Creased 2 signed/ priceless prints of mine when they framed them. I emailed them photos of the creases. They immediately went on the offensive and accused me of creasing them myself. Then they wanted me to drop them back off and leave them there so they could spend another 3 days waiting to assess them.

Not stoked.

I went to Quick Art Frames a few years ago and the reason I'm writing this now
is because I'm just finding out that they destroyed a 150 year old Japanese Wood Block Print.
A friend recommended them so I figured I'd at least go talk to them. I went in and specifically asked - Do you know how to mount a very delicate print that's 150 years old with out using glue? He told me yes and showed me some examples that were in the store. So they framed it, everything looked professional. Just last week a fellow artist asked me about the print - What are all the stains on the print? Since I see it everyday I never payed attention to it. I took it off the wall and to an actual professional framer that only works with professional artist. He removed the brown paper from the rear, pulled out the print only to find it stuck to the mat board.
ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING!!!
Not only did they use glue but double sided tape as well!
And it can't be removed without tearing a hole in the print. The stains turned out to be the glue that they used. So this piece has gone in value from a $5000 piece of irreplaceable art to a piece of toilet paper you wipe your A#$ with. How stupid do you have to be to put double sided tape on a very delicate 150 year old piece of art?

Instead of sending the frames and hardware unassembled, these frames came already put together. The cardboard box weighed more than the frames. I guess that's why shipping was $50 DOLLARS!
I had to disassenble the frames entirely in order to frame watercolor paintings. Even the wiring was already attached - so that the pictures would hang vertically - which did not help because I have two horizontal landscapes to frame. So I had to buy MORE hanging hardware (their hangers were imoveable) AND wire - for which I had already paid. Finally, for the price, I expected better quality frames.
