Leaky toilet, air conditioning didn't work. Waited for maintenance to come all night and when CSR at front desk was confronted she got an attitude and told me I can check out if I don't like it. Her name tag said Kelsey CTA...

Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Pool and hot tub are absolutely wonderful

It's so good for the price of 120 a night. Now my go to hotel for Grand Rapids

The first night we were there, there was an odd flickering coming from over by the tv area, we pulled out the fridge thinking it was that. The next morning I told the front desk staff about this, as well as telling them that there was left over food in the fridge that wasn t ours, they reassured me that everything was going to be taken care of. That night I get back to our room, that old food again that isn t ours was still in the fridge, highly disappointed. That night the flickering appeared to happen again, we were leaving for dinner, and I informed the front desk staff that it came from the light in the room so possibly a shortage, I told the front desk staff she said that she would get someone right away to look at it. That night it did it again, she never sent anyone to look at it. Sunday morning I went to have breakfast at 9:25, breakfast was open till 10. There was about 15 people in the dining room, and it was just myself in line, my other guests were sleeping. I waited in line for about 10 minutes before I even saw a host, and she then proceeded to tell me that due to the amount of people in the dining room they aren t taking anymore people and there isn t enough food. I was offended as I am a bigger person, however, I did go to the front desk and told the front desk worker, she rolled her eyes, and went to the kitchen, I sat and waited and a couple more guests came in, and the host in the restaurant said the same to them. I re told the front desk worker and she didn t have anything more to say. I was highly disappointed in this. There was still a half n hour for breakfast and I was told they weren t taking anymore people and it was just me. It was a cheerleading weekend, and there were tons of cheerleaders at that hotel that were sadly looking forward to a good breakfast.

This place was way above what I expected! Very clean, very friendly. Bartender Andrew was great. When we come back to Grand Rapids we will definitely be back!! Loved that it was quiet even with so many people for the concert. Great experience. Highly recommend!!

The Banquet facility is outstanding. The staff is extremely customer focused and always ready to help with a great dining experience.

Clean rooms and beds, no problems while we were there.

Amazing rooms, amazing service and it is close to the down town area with free shuttle services to downtown. They also have free coffee for their guests and a great pool/hot tub area. They also offer a nice outside area that includes a large chess set and a few fire pits for romantic nights. This hotel offers a restaurant and a lounge for guests to hang out at, and it is right off the highway. My family and I will definitely be gong back!

Really beautiful hotel at a great price. A modern touch with the furniture and just feels brand new. The staff was super friendly and accomdating, they also allowed my wife and I to check in early since we are not from the area, and had no place to hang out until the normal check in times. I am very appreciative for that!! The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has a bar, which serves delicious food and tasty drinks. (I recommend their dirty martinis) 24/7 fresh coffee in the lobby, which is also great!

States in town for a wedding. Loved the look of the lobby and the rooms were beautiful as well. Ceilings and showerhead in the bathroom were a bit low though.

Staff is super nice (including the hotel restaurant). For the most part the room was decent but the sleep number beds (or as my husband called them, the "beach balls") were total garbage. My husband actually moved over to the sleeper sofa which was slanted and a foot too short because the bed was so uncomfortable. To boot, the "view" of the Grand River leaves more than a lot to be desired. I'll pay a little more to stay a little closer to downtown next time.

Beds suck....plastic mattress covers make for uncomfortable sleeping. Smells old or mildew, elevators are extremely slow and food at the river rock is not good.

The hotel was nice and mostly clean. There was loud work being done, sounded like in the next room at 10am. Woke us up aggressive a long night.

I had pizza and prosecco with a friend in the lounge. Pizza was tasty and the staff friendly.

We stay here whenever we come to town. Nice pool, clean rooms, friendly staff!

Dirty room. Informed front desk who handed me a "card" to contact corporate office. I sent them two emails without any response. I then asked my bank to dispute the charge and reach out to them. She did. Told me the owner was one of the rudest people she had spoken with in a long time. He told her it wasn't his job to answer emails and that I was lying. Funny, I have several photos and video. I called and tried to reach him. He didn't return my call. I then sent him another email and he responded that basically I was screwed and he wouldn't offer any refund. Dirty Dirty Dirty

Many things felt run down. From the lobby to the rooms. Elevator worked may have worked half the time. Restaurant had one person working.

