Great selection (though sold out of a few items), fresh and tasty, well priced and great service with a smile. Recommended.

The bouncers kick people out in order to get their friends in. Would never enter this pub again in my life. Disgusting service if you tell me.

Food was cold, low quality.. you get what you pay for I guess.. they gave my daughter raw chicken.. noticed half way through her meal. Pure pink on the inside. Disgusting.

Discriminated against a New Brunswick ID. Were really mean about it. Would not even serve a glass of water. Said they would "give it back this time". Real ID that I use everywhere else. Went to Morty's instead.

Guinness beef pie, probably the best 6$ I have ever spent in my life. I can't think of a better place to spend money for food in the KW region. If you really want the best food while on a budget and walk away feeling full I definitely recommend the pub on king. We also ordered the Guinness brownie bites and they were free because it took them a little longer to bring them out, service was amazing though, we didn't even say anything, instead they just gave us the brownies! 10/10 Would dine again!

What can u say about every food item on the menu being the same price? How about great. The portions are just the right amount. Hot and very tasty. Can get loud with the U of W crowd in on a Friday night. Service is great.

Food was very reasonable and service was pretty quick. I got the fish and chips and felt a little sick the rest of the night, though.

7 dollar schooners are a great deal on Wednesdays. However, they closed the bar at 1215 which was quite disappointing and early.

For the price, the food is pretty good and tasty. Burgers are pretty standard, most of the bowls/plates are a reasonable amount of food although you won't be taking any home. Lots of good deals on beer.

Lovely bar with great food. Went on Sunday for the wings special after 8pm. The beer was average price,but the wings were 1.75 per pound. Will definitely be back again for this deal.

Closes early if it's not at capacity and gives patrons a 5 minute warning to finish their drinks, then doesn't allow them to do such

I SAW A BOUNCER ASSULT SOME GUY HE DID NOTHING, all he did was walk into the doorway and the stupid bouncer went on a power trip and pushed him down the road all the way it was so dusting

Bad service, too crowded, you have to pay $5 just to be able to get in, and that's in cash only, you have to throw your bottle of water out just to be able to get in (capitalism, anyone?), music is way too loud (your hearing might be impacted if you stay there for too long). Stay out. Although I gotta say they have a Bitcoin ATM. That's the only thing worth it in there.

Casual bar with $5.95 for all food! I would recommend this place if you're on a budget since both the drinks and food are reasonably priced, and had a Waterloo cozy atmosphere!

Great price. Salmon Cajun burger was awesome. Fast and polite service- just as quick as a fast food place but healthier and tastier.

Waiter spilt a full Caesar on my buddies shirt, I got a hair in my food, and I didn't even get my fettuccini Alfredo that I ordered... all that being said, the manager waived my food bill which was probably 30-40$. Later on in the night when the dj came on I got kicked out by 11 for opening the back door to talk on my phone with a beer.. all the BS aside, the food that I did receive was pretty good considering nothing was over 6$. The dj and atmosphere was all around enjoyable also.

Cheap, high quality food and service. Can't beat it. Lots of comfortable seating, TV placement is poor for sports watching but can be done. Drink menu doesn't have prices which is a big annoyance though. Gets extremely packed on Thursdays and Saturdays so you have to get there super early or have fun in line.

The Pub on King is a great place to watch sports and mingle with students. However, I primarily visit for their $6 meal specials. It s the best deal in Uptown Waterloo! Options include: wings, nachos, dips, burgers, sandwiches, bangers and mash, fish and chips, etc. Oh, and their cocktails are also cheap, and pretty good! Ps Arrive early so you get a booth. The tables at the Center aren t too comfortable, especially since the lighting is so bright there.

Great pub for a cheap night out! Good beer selection and the $5 food menu left us surprised with larger portion sizes than we would have expected for that price! The various staff we've had here have always been great and very friendly. When we're looking to have some drinks and food without breaking the bank, this has become our "go to" place thanks to the $5 food menu!

Great value for your money. Large selection and serving all for just over 5 dollars.

I don t necessarily dislike pub on king, the prices are good and the food/drinks are good for the price, however if you go to the place after 8pm there s a fair chance the service will be terrible. On two separate occasions I went with friends, ordered drinks, and they never came after 40-50 minutes of waiting. Even after notifying another server nothing happened so we just left.
I really do want to give a higher rating, but service is just terrible at night.

Food keeps getting smaller and worse quality. Alcohol is expensive compared to similar places. It's an awkward mix of a pub and a club.

Cheap drinks and food is 5$. Generrally College crowd. Weekends, I think it turns into a night club after 10pm. Good vibes to enjoy with friends. Parking is very limited at the back.

Food and beer was good. Staff was awesome. Whole bar was infested with tiny flies. The men's washroom was disgusting and tiny flies covering the walls.

I admittedly would go insane if I had to go during the school year, but this place is phenomenal when there is no line up to go inside. Even sober, the food is incredible. If you are not a vegetarian, I recommend the loaded potato skins.

There seemed to be only 3 servers worker during dinner, so unfortunately service was slow. But our waitress was nice and food was good.

Great food overall. But anytime you call them they never answer. I called 15 times in a row and not once did someone pick up, most frustrating thing about the place when you want to pick up.

To be fair this was during Christmas break when Waterloo is slow. However, after being told that they had a limited menu (understandable) the food and service was slow. I don't blame the staff for this as it appeared they were understaffed. The food was nothing special. Decent beer selection.

By far cheapest wings in Waterloo, but not a huge fan of the quality or tiny quantity. Extremely small and dry. Honestly, I'd just spend the money and get higher quality food. It might even end up being the same price for the meat.

That said, there's an awesome vibe here. Service is great. Unfortunately TVs weren't working, but I love watching poker when it's available. Drinks are reasonable.

Some of the bouncers here have some SEVERE aggression and excessive force issues. Got into a screaming match with another girl at the bar, and ended up getting an elbow to the face, countless bruises across my arms and stomach, and broken glasses costing $200 to fix. All this at the hands of a bouncer over twice my size who felt the need to mount a full assault to defuse the situation.

Bomb food, for 6$!!! Service gets better everytime I go, but at one time was brootal.
