Purple Place Bar & Grill Review

The food was so good and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. They have a cafe side and a sports bar side so whatever the reason you want to enjoy, you can.

Good food and decent portions but price a bit on the higher end.

First time for me at the purple place quiet night greeted promptly waitress was excellent took order quickly kitchen was fast..
Had the signature bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries excellent cooked perfectly.. appetizer was fire grilled artichoke which blew my mine... Oh yeah be duplicating that for sure ... Spicy bloody Mary really good an Strong...

I will be coming back soon for sure.

Enjoyed the food and service will return again.. My first time visit

Came here for the first time at lunch time with my grandma awhile ago. All the staff was extremely polite. A young guy who bussed tables outside and had his arms full of dishes stayed and held the door for Grandma as she made her way at her adorable-grandma-snail's-pace up to and inside the restaurant, even though I'd have been perfectly capable of getting the door myself. I sincerely appreciated that. Aside from that, the food was good (I wouldn't say "Omg I would eat here every single day," AMAZING type of good, but I have nothing to complain about and have only tried a couple menu items so far) and came out pretty quick, and our server was very nice. The menu isn't huge and overwhelming and sometimes that's a nice change of pace. It's a small simple place, and we came and it was pretty quiet. All in all a good simple place to eat with a nice homey feel.

I had to wait about an hour between putting in my order and getting my food. That is the only drawback of my experience here, as every other aspect was on point. I had the El Dorado omelet and half of the basic cheeseburger my wife had. Everything was so delicious. I was looking forward to my next visit while I was still there.

Cool place to have a drink and a bite (ok, a hunger like no other because these plates are HUGE!!) after a nice drive in the hills.

Service is always great, something on the menu for everybody. Price is very reasonable.

We got take out Reubens-2 orders. I called at 11:20 and was told they don't start lunch until 11:30, but could pick them up at 11:45. (Not sure why they couldn't make them 10 minutes sooner, but ok.) When we got them, one was burnt on one side, overgrilled. The other was barely toasted at all. Very inconsistent. There wasn't as much saurkraut as I did have liked either. They were expensive ($27 for the 2) and disappointing. We've had other positive experiences there too, but this one was not good.

Jose was really great and gave us stellar service during a really busy time of day. Food is exceptionally good!

Love the music being played, and the waiter was very friendly and the service was great. Definitely going back.

I took my co-worker here for breakfast as he had not yet had the pleasure of dining here. I do mean pleasure. We both had chicken fried steak and eggs. It's my staple. As usual the food was ever so tender and delicious. The proportions are... well HUGE. This could easily be a two person meal.
I eat here on a regular basis and swear by it. I haven't had lunch here in years but it was always equally as delicious. This is by far one of my favorite dining venues for breakfast. Service is always spot on and attentive. Very friendly staff. That being said, I do enjoy eating breakfast out at least twice a month. I am one of those who will drive long distances for a great experience. A lot of restaurants I used to eat at have just gone down hill over time. This place continues to shine. Hopefully they keep it up. I love this place.
* Although I have not eaten these items my friends have. Salmon benedict, hash and of course omelets. They have the same to say about their experiences as well. This is a go to restaurant.

Awesome country fried steak but get the gravy on the side, the steak will stay crispy and the gravy will stay hot in the bowl and you can add the amount you want with each bite.

Delicious absolutely Delicious food and drink. Very welcoming eatery. I don't want go hint the idea I am picky or anything but I know a good eatery after I have tasted their food. And this is it. Bartender made me a blue colored alcoholic Adult beverage (hehe) that was out of this world. It's not a matter if I will stop in again, I Will stop again. Comprende

This place has the best breakfast. I come here all the time with my friends and family and I always get the waffles and they are bomb. They also have some great eggs and hot chocolate.

The food is great, multiple screens to view the hottest sport event of the day. If yours isn't on ask and you just make might get to see it! Servers are friendly and helpful!

Always Good Drinks, Good Food, Good Bartenders all Staff were helpful accommodating were friendly happy people. They were super busy because power outage and Sunday and football!! They handled it like PROS! Only bad part is parking is hard there!

Decent sports bar, but nothing special. Typical bar menu and drink selection. If you want to watch a game and you're in this part of El Dorado Hills, it's worth dropping by - but no need to go out of your way to visit this place.

Purple Place is my go to for a decent hearty breakfast. There will always be a wait on the weekends but it is worth it. The Bloody Mary here is delicious and the homemade biscuits and gravy are to die for.

The place has friendly help. This place use to be better I thought. I loved red-skin potatoes. No more. Deep fry just like brookfields. Places need to quit being in such a hurry and think about what they are serving.

This review is mostly for their breakfast, as that seems to be my only interaction with Purple Place. Have been the multiple times for breakfast and have not had a bad experience. The omelets are delicious and the service is extremely friendly and attentive.

Very friendly staff! Stayed there for 3 hours cause of a meeting and the staffs are very caring the whole time. Service is also good and fast and do not have to wait more than 30 mins for your order to get to you! Convenient parking, clean and good food!

Excellent service, great bloody mary! Corned beef hash Benedict was really good, lots of beef and Canadian bacon. Huevos rancheros best I've had, great red sauce!

Hometown feel, great place for breakfast, but delicious food any time of the day. I do really like their burgers! Sometimes the restaurant area is closed and customers are directed to sit in the bar area. Friendly service and if you're not in a rush, this is a good place to eat with friends and family.

A very livly place to eat. A lot of different people eat here. Place is really big with dogs. So feel free to bring yours. They will actually bring out a water bowl for your dogs. As for the food, it wasn't bad. I only got a burger. I would definitely go back there to eat again.