The rooms were decent but the breakfast buffet was not very good the food was not hot all the time some of the stuff was overcooked. And I don't think the communication between the front desk staff and the people that set up the reservations had communicated why we were there and how to set the rooms up. There was a mess up with the rooms they randomly assigned people the numbers without asking us who was rooming together.

The hotel was newly renovated. Everything seems very clean but there was a gap between our door and the door jamb where it let light in from the hallway. There were definitely areas of the hotel that still needed some TLC mostly the elevator and the carpeting but overall it was a great hotel for the price.

I had a friend in town for a conference that stayed there, so we hit up the bar that used to be Holly's Landing. Looks like they've completely remodeled it and it doesn't have the old loungy dive vibe anymore, which is a bit of a bummer, but it's still nice. The staff were polite and helpful. I only wished I could've spent the night to regail you with the tales of crisp sheets, comfy beds and sweet dreams long since drifted like fog in the evening air. But hey, there's the bar.

Nice room. Modern decorating. TV signal a bit static-y but not a huge deal. Bed was very firm. Might not be a comfortable sleep for everyone.

Was in a suite visiting out of town family. The updates it went through are great. Front desk staff doesn't make you feel welcome. They don't even look up or greet you

Good price for the area. I would classify this as a "get what you pay for" type situation. You want a cheap room or do you want a quality room, apparently, you can't have both. Loud hallways, no response from staff when complaining about people yelling up and down the hallways all night. We called the front desk to ask that they address the yelling. The staff member approached the yelling group and laughed about the fact that they were receiving complaints and did nothing about it. I'd gladly pay more for a responsive staff and quiet nights sleep and next time, I will.

Rooms were nice and clean. Facilities were very nice. Would have given 5 stars but some of the tables and night stands in the rooms had knicks/scrapes along with some water damage.

the room was far overpriced for what we paid for. My friend and I unplugged the main powerstrip due to the humming of the fridge so we could sleep. The bed was comfortable but the room wouldn't regulate temperature. In the morning to get breakfast there was 1 waitress for 4 customers including us and she was no where to be found. I ended up getting our menus and the line cook had to track her down so we could place our order. The lady at the front desk was rude about the fact that my friend has a SERVICE DOG and was mean to him and made both of us feel uncomfortable. I would not stay here ever again. Find some place new.

Good location for the price. Hotel is dated, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Having food/bar at the hotel is nice for an after work drink.

BEST hotel in Grand Rapids ... don't waste money on anything more expensive, you won't find service like this anywhere else. Extremely friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms, free parking, reliable internet, and far above average quality complimentary breakfast.

There aren't blow dryers in the rooms and no continental breakfast. It's 9.99 for adults and 5.99 four kids for the buffet.They are very very clean. Nice people that work there. The rooms are great. Pool and outside deck very comfortable. They keep pool open last then most places. I would definitely go back.

The staff was so kind and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready at first so we hung out in the lounge and then Denise, the manager, upgraded us for the inconvenience. We will be back and we will stay at the Grand River.

This place was great I loved it! Staff is incredibly nice and the room was really clean. Hot tub was so nice felt great to relax. And its close to everything so you dont have to drive to far to go anywhere.

Went to this hotel thinking it would be decent being that it was redone not that many years ago. This hotel lobby and entrance was nice and that s were it ended. Room was small paint on the window, had a musty smell, staff was rude, the bathroom was worse then any hotel I ve ever been in motel 6 included. Black mold bad repairs paint peeling just to name a few things. Elevator broke had to use stairs not a good hotel. The breakfast buffet was $5.99 and worse then any other free hotel breakfast I ve had. Same set up and options just less and not as good.. never will I go back or recommend this to anyone..

The place was so bad that we would not return ever breakfast was 2 buck just to eat never been in a place that does that.

Beds are rock hard, they are trying to renovate but much of the hotel is dated. Cleanliness is hit and miss. Restaurant/bar is over priced with mediocre food at best. My employer pays for us to stay there. Have stayed well over a dozen times. If I was paying out of pocket I would go elsewhere.

Very nice, clean accommodations with courteous staff, easy check in and check out, and a nice lounge. The rates are very fair, and it is very close to downtown Grand Rapids. 10/10.

Nice clean rooms. Bathrooms are tiny, but adaquate. Staff was friendly.

Overall stay was good. The hotel is recently renovated, and on the surface looks nice. The finish on the renovations, on closer inspection, is not very good. There was peeling wall paper, cracked backing in the wardrobe, the lower shower runner was loose, and the toilet was running constantly. The mattresses weren't very comfortable, either. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly, so for one night it was good enough for our needs. I would stay there again, but it's not all that impressive.

