I love coming here. There's a kids playground with a jumping pillow thing and a decently appointed playset with climbing frame for the older kids. Last time we stayed there part of the pool area was undergoing some maintenance however the area was clean and usable. The water in the main pool was clear and warm and though there were a number of groups there we never felt crowded or uncomfortable.

Keep an eye out for deals for meals as the restaurants can be pricey, though the food and service is always excellent and even my kids love coming here too.

I came to this hotel expecting it to be at 5-star standards but unfortunately I was let down across most aspects of the business. The major issue at play was that the elevators were malfunctioning for the 3 days that we were here while the hotel seemed to be at capacity. Most times it was in excess of 20 minutes to get downstairs which made us late for the function that we were attending. Each time we wished to go back to the our room we were faced with the dread of having to commit to 30-40min of wasted time completely unacceptable. Aside from this our twin room has double beds that were quite small and generally the room was rundown and not up to standard. The foyer toilets were not cleaned properly as I noted that there was the same pieces of gum in the men s urinals two nights in a row. Service staff seemed demotivated and unprofessional, particularly at breakfast. I guess below average overall, so please do not purport to be 5-stars.

Supposedly 4.5 but a little shoddy in the basic rooms. Facilities 5 , food and service excellent. Little things not up to expected standard. Ah but the showers were wonderful. Ooodles of hot water and high pressure.

Beautiful place to stay. Amazing food and great service by the amazing staff. The only reason they are receiving a 3 stars because of the lifts. As part of a conference having to miss part of it due to all 4 lifts not working. A 15 minute wait for the lifts was not good. The staff were so helpful taking us up in the service elevator and coordinating with reception staff- so they worked above and beyond.

I was charged $400 in fees to my room that were not mine. All I bought the entire weekend were a couple of bottles of water. Now that they ve overcharged me I m told it will take a few days to reimburse me. At no point did the resort apologise. I found out I d been overcharged as I was boarding the plane so emailed them. When I landed I had no response. I called them and a rude woman on the phone said oh yeah you re the one who has been emailing us . Yes, I d been emailing because I couldn t call from the plane, could not afford more than $400 in wrong charges and spent the entire flight sick with worry and concerned my bank would charge an overdraw fee. They didn t even offer to reimburse me for the bottles of water I did take from the mini bar- you d think that would be the least they could do. So now I m out of pocket, waiting for a refund and will be short of money for a few days.
On top of that, I went to reception during my stay and asked for a bandaid. They had no first aid kit apparently - and directed me to buy a packet of bandaids from the shop , which I did as I had no choice.
The pool when I swam in it was cold, not heated properly and I had to get out after 2 minutes.
To top it off there were rude guests staying on my floor for whom loud hallway conversations between rooms was the norm - seems to attract a certain type of loud, disrespectful crowd.

Food is very average for a 4 star resort, Room service uses stale bread on their club sandwiches and rolls. Also out of 5 eating establishments only 1 seems to be open at any one time, we have resorted to take away delivery and going offsite for a good meal

RACV Royal Pines Resort is home to a well-rated and always popular 27-hole golf course, which sits at the heart of Queensland's Gold Coast. There are many attractive holes to challenge your game on the Green and Gold "Championship" nines (to the east of the clubhouse) as well as on the Blue-nine (to the west).

Amazing golf course. Unfortunately doesn't cater well for amateur golfers. Marshels are very quick to tell you to "hurry up" so you don't slow down the group behind. A fair call but perhaps they should allow more time between groups or at least allow for different skill levels.

have given myself some time to comback on this problem, not my usual form, but.

We booked for Xmas lunch based on the information provided which featured a Seafood Buffet The table for 5 adults 2 chindren and an infant.
Promised were presents for the children and as you are aware several other enticing packaged items.

Disappointedly the seafood buffet consisted of very undesized prawns, steamed tastless fish, very samll oysters and crabs (very dried from freezer storage)and some other token stuff.

What remained was the meat and sweets. No consulation at all.

We anticipated a great Xmas lunch spoilt with an aray of seafood, such as Oysters Kilpatrick, lobster moutnay, larger prawns and many varieties of fish.

For the $160 per head adults kids $80, I had to chase the waiters on several occasions to replenish drinks and cutlery as they were removed. The waiters seemed more intent on clearing us out and emptying the table top. Definitely not personal service.

The kids did not get presents and we were told they all went the night before, although those in the front of thee queue were OK.

The dining room was late opening and it was 12:30 before were were settled (Noon to 3:00pm booking). Mind you at 3.00 (no early call) the cut off was exactly with no overlap.

All in all this was a 'rip off' of an experience

An interesting challenge is to find the restaurant in the resort, and apparently there are a few different ways! Easiest is to park in the underground car park, go up a level to the Reception level, cross the lobby (past Reception) then go down to Level 2. Service was a little 'rushed' to get orders in, which was followed by a rather lengthy wait, then a rush to clear the table (clearing plates whilst some were still eating made them feel pressured to hurry up and finish). The meals were reasonably good value and enjoyable when they finally arrived (pork belly, ravioli, linguine, lamb shanks, spaghetti and a pizza, all preceded by bruschetta).
