Quiubo (which I shall refer to as Q from here on out) is a restaurant and bar from the company and minds behind Bien Trucha, A Toda Madre, and the like. Of those three that I know of, I believe Q to have the best layout and ambiance while also maintaining the high standard for food that the company has made a name for themselves behind. The cocktails are deadly delicious, and extensive enough that everyone could find something they can call "their fave". I would say one of the best parts of visiting this restaurant is that the staff are knowledgeable and forthcoming in regards to not only the menu, but also guiding you through the experience itself as those who have not been to a place like this, so if you were worried that you had never been here before, do not. You are in good hands. Gracias!

Love the BienTrucha group. My first visit was for their Easter taco buffet and it was great. All of my favorites were on the buffet plus a few new delicious treats. Brunch cake with mimosas but the full bar menu of amazing margaritas was available. The restaurant is pretty and inviting; the food and drinks are amazing. Love it!!

I had a great time here. The food (steak tacos) were awesome! The food is shareable, which means you can try different things with your guests. The red snapper looked amazing, I'll try it next time. Staff was very nice and fast.

Expensive, but great food and cocktails. Not kid friendly. My husband and I had our baby with us and it was our first time going to a restaurant with her since she was born. We felt like they shoved us in the back and rushed us out (even though she was sound asleep in her carrier the whole time). We were excited to get out of the house and have a meal together, but their service kind of ruined the experience for us.

Small meant to be shared food. This is not your typical taco joint. Its higher priced, but you are paying for quality.

Swordfish tacos, octopus taco, along with more traditional fare. All in all it was very flavorful and delicious. I will go back again for sure.

Great Mexican food...probably the best in the Western Suburbs. Hip (but loud) environment. Service was a bit spotty initially but I think things are better after being open a few weeks. Be prepared to wait if you don't have reservations.

Quite simply the best Mexican gastropub in the Chicago market. All four of the Bien Trucha family of restaurants are hands down amazing. Food is exceptional, drinks are creative and exquisite, and the service is flawless. Rotating signature dishes, and very creative takes on classic Mexican street food. Quit reading, go eat. Trust me, you'll love it.

I come here often I actually like the food the service is nice as well, I did order desert and the first time it was brought out it wasn t cooked all the way still doughy gooey on the inside, the second time it came back out to me it was actually burnt. I felt like it was done on purpose becuase I sent it back the first time which made me uncomfortable with asking for a manager at that point. I just wanted a churro. :/ I didn t want it to be a big ordeal.

Food is different but good everything seems sweet. Menu is almost unreadable and vague on descriptions. It was fairly loud inside. I dont like purposely waiting on food when your hungry.....i should have waited that long or longer to pay the check. Not a fan of this concept. This restaurant would do well in Lakeview not in Naperville. Also not one Mexican beer on draft. Management has a take it or leave it attitude...they really dont care.

All the people around me got the drink , chips nobody came and talk to me even after me coming in first. 20 min later I finally said something and it was just plain horrible after that. I never do reviews so that is saying a lot.

The food was very good and original, though the serving was small. The service was excellent, friendly helpful and attentive. The decor rivals any similar restaurant in Chicago. I'll definitely return.

Great atmosphere and super friendly staff, waiter and food runners kept up with multiple taco orders seamlessly and always kept our drinks refilled . Gorgeous clean restaurant in the new water street district. As good as the food at sister restaurant bien trucha.

Modern Mexican in downtown Naperville. Worst thing about this place is that they charge for $6 for 2 spoonfuls of salsa! $10 for guacamole, which is delicious and small quantity. Worth the experience for sure. Prices seemed much higher than many modern Mexican restaurant in Chicago!!

This was our second time. First time I went for a mother's day brunch. Really love their twist to Mexican food while still keeping the authentic flavors alive. Not very impressed with the cocktail menu though.

One of my favorites! Great variety and menu selection. Love the outdoor dining atmosphere! Only negative is it is a little loud and can be hard to hear conversations at times depending on where you are in the restaurant.

The wait was long, the food was mediocre and over priced and they continously brought us plates that weren't ours which made the whole experience stressful. Not to mention the table next to us complained non stop about their food coming too slow. Very disappointing. We love the Bein Trucha in Geneva. This place isn't even a close second.

It is one of my favorite places in suburbs. Me and my husband come here nearly every weekend. Their menu is very creative. The service is always great, food is fresh and full of flavors. Love the modern interior, setting, music and mostly the food & drinks. Must try are: tuna tostada, flautitas, tilapia taco and lovely strawberry-basil cocktail. For a sweet tooth - a classic churros.

