I took my brother and his kids ages 10 and 11 here who haven't ridden bikes for a few years and they were very nervous cyclists to begin with but with the perfect bike set up and trails on offer they left full of confidence and stating it was the best day ever. My brother will now be buying them bikes!

If you are driving a van with the Quench UK logo all over it, you probably shouldn't be sounding your horn at drivers, or cutting people up and nearly causing an accident. If the customer care at Quench UK is anything like the driving, I wouldn't bother.

Super friendly and helpful shop. Busiest day of the year so far and they gave us a spare bolt for a MTB chain ring and helped fit it for no charge. Looked like good quality hire bikes too. Thanks!

Took my bike in for a simple bleed of the front brake and the next thing I know is that my brake lever needs replacing due to it being broken. No explanation to how it happened! - I will never leave my bike with them again!

Blown away! Took three top spec bikes out for guided demos back to back, and wow what a day! Helped me enormously to make a decision on bike and the customer service and knowledge of the staff was simply extraordinary.
Well done Quench, you breath life into bike retail, and showcase your bike manufacturers at the highest level.

Visited Bedgebury last weekend for one of my nieces birthday. Hired bikes from Quench, we gave their e-bikes a go. They were amazing, never seen my niece smile so much. Anyone reading this needs to hire an e-bike from Quench and tick it off your bucket list, you wont be disappointed.

Dave, Emma and their team are always helpful and knowledgeable.

I have just bought my second bike from them and they were happy to discuss my options for my type of bike use and let me have a free trial ride before buying.

I always get my bike serviced there to a good standard.

From the bike shop there is access to the Mountain Bike and Family trails and the visitor centre and cafe is just behind the shop.

Go team Quelch!

Just want to shout out some great feedback for Sam in the maintenance shop at Quench Cycles.

Yesterday my (pretty new!) bike dropped its rear axle bending my rear disc and jamming the back wheel.

Knocking on the door for help Sam was just brilliant and took it into the shop returning it literally minutes later in working order and I got a ride in - unbelievable skills.

Really professional and really friendly at a time when I was in a bit of shock to be honest.

Thanks very much Sam and the Quench team. Great customer ambassador and motivates me to be a loyal customer in return

Really good bikes for hire at reasonable prices. Didn't have any problems at all with my bike. I like however that if there was a problem they would come out and find you to sort or replace the bike. Good service.

Just this moment walked in the door from Bedgebury with the two kids and the trailer but certainly wouldn't have been here for some hours yet had it not been for the help of the team in the bike shop - BIG favour done on a very, very busy afternoon and all the guys there gracious and unhurried despite the boys running around like madmen. Really got me out of a fix, great team, great top man. Thanks.

My wife and I had a really good experience at quench cycles. They are well organised and had a one way system operating through the shop with social distances adhered to. This goes a long way to make you feel that bit safer when your out and about. Really helpful and friendly staff and good bikes. Thank you.

Pricing is expensive and the staff on during a Sun...

Pricing is expensive and the staff on during a Sunday afternoon weren't quite on the ball. Our group of 10 hired bikes for 2 hours but over 20mins of that (yes they were counting) was taken up sorting out our payments and bikes.
People were queue jumping at the tills and their system of moving available bikes from one rack to another to mark them as hired would have been fine if they all fit in there. In our case two didn't. I volunteered to stay outside the office and watch the two extra bikes so they weren't rehired while the group paid. The gentleman who hired me my own bike not 60 seconds before, at the spot I was still standing in, next to the bike he'd hired me, came and grabbed the bike to rehire it. I stopped him and said I was just holding onto it while the group paid. Not a problem, he said. Another member of staff did the same 20 seconds later, but he wasn't to know any different. I told him what I was doing. Then another half minute passed and the first guy came back again. I literally hadn't moved. He tutted slightly and moved on. Then the second guy came back shortly after, tried to take the bike. I told him I'd hired it. He huffed and said it should be in the other rack, noticed it was full and said "well you should be staying with it then" to me.. as I stood between the crossbars of two bikes, in adjacent racks.
I'm unsure how I was still in the wrong for doing what he suggested!

All in all, bedgebury was a lovely place, the parking is too expensive. Disguising it as en entrance fee doesn't help. If you cycled or walked there you wouldn't have to pay.
Bike hire was also on the steep side but we knew that before we went. Just wish the experience got off to a better start.

Friendly efficient staff but unfortunately today the bikes we hired were not great. We've hired in the past and the bikes were really good so we decided to hire despite having our own bikes. Luckily we only ended up hiring for one hour (due to closing times) and not the two I had planned as the seat was so uncomfortable I would of had to return it. Sadly spoilt the ride for us.

Have been visiting Bedgebury and using Quench cycles for over ten years now as a summer enrichment activity with Charles Darwin School. Absolutely fabulous service from these guys, very friendly, accommodating and the instructors they offer with the school kids, when off mountain biking the red trails, pitch the day's challenges just perfect. Thank you and we look forward to catching up next summer.

