We ate here today after my daughter s graduation and I was so pleased with our food and service. The BBQ was great and I appreciated the care they took to be safe during the pandemic. Thanks!

Great BBQ. Especially like their Ribs and Burnt Ends.

Just ok. Had issues with ordering. BBQ sauce was pretty decent. Sides are tiny. Fries were good. Really wanted fried okra, but it wasn't on the menu. They do have sweet tea though!

I enjoy my visit at Rub Bar Que. And recommend it to all my friends.

The pulled pork was good, but the onion straws were not warm...onion rings would be better.

Most tender flavorful Burnt Ends ever!! The hash bowl is delicious and the cheesy corn is amazing!! Great service. Everyone is super nice. My new favorite BBQ spot!

Did a class recently and I was impressed! Great info, but the best part was eating at the end. Hands down, some of the best BBQ meat I've ever tasted and, to top it off, the fries and cheesy corn were phenomenal. Definitely will be returning for dinner again!

sausage was dry- looks like it sat in cooker all day. They smelled the salsa before asking if we wanted any on a burrito. Ok service but food all looked old. wont go back

I had a burnt end sandwich there, with fries. I thought it was pretty good for a quick bite to eat. I would definitely go there again.

Pork burrito. If you're not eating this why are you even breathing? This hands down beats any of those other "burritos". And if you think a clean kitchen is important, this is as clean as it gets!

Have enjoyed eating here many times. Owner is Awesome, also offers classes on how to grill/smoke

Pretty good food. Had the ribs, beans, cheesy corn and a hillbilly bowl. It was all good.

Burnt ends were a little overdone but still good. Beans and mac & cheese weren't anything to write home about. Probably would have given 3 stars but the corn bread was out of this world. Perfect amount of sweetness.

Bbq salad. When 2 awesome things combine, great things happen. That's all I have to say.

Loved the burnt ends and sausage. Hot sauce is... HOT! House sauce is excellent. Cheesy corn side lovable.

This is our fourth time to visit this wonderful place. The service was not up to its usual excellence this time, but since we have been here multiple times in the last two years we knew that was not the norm. Portions are great and the food is wonderful!

Prices are comparable to other Bar-B-Que restaurants but the amount of food you get is great. Friendly staff and good tasting food.

At the Harley Davidson Store in Olathe. Just tried their pulled pork. Pretty darn good! I be their for a visit soon.

I had heard great things about this place from, The Rub catering a friend's wedding. I was sorely disappointed that my whole family was unable to swallow down this dry dry dry meat the highlight of my meal was the mushy fries. From one KC BBQ lover to another stay away from this trash.

Best BBQ in Kansas City!!! Definitely try the cheesy corn and french fries!!! Awesome service and immaculate cleanliness from the staff.

Good place for Kansas city-style BBQ. They even have passable Carolina pulled pork!

Had The Rub for dinner at our wedding. It was AMAZING and the attendants were super friendly and professional. I highly recommend the Burnt Ends!

Double Check your order prior to leaving. Ordered two entrees, one was missing a side and the other entree was incorrect.

I thought this place was great! The beef was tender and moist and I loved their sauce! I would highly recommend this to anyone!

In a town full of BBQ I would put this restaurant in the middle. Pulled pork is good and the sugar crusted corn bread is great.

The ribs were way undercooked and cold. It came in plastic, They are supposed to come in aluminum foil. The pulled pork was also undercooked. The Cole slaw tasted like lettuce and had no flavor.

Pulled Pork sandwich with a haystack and fries is what I order each time. Haven't been let down. The flavor of smoke is nice and not sure if they make their own sauce but it is tasty as well.

The food was really good. Though the bowls are small they really load them up. The guys in the kitchen were helpful and their bbq sauce was good.

5 stars for food, 3 stars for authenticity and atmosphere. 4 stars average.

Not much food for the price. Much better places around that are generous with their portions.

Solid BBQ, good sides, great specials. They do the old standards well, and have some other stuff on the menu. Bowls are really great, and the small size is a lot of food. Kids eat free on Sundays. Not much of a beer selection.

Disgusting food. Two words: cafeteria barbecue. The meat was cold and greasy, the slaw was too sweet, and the sauce was this awkardly sweet and pretending to be spicy. If food is going to be this sub par it should not be so far out of the way.

A good BBQ place, meat has great flavor, definitely good enough to stay in the KC market. Really enjoyed ribs, pulled pork and cheesy corn.

Space was neat and clean. Had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, brownie, and iced tea.

Appreciate that they brew their own iced tea and haven't gone to the soda fountain tea.

Sandwich was good. Pork was flavorful and juicy. Sweet sauce on the table was good.

Beans were too sweet for my liking.

Brownie was alright. Nothing to write home about. Will definitely eat here again.

The Rub is a great BBQ place for Olathe. We have used it multiple times for lunch caterings for the office. There is always PLENTY of food leftover and they always deliver on time!

This was our first time eating here. We enjoyed it a lot. They were Polite and very good service.

Never knew what I had been missing til I tried the Rub! I'm kind of a BBQ snob, especially burnt ends. I won't recommend a place until they've proven repeatedly they have good stuff. The RUB has good stuff!! Can't go wrong with their burnt end haystack and fries! The fries are bomb! Sauces are good but unnecessary. Unlike some places, the sauce is on the table not on the meat. They don't need sauce to sell their bbq...all good stuff!!! 3 years since I discovered the place and even to this day, I've never been disappointed!!

I was a cab driver and picked up one of the great guys and took him to work; my mouth instantly began to water. I decided to support the business and purchase a burntbends sandwich, best choice ever in my life. Lol Great food, Great people, and my experience was both memorable and tasty!

I love the bowls here, and the burritos, and portions are good for the price. It's also my fave place for sausage, and the pulled pork and burnt ends are also excellent. At the risk of stirring up controversy, I also think their cheesy corn is better than jack stack. Only thing we haven't loved is the potato salad, but it's still our new favorite neighborhood BBQ joint.

Really enjoyed the bbq we will be going back for more but what made it even better are meal was paid for by a 20 year Retired Military veteran. He said he was paying it forward And I promise I will do the same. Thanks from what 1 veteran to another.

Great BBQ and the kids eat free.....everyday. Always a great atmosphere. Plus, my wife loves there bowls. She always gets excited to go for BBQ. :-)

The bowls here are fantastic and the helpings are absolutely huge. Would highly recommend going and checking it out. They also offer BBQ classes and I've heard these are great.

The Rub is easy to find, the staff are good, the menu is large and there is a TON of seating for busy days. I Got the Ultimate Platter so I could try a variery of meats. The Sausage was good, the Pulled Pork was good, the Ribs were decent, but the Burnt ends were disappointing. There was no fat on them, so they weren't juicy and weren't very tasty. They were overcooked as several of my Burnt Ends were dry, hard and extremely chewy. The White Cedder Mac & Cheese was creamy and savory. Kate's Cheesy Corn was good too. The Potato Salad was disappointing. The original sauce was both sweet and savory with a bit of an afterburn.
Overall, a pretty good BBQ joint. I enjoyed my meal here (and have LOTS of leftovers). Nothing outstanding, but good, solid, KCBBQ.
