I have had 2 major surgeries here in the past several years and the staff has always been excellent - caring, compassionate and professional. The hospital was very serious about Covid and I felt very safe there. I highly recommend using their services!

The nurses in the nicu and picu were horrible. At least the ones I dealt with were. I hated this hospital and would never take my kids here for help. Train your nurses better . Don t hire them if they are liers un educated and just plain cold hearted! If they did what they did to my family to the wrong person I can imagine the law suit!

Ladies please beware. I was induced at pres st Luke's. I was resting and my arm went into a position where I was bleeding into my pitocin drip line instead of it going into my arm. The nurse, instead of running a new line, flushed it and put a huge dose of pitocin into my body all at once. This caused a contraction that nearly stopped my babies heart, and I ended up with an emergency C section. Thank god dr Faust was there to calmly and quickly deliver my baby. Even though the nurse was crying and apologizing as I was rushed out of the room and into surgery, the mistake was NEVER mentioned, brought up, discussed, nothing. I was so drugged up from my emergency c-section I didn't even remember what had happened until after i went home. I still have nightmares about the experience.

We had a wonderful experience at PSL. We couldn't be happier with the service and people we dealt with. However, we are having a TERRIBLE time trying to get a hold of medical records through their third party Health Information Manager, Richmond health information. For such a simple task, this company fails mightily. I would strongly suggest anyone, or doctor that needs records from this company, be diligent and push them constantly to get the records, especially if time is critical.

Our hospital experience during the birth of our daughter exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome, listened to, and cared for. We left feeling so informed about this new chapter of our lives and were so touched by the nursing staff and doctors that helped us during our stay. To top it off, the food service is something I miss every day! We felt totally at home at St Lukes and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere that gives prompt, personalized and reliable medical care. Could not thank you guys enough.

This place is a nightmare. Avoid it if you can. I had to travel 450 miles for a PET scan because of the ridiculous rules. When I arrived I requested the access my port instead of putting radioactive material through an IV (my port hurts less) I was told the nurse would be right down they were just finishing up with a patient. I waited 45 minutes and then I was told they were going to finish rounds. I was tired hungry and in pain. I'm not sure why it was so complicated to get a nurse in a hospital. It would've been a lot better if they were just upfront with me and said they don't have the time or desire to tend to me. They just don't care.

My wife had surgery at Pres St. Luke's on 1/16/2020, with Dr. Cynthia Kelly. The entire process, from our initial meeting, through on line check-in, instructions, directions, email reminders and any follow-up phone calls from the staff before and after surgery were timely, easy to understand and always helpful.
Excellent experience.

My mom has been a patient here for years, today she had a transplant and everything was great. The liver team is outstanding and so helpful and they take such good care of their patients. I have zero complaints about PSL other than construction causing some longer wait times but in the end it'll be worth it I'm sure. I have my mom for many more years to come now and it's all because of the liver team. I am so grateful for the nurses and outpatient staff, we have of course had our ups and downs and didn't vibe with everyone we worked with but some personalities don't match. Even on our worst days they have all been good to us. I love this hospital!

Nursing staff and Doctors were fantastic. Caring for patient needs was excellent. Infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired. Heating problems left my room uncomfortably cold and the thermostat did not work properly. Blocked filter on the shower head reduced the water flow to a trickle and lack of hot water on several occasions was very irritating.

Labor & Delivery and Mom/Baby were both incredible experiences. They went the extra mile and made our stay more comfortable and met all our needs. The NICU (which is technically RMCH) our experience was not very good, because a staff member was very rude and treated me very strange, like it was not my baby, which was bizarre. BUT @ PSL the experience was great!

I had a scheduled surgery and my hospital stay was for 3 days. I cannot thank everyone enough for my care while I was there! Everyone was so nurturing and ensured my comfort to the best of their ability after having a big procedure. Thank you to all...especially to my angels Monique, Moriah and Miranda. xoxo
