen to monitor this.

Food in the restuarant was ok, portions sizes was small, my partners cheesecake desert was not great.

Upon checking out, I mentioned the above points to the front desk, she said she would pass the comments onto the spa manager and when I mentioned the 2 single beds, she didn't seem to have an answer for this.

The Farnham advertise that they are a 4 star hotel, I did not receive 4 star treatment. In my opinion your money is best spent in another spa.

The pool facility is outstanding and the restaurant is very good but a little pricey. The staff could not be more pleasant or helpful.

Had a fabulous spa weekend here with family. Beautiful hotel , staff so friendly , food delicious, definitely be back again

We stayed here for our mini-moon as it was recommended by friends and weren't disappointed. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, received a bottle of prosecco delivered to our room and received a lovely sweet treat after our dinner as a gift.
The mix between old and new in the resort is seamless, the place is well maintained, the staff were pleasant at all times and the grounds were big enough to spend a good few hours walking around.
The food was good quality in both restaurants and the breakfast was tasty although I would have preferred soda or potato bread as well.
The spa was semi open but we were there at a quiet time and didn't have to wait on anything. The view from the outdoor pool was so peaceful.
We've stayed in all the main resorts up North and this one comes out on top when compared to them. This will be our first choice for a mini break from now on.

Terrible experience will never go to this hotel again. Went to the Radisson for Sunday lunch . Call reception the day before to ask was their options on the menu for plant-based Vegan I was told there would be options for starter main course and dessert. When we arrived the only starter was cream dairy vegetable soup. There was no plant based vegan main course . And there was no dessert plant based vegan. Even the vegetables had butter on them
Potato mash had butter and milk .
The only options where some fruit and small amount of salad .
When I explained to the staff member I had contacted a day before and was told there would be options for vegan plant based she said no there is no options and kept walking. I approached her again and she said I will have to ask the chef what he can provide . She came back to me and said the only option was a Indian curry. these conversations were going on in front of all other people there for lunch and was very uncomfortable having to ask .completely missing the point that I had contacted them the day before and was told completely different. All around staff were very unprofessional and very poorly trained in ( hospitality ). They offered the Indian curry for free. I said no I did not want any special treatment I just wanted what they said the day before on the phone .

Love love love this place. To say I was relaxed when I left is an understatement.

For Cavan locals I know a trip out on Sunday for the Sunday lunch ( 26 per head) is a nice treat. We've been coming on each of our visits over many years but today was pretty bad. I'd say the food choice & quantity has reduced by at least 50%, 200ml coke for 3, if you have kids who are fussy eaters forget it. We mentioned to a waitress that there was no cream by the desserts. She looked at the desserts table and said "you're right, we don't have any cream today" .
Starter : less choice than before offering continental meats and tropical fruits, not your basics
Main : was good to be fair, very tasty
Dessert : what was there was nice but rows and rows of the same thing. No cream or custard or bowls. Used to be a much better offering, more like a kids party this time round. Who wants some more jelly and cream? (Without the cream )

My partner and I stayed here just before Christmas and had an amazing stay. The hotel itself was really impressive, mixing the old style buildings with the new, modern side of the resort.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, especially our server at dinner, she not only was very attentive but also helped us choose a nice wine and told us a funny story. Dinner itself was also extremely well presented and delicious.

The spa was great, I especially loved the wide array of different steam rooms and water treatments, although the outdoor pool could have been a tad bit warmer!

We had massages which were absolutely amazing and the highlight of our stay. The hotel was a tad bit quiet but that can be expected close to Christmas, but overall we loved our stay and would love to return.

Permanent neck damage from a visit in 2017 from a young girl who looked like she was just out of college or in training. I did ring at the time but was met with a wall of denial with the calls i received back. I went in without neck damage and came out with neck damage simple as that and have had to explain physio. I have visited many spas and never had issue this is is the worst one with worse handling by a manager in denial at the time.
