R.I.S.E Review

RISE is a company with a great legacy and an even greater future. I decided to join RISE just over four years ago. I know now that this was one of the best decisions of my life. I've worked for companies that focused on everything but their culture and their employees. So, I can safely say that RISE has the best culture of any organization I've ever worked for. Also, the culture here at RISE isn't some platitude posted on the wall or hidden in an employee manual; it is the life and the breath of RISE. The 'Love, Serve, Care' mindset permeates the organization from the CEO on down, and the CEO is, by the way, the best example of a Servant Leader that you will ever find. I'm so proud to be a small part of this fantastic group of people who genuinely care for their coworkers, customers, and communities that their efforts impact daily.

As an employee who just celebrated 21 years of employment with RISE, I can t imagine working for a better company or group of people. RISE is truly an amazing company where everyone cares about each other and we all strive daily to positively impact others that we encounter. So thankful and blessed to have owners who encourage us to participate in community service events, team building projects, and annual leadership conferences. These activities allow the employees to live out the mission and culture that RISE promotes, and I am so proud to be a part of this team!

I have been a team member at RISE for 5 years and have grown so much professionally and personally. The team took me on the week after I graduated from college and have invested in my development every day since then. Not only are the professionals who work here true industry experts, they also have incredibly generous and compassionate hearts with no shortage of commitment to their clients, partners, team members, and families. If you want the opportunity to grow in your career, to be part of a growing and motivated team, and to have a direct hand in a greater mission, then RISE is the work family you're looking for.

I am the first to live in a brand new property they built called Nicholson Gateway at LSU. Nothing works and it is dangerous due to the traffic. They didn t create enough crosswalks to get to campus so people are attempting to cross dangerously now. The road next to it is incredibly busy and people have to turn really fast off of it, which is normal, but the pedestrian crossing is put so close to the entrance from the main road that if someone was crossing youd have to slam on the brakes immediately after turning off of that busy road. There is no room for error there. The fire alarm and door alarm systems do not work properly and go off constantly for no reason. Week one the doors did not shut on their own and they had to fix that. Every morning there is some kind of electronic box in the lobby that is beeping very loudly. There is nobody monitoring my building so when the door alarm is going off for no reason it is up to the students to call someone to fix it, who to call, we have no idea. The stove burners were broken when installed, they DID NOT BUILD A PANTRY IN ANY KITCHEN, the thermostat is insanely confusing, the dryer came fully broken and unusable, the dishwasher is too small, there are no door hooks, there is no storage space in the bedroom besides dresser and closet, there is no bathtub and the shower doesn t have enough shelf space to fit much of anything, there is no sprayer for the sink, my entry code to my room stopped working completely randomly after a week of living there.

When you have these problems there is nobody to call about it. It baffles me that they would not require the appliances to be tested after installing them. They did this in a huge rush, I know this because the stores that were advertised to be in the development are not even built yet. When I got there a week before move in they were still building the sidewalks. A mess

I ve been with RISE for 3 years; and never could I have imagined being able to work with such a great group of people every day. Each person here at RISE has a great personality and are always willing to help a fellow team member when needed. The culture within the office is more of a family environment and I couldn t ask for anything more. I love that here at RISE there is a strong focus on faith as well as being active with giving back to not only our community in our back yard, but to other communities as well. We live by our words Love. Serve. Care

I wish I could give negative stars. Their property in Tuscaloosa, AL constantly has safety issues and their online payment system HAS STOLEN HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS from me in a state where I have no recourse for unjust late fees that were levied on me as a result of THEIR SYSTEM constantly canceling recurring payments with no notice.

They say the card was declined every time, but they very much are still active.

Avoid them and their properties

By far the best company I have ever worked for. Everyone is more like family. If your immediate family goes through a loss or gain, your Rise family goes through it also. My son recently graduated as a US Marine from Parris Island, the pride is felt in everyone at Rise. When I had my daughter 3 years ago, my Rise family gained a new family member! I am definitely blessed to work here!

Super-friendly people! They have a corporate chef that should be world-famous! She is amazing!

I wanted to share my experience with RISE Real Estate Company. Since 1995, I have been the President and CEO of ProCollect, a national collection agency. I work with property management companies on a daily basis. I have an inside perspective because I work directly with onsite staff and upper management which gives me a first hand view of how they run their properties. I personally get to witness good and bad companies. RISE and it's management team are easily one of the best I've encountered. RISE and ProCollect have been partners since 2011 with Courtney Gordon, Senior Vice President as my direct contact. He has always been fair, yet demands the best from my company. He has no problem letting me know if we come up short or thanking me with a job well done. I work with most the RISE Managers and Regional Managers, I attend their yearly company retreats and I'm happy to say, all love the atmosphere, moral and career potential of the company.

I had the pleasure of working for this company for two years. I will forever be grateful for what I've learned while there. The best part were my bosses and the company as a whole. Whenever I had questions, there was always someone readily available to help me. Even with helping me with Maternity leave, I was so stressed out trying to figure it all out and all of the paperwork involved. Carl, Brett, and Samantha made me feel such at ease with all the help and updates. Samantha even called me multiple times to make sure I was ok and wanted to see pictures of my newborn. That's extremely hard to come by working for any company!
I was extremely heart broken when I found out the property I was working at was being bought out. I will never find another job like UC !!!!!

Truly a stand-out company! RISE is laser-focused on their mission, which is to improve lives, to impact people, positively one person at a time. It takes great skill to develop beautiful properties while simultaneously developing special people. The company has a strong emphasis on loving, serving, and caring, and it shows forth in the way each employee embodies this motto. In such a self-centered culture it is good to see an others-centered organization. A great asset to the city of Valdosta!

Hi , I'm a resident at the student housing complex 112 Courtland and I've been subject to so many unethical things that are not supposed to be permitted or happening at this student residency . They permit drug trafficking , prostitution and theft here . These things are happening on a daily along with shootings and armed robbery . The rent for my apart is $1100.00 for one single room and $90.00 for parking in a gated garage and it's still not secured my car was robbed and broken into yesterday June 4th while security was there and was suppose to patrol the parking lot . I'm scared for any students that are moving in here . They don't know what they are getting into just like I didn't when signing my lease and getting stuck here . There are hundreds of tenants scared to complain because the management is so unprofessional and handle nothing properly . They don't handle any issues brought to them no matter what and they don't have proper security , surveillance ,or maintenance to maintain the building or keep residents safe . The drug trafficking is getting worse also . If this could be brought to attention soon because it's almost time to start back to school and so many people are signing leases not knowing what they are going to endure and that they are in serious danger moving here .
These are suppose to be student residency apartments not regular apartments therefore the things that happen here should not be happening . It's only getting worse and to report the thousands of students moving here should be notified .

Be warned this company is horrible !