Great cycle shop with super enthusiastic staff that live and breathe mountain bikes, and the shop stocks all the right brands.

Had the shockWiz suspension tuning kit rented out for the day (mega value for money, try it) all the staff were well trained in using it.
I had the setup on the forks done for first lap done up by one member of staff and then Jonhny (sorry if I've misspelled your name) set the shockWiz to measure the rear shocks performance.
The results were explained in great detail to me and suggestions made to improve the performance of the suspension.

Message to the owners,

Impressive, Ihad a great day and really nice to have somewhere like this to turn to.

Thank you

The bike my partner hired was dangerous. The gears didn't work properly and the brakes were so sharp she nearly came over the handlebars. I even had to argue for a refund. I'll go back to Bedgebury but not to Quench. Overall: overpriced, poor quality and tragic customer service.

From the bikes, helmets and shoes we've bought there, to being rescued after a bit of a crash, the people at Quench have always been consistently friendly and helpful.

I don't mind buying some bike stuff online, but I think helmets, shoes and most importantly bikes should always be bought from a real shop like this because good advice and aftercare is worth more than people realise.

Their demo days are particularly useful too - some great bikes to try and the trails to try them on.

They're not just salespeople - they are real enthusiasts, and that shows.

I was presented with a choice..... to purchase my Whyte S120 from a large multi branch bike shop 1.2 miles from my home OR with Quench Cycles, 131 miles away! I chose Quench. Why? I felt from the moment I phoned to make enquiries, these guys really want your business, they want to help, and nothing is too much trouble. Service levels are bang on, it is like going back in time when shop owners actually cared about their customers. This ethos stems from the top, well done David. They went to great lengths to get me the bike just before the lockdown, opening up especially for me due to my distance. Thank you Sam, Rob, Emma and David. Great TEAM effort!

I am extremely pleased with the helpful service I got from quench cycles. I went through on very short notice to have have my two mountain bike wheels converted to tubeless. Unfortunately their supplier had been unable to deliver the sealing fluid. I must admit that I was a bit grumpy at having trecked through from my hometown and the thought of now having to return home with the prospect of not wanting to use the bike in case of getting stuck with a 24 kg machine with a flat tire.

However Quench came to the rescue and completed the job in 20 minutes, after having broken open two tubeless kits to get sealant for the tyres.

I shall certainly use them for all my servicing as I would imagine they will have lots of experience servicing their hire fleet; and being located at Bedgebury, I could have a ride before and after the service, even if it were a few days apart.

Staff are always friendly and really helpful, a great shop to rent from for a day out on the local trails or for advice when it comes to buying kit. When I had an issue with my own bike, which I hadn't even bought from Quench they helped me get it back up and running with no issue and at no charge. Fully recommended

Excellent first class service from Quench Cycles yesterday. I had a couple of issues with my bike; gear and headset related. Popped into the shop to see if anything could be done before my ride. Sam checked my bike over, told me what was causing the issues and quickly put it right, now my bike is running far better than it ever has before, I was very impressed.
Can't recommend these guys enough, friendly and very knowledgeable

A great place to hire a bike to hit the trails. Even there cheapest bikes are great quality. Hydraulic brakes, dropper post and 1x gearing. There is a selection of helmets and gloves etc to purchase, plus some good quality bikes for sale. Dont expect chep low quality from here, all the bikes are good makes and specifications.
If you are an annual bedgebury member you can get free membership to Quench membership too. This gives discount in the shop and hire, it also allows free use of the bike wash in non Covid times.

Staff were helpful. I hired a bike towards the end of the day - first one I took out didn't have the gears working so back I went, and then got one with a seized pedal so back that went. It took about 20 mins to get a working bike but the staff were apologetic and really helpful with sorting it out. Really enjoyed the ride and would use them again.

Took 40 Y7-10 pupils to Quench at Bedgebury Forest as part of an activity week. The 2 hour guided ride was excellent - accessible to a group of mixed ability students with lots of challenge but loads of fun. The guides were brilliant with the kids - not only did they help teach them about mountain biking but they also educated them about the forest and its surroundings. The bikes and equipment provided were of high quality and the customer service was first class. Any large groups looking for a fun day out, then this is for you! Highly recommended

We love the fact that the bikes are very good quality and we thought the hire price was pretty reasonable for a couple of hours fun and exercise in the open.
The staff were so helpful getting us equipped and made sure we had a map of the forest and the tracks. The staff are always very good with our kids and you can book them to take a group of youngsters on a ride for fun or a party and they do fitness group rides for adults.
Though all the staff we have met there have been great, our favourite is Sam.
We didn't have any issues with our bikes or anything else, but they did say we could just give them a call and they'd come to get us if we had any problems which is nice to know (don't forget to take your mobile!)
Great fun, thanks Quench.
