Pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ten years. Even the kickboard was moldy. And yet if you don't wear a mask you are breaking protocol. Please, somebody clean that pool and put fresh water in!
The Y has done a superb job of re-opening and keeping everyone safe. Spin classes are actually outdoors, but who know how long that will last. Everyone is checked when coming in the building.
Yes I really appreciate this place. it's unfortunate the restrictions that are going on now because of covid. Significantly reduced hours and not availability of the locker rooms.
The fitness equipment rooms are open, but you have to wear a mask.
I swim laps and work out with weights here. GREAT equipment and facilities, nice staff. The pool can get pretty crowded at times I like to swim but everyone is friendly and we all share lanes. The gym equipment is top notch from the weight machines to the treadmills etc. A really well run, quality YMCA at a good monthly price for the wife and I.
My family once had a membership to this YMCA & we Loved it. The kids were in gymnastics, the pool is awesome and we enjoyed the gym. It s a very nice facility with a friendly staff. Clean and affordable
Felt a little out of place, we have been camping in the area and needed a shower, this was the only place open to public to shower, the facility was very clean and beautiful, but people looked at us like we had the plague.
The facility is awesome, beautiful, I cant rate it higher because all i wanted was a shower, not a yoga class or workout. $10.00 for a shower is gouging. $5 is the going rate in every outdoor playground town I've been too, like Vernal, UT. and Moab. They both have community centers that rival Prescotts Y. For all of the great things about Prescott which i really love and visit every year, there is a definate shortage of campsights and shower options. Just sayin, but that won't keep me away, I love this town.
I had paid for a membership for a full year just so my son could use the gymnastics program and when it closed down for covid and my son could not use this facility the YMCA will not refund us for the time on his membership so my son my continue this year now's it's back open. What kind of people run this facility. I will be complaining to corporate!
Can I just say what a great job the aquatics staff has done during this very challenging time! They've been helpful, patient and professional. I especially appreciate the Aquatics Coordinator - Austin - who has been so kind in taking my phone calls and answering questions. He's been prompt, professional and always so kind. I have health conditions that are of great concern during this covid crisis. He and the whole staff at the YMCA pool have helped allay my fears and made it possible for me to get the exercise that I really need. Good job YMCA of Prescott!
