Purple Place Bar & Grill Review

Nice place for easy eating. Friendly staff. Can get very busy at breakfast or other meal times.

This place was okay. I don't understand what all the hype was. Drinks were ok nothing special. It was good just not great. Expected so much more then what I got

This is a great place for happy hour if you and your friends live in the Folsom area. The atmosphere is a little divey, and the regulars prefer flannel, which makes sense for the area and is a breath of fresh air when comparing it to the suit and tie midtown bars. Yes, the parking looks weird, but rest assure that your car is parked properly if you're following others

OMG! Their New Grilled Artichoke appetizer is The Bomb!!!! Seriously! SO GOOD!!!

Took forever to get a seat the past two times I've gone. Before you walk in the door there was also a diaper laying on the ground which didn't smell all too great. The food is definitely the best part. Parking can also be an issue as it the lot can fill up pretty fast. All in all it's a decent place to go to brunch.

Great bar food and excellent service. Restaurant side needs to improve menu. Aside from bar food, only other offerings are steak and ribs. Ordered ribs and they did not have any. Settled for steak, expected a great steak for $24 but was disappointed to receive a small, fatty sirloin. Comparable to what one might expect from Denny's. Grilled veggies were over cooked and drab (obviously cooked hours ahead of time and reheated). The other side was "polenta", which is boiled corn meal. Who eats this stuff? It was flavorless and had the consistency of paste. Why not offer mashed potatoes or something more traditional and enjoyable? Very overpriced steak dinner.
Came in on Veteran's day to find that they did not offer any Veteran's appreciation discounts. Offered me a complimentary alcoholic drink, after already having ordered NA beer, which they did not have. Eventually they offered a complimentary desert, which is useless when I am there with 5 kids. That would just obligate me to buy 5 more overpriced desserts for the family.
Again, service was great and they were eager to please but still failed.

Will not be back.

This place is pretty awesome. The staff is friendly before and after their shifts. Didn't have time to stay and check out the night life here which seems very lively. I will be back.

The food is always good and hot. Large portions at a fair price. Friendly and courteous staff. Ann always makes our eating experience a pleasure. Large free parking area. Good coffee and cup always refilled without having to ask. Bar in the back for good drinks. Will be back at my first opportunity.

Burgers are great! If you request it rare, it comes out rare, which is a rare thing for restaurants to get right nowadays.

I had the Reuben and onion rings, absolutely delicious. Great service, clean facilities, and happy fun people. I heard this was a biker bar, but it's been updated and new management. They can help if you need vegetarian friendly, vegan options, or even gluten free options. Breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner.

Definitely looks like Gay bar from outside. Inside it has good food, good beer, friendly staff and lots of TVs.

It was great! We did a river rafting trip for work. We appointed someone to make dinner reservation for us as a company meal after company fun. He failed to find us an eatery. Luckily we had an extra team member from the area and the one place she couldn't complement more was The Purple Place. So we went.

The team ended up on the bar side, so I can't comment on the restaurant side. Some team members ordered drinks. They didn't show any complaints. Then we ordered food. We had a party of 20-ish? The waitress was wonderful. She juggled all of out separate Bill's and brought our food to us as quickly as she could.

The food was just right and cooked to order. There was a miscommunication on an order and without hesitation it was fixed.

I must say. If you're in the area and want something good to eat, stop in. Or... If you want a great atmosphere with a variety of people, stop in! You can't miss this place. Just look for the bright purple building!

Food and vibe of the place is a 12/10. Would 100% recommend this place for a night out. Will definitely be back soon.

Best place to eat and have a great dinner or lunch or a Drink. My favorite is the huge yummy chicken nachos. I always bring about 3/4 of them home and warm them in our air fryer and its so yummy. Honestly its the best place in Eldorado Hills.

Super food and service. Breakfast at the PP is an institution. Great burgers and other sandwiches. The bar is first rate sports type bar with live music occasionally. I haven't eaten dinner there. But, I would assume It's great, too.

The place makes some awesome food and I loved the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict !! Slurp !!

Very loud, which made conversation almost impossible. I had the pork belly bennedict. They had a great crust on the pork belly. Very tasty.

This place was so good. Everyone in our group of 10 agreed. I had the chicken fried steak, one of my go to meals. I loved it. The first rule is you should never have to use anything but a fork to eat it. It was fabulous! The gravy was delicious, the eggs were perfectly cooked and even the extra crispy hash browns (that I always order) were perfectly cooked. I will be back to try the other menu items.

I forgot to request extra crispy corned beef hash...still delicious, extra crispy would have made it over the top fantastical!!!! PS .. chicken fried steak...... superb!!!

I don't know why we don't go here more often. The food is outstanding and service is awesome! Their biscuits and gravy is KILLER. I love the menu too, but everything sounds so good it's hard to pick. I guess I just have to keep coming back and trying everything

I am ashamed to admit it. I have lived in Folsom for almost 20 years and I have only gone to the bar at the Purple Place and never tried the food. Man what was I thinking.. we stopped off one morning for breakfast since we have always been talking about it, and I am so glad we did. Service was great the food was amazing. I got the Elbdorado omelette and man was the eggs fluffy.. the veggies cooked perfectly. Best omelette I have ever had. We will be back but next time we will be trying a burger.

The food was great. the staff was very friendly. but it took forever to get served. we waited almost an hour to see food after we ordered. This is a good place for a night out with your girlfriend or to take your family for breakfast lunch or dinner, but they really could use some updating on the interior.

Great place for good food, great time , but isn't that clean. Over all defently a 4 star.

Went here on Boxing Day (December 26) for brunch, and despite the crowd we still had a great time. My coffee cup was consistently refilled, and my Greek omelet was very tasty.

Went there today while getting work done at Firestone and the staff at the purple place was wonderful. The food was amazing, the prices were good and the wait time was so short for the food. I was shocked when my food was done and fresh and hot. The waitress was extremely helpful and I had a wonderful experience here.

Went to the bar, drinks weren't that expensive. The environment was friendly and so were the staff.

Good breakfast, and very dog friendly. Always a pleasure to sit on the patio in fine weather with the dogs.

Classic roadhouse bar and grill that seems to get better with age. Menu is constantly evolving and the staff is friendly and attentive. Their wings are amazing.

Best Chicken Fried Staeak you will ever find anywhere. Nice place to get on your Harley and stop for breakfast and have a morning cocktail.