It was ok. The price was affordable. The shuttle to downtown was convenient.

The staff It's kind of unprofessional. They ran our card and they said it is declined but then it ends up not being the card that they ran so I'm wondering why they ran my card earlier and then they threatened to evict us out of the hotel after my father drove 5 hours to get here. I am absolutely outraged about this place and I'm going to tell everybody to knock out here

Unfortunately we had someone beating on a door outside the room and I was told that the police were called,I know that it's was out of there control but I thought they may do something for me to make it right and to make me happy.

Great service and views. From my experience the place was very clean. I spend a lot of time in hotels and this is definitely one of the better places. TV stations and picture quality could be worked on. That is lacking. Seems like depending on the room, some rooms get better quality pictures and different stations then others. Past that, I couldn't find any faults with the place. Great views of the river, very friendly staff.

The lobby was immaculate. The rooms were pretty clean, there were just a couple areas on the bathroom floor and on the desk that I noticed. Friendly staff at check in. It was a great stay and I'd stay there again.

It's crummy. The ac unit kept screeching every time it turned on throughout the night. High pitched ear piercing screeching. Woke me up each time. It turned on around every 30 minutes. Horrible stay... Never coming back.

We used this hotel for our wedding guests, over 30 rooms were booked, and it could not have gone smoother. All the rooms were nicely furnished with a microwave and mini fridge and the shuttle was a great way for guests to explore the city. Nate was very helpful at the front desk and polite. It was convenient to have the option of a bar/breakfast buffet at the restaurant for guests after the wedding and the next day. Prices and amenities were better than all other hotels in the area for our wedding block.

You can tell it's old even with the updates. Our room door was crooked you could see light between the door and door jam. Not worth the money. Friendly staff.

The only real issue I had was the size of the room, very small. Not bad overall

Renovations are being done now, so it's hard to really give the look a good review. The staff communication needs work though. We were originally put on the 5th floor, and when we got up there a maintenance man told us that the whole floor was not done being renovated. The Manager was sorry about it, but putting someone on a floor that was closed is pretty bad. There was also someone complaining that no one had come to fix their heater after a hour and a half wait.

Nasty smelling rooms , smells like mold coming out of vents , the maids do not vacuum the rooms daily , counter people were very nice and polite

Before even entering the hotel there were homeless people asking for money at the corner. Upon entering the hotel the desk clerks were nice and courteous but unprofessional. Our room was on the 2nd floor- which they are in the middle of renovating. Our bathroom had tile missing from the floor, the bathroom amenteties were bare minimum and the toilet ran all night. Breakfast is not complimentary which we knew ahead of time so no lack of stars for that. Even though we were facing the river when we looked out our window we had the view of looking at a big A/C unit. Overall wasn't impressed and I wouldn't go back or recommend for family/friends. For the price it was OK but the website makes it look way more upscale.

Talk about overpriced! Outdated rooms, very small, bathroom has cracked paint. This hotel is so outdated. WIFI SUCKS! Desk chair was ripped, window shade was stuck in the track, I would only have paid 75.00 a night for this old outdated crappy hotel. I would Not recommend. Also, their beds suck! They have plastic under the sheet, the sheets are very low quality.Hard and not soft at all. I am surprised the health department hasn't come in here YUK! In my opinion, they put too much money into their "bar area." Need to put more money into the rooms. But, hey you get what ya' pay for!

There was a bigger panhandling traffic at the entrance to the hotel. The entire place shows signs of aging, and if I had to guess it's been 5 years since they had a maintenance guy or a manager who gave a damn. The rooms are ok, but dated and dingy, and everything from lobby to shower is dinged up. On the shower subject, it took 5 minutes for the water to get hot.

Fire hazard waiting to happen with blocked elevators with huge boxes ... Can't move threw hallways. Rude management towards employees. Very unprofessional.

Minimally acceptable in almost every regard. The only thing they did well was the breakfast buffet where food was generous and server was friendly. The bathroom wasnt level and the door didnt close, the bartender cussed when we walked in because she didnt want more customers, the beer wasnt good, dinner was cold, there was a used contact on the floor of our room and dirt in the shower, they didnt clean our room between nights even though they were cleaning the room across the hall when i removed do not disturb sign. Nothing horrible but lots and lots that could and should have been better... and a really good breakfast buffet.
