Waited 20 minutes for a drink and the bartender didn't even give the right change and ignored me when I tried to speak to her

How can you go wrong with $5.95 food? Love the simplicity of the menu (with literally everything costing $5.95) however some of the menu descriptions give you a bit of a bad impression in terms of what you actually end up getting. Not to say it's not worth the money because it totally is, but some dishes should have more specific descriptions

Was good. Had the pub burger. Bit and fries were really good. Good prices too. I'd go there again.

They do not know how to deal with young people with mental health issues

Pub on King is a great lively place. They take reservations for larger groups. The food and drinks are affordable. They usually have live music at peek times.

Cheap food and drink! Great for lunch, dinner, and catching up with friends. Lots of on tap options, and okay food (although 0 conplaints with the price being 5.95 for anything on the menu).

The only downside is if you are looking for a bite to eat and a conversation dont hang around much after 9 it turns into a very young university centric scene.

Service is always slow but food is cheap and there is a lot of drink selection. Food is hit or miss in quality.

Whether you want to catch the game with your buds or enjoy a night of drinks and dancing Pub offers it all. Not to mention, you can spend $10 and get a quality meal with good portions. But it's ultimately the service and staff that make this the gem of Waterloo!

Atmosphere is the only hold back here. Food is good, prices awesome (beer prices average). We like to come when it is quieter.

Great place to get some great pub food! Bartender was great and made me a special drink that wasn't even on the menu but was able and willing to make it anyways which is awesome customer service I would say! Nachos were absolutely awesome and the potato skins were huge with TONS of cheese and other toppings! Very clean and slightly higher-end atmosphere which is a very nice feeling! I will most definitely be going back here again the next time that I am in the area! Cheers!

My friends and I went for a birthday and we had a great beginning to the night, the servers were great but my one friend was enjoying himself and decided to yell along with the music and apparently that is NOT accepted by the security because immediately 3 of them went after him and took him outside aggressively and ripped his shirt until me and another female friend screamed at them to let him go and we left. It was all over absolutely nothing and we have decided to SPREAD THE WORD AND NEVER GO BACK. Go to DALLAS for a good time...

You really can't beat the deals here. $6 for EVERYTHING. That includes fish and chips, curry, wings, sandwiches, burgers, Mac and cheese, the list goes on. If it's pub fare, it's here.
They have $0.25 wing nights on Sundays which is the best deal (with a drink of course), but be wary, the wings aren't that big and the past couple times I didn't get the wing flavours that I ordered. It's a get-what-you-pay-for scenario though, so I'm never too picky. Outside wing night, the service is great, fast, and very delicious. I've enjoyed everything on the menu.

Dance floor isn't that big, the servers can be slow on busy nights but that's expected. Most people come for the drinks at the bar and the music anyways. Also Tuesday is their cheep beer night, if you're into that.

Went here on Wing Night Sunday, not a busy night but the wait was still a little long. The wings themselves are really small, but for the price ($3/lb) it was pretty good value. Need to buy a drink to get the promotion. The sauces used on the wing were really tasty. Potato skin app was not worth it, but the poutine was great (loved the gravy!)

I don't normally review, but I had to voice the wonderful experience we had here: Went with my girlfriend on Saturday night, everywhere else we went was very busy so we were surprised by how quickly we were seated. Our server was friendly and didn't bat an eye at our strange requests, didn't check in too often nor too little. The food was great, we started with wings, my girlfriend usually isn't crazy about wings but she LOVED them (we got the Crown Royal sauce), I had a burger and fries, which came on a nice fluffy and hot bun, she had pulled pork and said it was great, which I tried and can confirm. The only thing that wasn't great was the lack of choice for desserts (a sundae and apple crisp, if I remember correctly). Tl;dr, good food, great price, would recommend and will return.

Previous owner did not have there patrons pay for parking behind the building. New owner opted out with the city to allow patrons to park for free while spending money at there restaurant. That's fine I use to be a loyal customer, not any more, I will not eat or drink their again. Everyone head over to the Duke of Wellington.

We arrived and sat down as a table of 7. Waited for close to half hour. No service. No acknowledgement. Sad. We left and went to another local restaurant. Step your game up Pub on King.

Just an ordinary pub. The food is ok. The customer service is average. Considering that there are many other places in uptown, not the ideal place for a meet up

I ve been to this bar a few times, but this night was so different. I have never been treated so well before. Someone told me the bartenders nick name was Nate the great but that seems to be an understatement. Nate is probably the most genuine and reliable bartender at this pub. Buddy could not do wrong! Fantastic service and a great night

Wow! Zero responsibility paid my bill, was served accordingly and was kicked out out told I was wrong and treated like garbage. They should probably act like a good business and serve their patrons accordingly,

All plates at $5.98, all day, is super value! French fries were delicious - the best flavour, perfect texture, with 3 quality options of English pub fish plates. Really loved it. - The missing star was both servers lack of knowledge of menu & beer pricing & sizing, that really slowed & confused first half hour of attempting to get orders done. Manager stepped in & the orders came through accurate to her descriptions.

Three times I've tried to return with new groups since, but place has been too packed with large noisy events. I will keep trying. Great for a real pub style evening with friends!

Fun little place, great atmosphere. Arguably an improvement on The Fox which was great in its own right. Often packed and busy, a fun time.

A great place to go for a quick bite and a drink. The prices for apps are really good.

The food is standard pub fare. What makes them stand out is all of their food costs $5.95. I asked the waitress and there is no catch: all day, every day, $5.95. The Butter Chicken Curry tasted good and was a full size meal, it cost me $5.95 plus tax and tip. I will be going back a lot.

Love this place. Incredibly cheap and very good value. Sunday nights after 8PM are wings for $0.25 with a drink purchase. The wings on Sunday are shriveled and small but it's still a very good deal. The rest of the menu is amazing. Large portions (especially the burgers) and delicious. You just can't beat the price. The servers are also very welcoming and accommodating. The Pub on King is just a really great place for a comfortable meal.