Another nice mistake between me and my husband. We were looking for Plank and since we park in the new water street district and it started raining! So we decided to come here instead.
I think the restaurant is small, the tables are too close to each other that I feel you can join the conversation to whoever is sitting right next to you lol! They dont have kids menu so I suggest to leave kids ages 4 and under. The chip and guac is very delicious! I had the Bien trucha and barbakoa tacos, drinks and dessert. I cannot remember all the other food that we tried. I love the fact that you can share the plates!
Price is a bit on a high side, my husband and I spent almost $100+. I was thinking their set-up was the same as The Girl and the goat, different food but the Stephanie Izard (owner of The girl and the goat) is named one of the best chef in Chicago. I don't think they are on the same level but their prices are close.
It doesn't mean we are not coming back! We love tacos, I guess we will be here like once a month or if I want that margarita!!!

My family went to Quiubo for lunch on Cinco de Mayo. It has a very nice decor and outdoor patio. We were a party of 4 and we were seated right away (once 3/4s of our party was there).

They offer a special guac and a market price fish dish that rotates every day. The food is small plates and you are expected to share with the table.

We ordered:
Free: chips and a bean dip when seated
Apps: Guacamole tradicional, -
Second plate: Quesadilla (2 pieces),
Side: esquites (corn). It's on the sweeter side
Tacos: bientrucha taco & Pescado taco
Dessert: Churro- This was so good. It was almost like a donut with a caramel sauce and ice cream on top.

We also asked for a spicy sauce and the server gave us the seranno salsa, normally served with the pork belly tacos (50 cents extra). The items were a "new" take on mexican food.

Drinks: We ordered "Ahuacatl" ( avocado & lime), Sangria, & Mangoneada, I thought the ahuacatl was my favorite. The amngoneada was really thick and the Tajin spicy only rimmed the outside of the cup.

We would definitely order the Ahuacatl, seranno salsa (so good), and the churros again.

Service: Our server was attentive and helpful. However, since this is a tapas style restaurant there would be multiple plates coming to our table, but the different server dropping off food would not take our finished plates, unless asked.

Accessibility:
There are no steps to enter with a two non-automatic doors at the entrance.

Seating: I did not notice any wheelchair specific seating. There's about 50% high seating and 50% booth/standard height tables. The restaurant is crowded, but still adequate space between tables.

Noise: The restaurant was very loud.

Light: We went at lunch and there was lots of natural lighting. Not sure about lighting in the evening.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a accessible stall and adequate space.

Excellent food, impeccable service and inviting ambiance. We tried the quesadillas, taco with avacado tempura and pineapple and aoili, and churros! The churro dessert was good but a bit underwhelming. Overall, highly recommended!

Totally digging the new approach and menu, but looking forward to being inside! The crew is super diligent about cleanliness and abiding by all the rules (which I love), so don't try to sneak in without a mask and don't worry about if your table is clean. You can take it off as soon as you get to your table. Only feedback is (as someone with hearing loss) it's hard to communicate with the team member at the register. Not sure if that's the general noise, or the Plexi barrier, or my hearing loss...likely a combo of all three...but I found myself asking her to repeat herself and having to tell back at her. Just all part of the new normal, right?

This is one of my favorite places in all of Naperville. I've been to Quiubo, Santo Cielo (my favorite Naperville bar), and Bien Trucha out in Geneva, and all of these are fantastic. I love the salsa sampler, with the Serrano being my favorite. The tacos are great, and I always get pulpo (octapus). They also have tequila and mezcal flights, and those are great as well. The place is a little on the pricey side, but it's absolutely worth it. Also, Quiubo is a small played style restaurant, so going with guests is fun and a just. I also like to finish up with a skillet churro with tequila sauce (I can't recall the name). I've been to Quiubo at least half a dozen times, and every time I'm looking for a night out in Naperville I make an effort to go.

I drove here to order take out since I could not order over the phone. When placing the order, I requested that everything be separated so the tacos did not get soggy on my 20 minute drive home. The chef flat out refused to do this. Why someone cannot separate meat from the shell when all the sauces and other things can be separated is terrible customer service and just plain lazy.

Especially during these times you would think places would be doing more to keep business going, but not at Quiubo. No ordering ahead of time (you have to order then wait 20-35 minutes) and the head chef refuses to accommodate a simple order request.

I go to this lovely spot many times a year! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I go to this spot many times. The food is very tasty, the crew is professional and the cost is reasonable. I enjoy being in this place over a good dinner.

I can't even describe the flavors right but I'll try. Smokey slightly creep-spicy chipotle and a quesadilla that looks like a taco, corns like a flouta and makes your tongue sing like Jennifer Lopez that one time on American Idol . Yeah that good. And Negra Modelo, the craft beer of Mexican beers. Hip.

Good flavor but as one reviewer said, portion size is small. They no longer have taco dinners with four and reduced to two. Two is a snack considering how small so have to order more so more $. Maybe that s the intention? If their portion sizes were better and/or pricing proportionate to what you get, it would be a higher rating.
