What a good surprise. I was enchanted by the visual arts of argentinean Le Parc. The language video exhibit was also very interesting.
Excellent museum and seems like they keep the exhibits very fresh & relevant.
Pretty cool, very interesting stuff there. Different sorts of views. Security makes sure you don't touch and don't photograph what you can't. Tiny gift shop but definitely fun. Very limited parking.
Nice place but if you are not a fan of modern art the it may not be your cup of tea and the museum is not that big, it will take 2 hours tops to visit all of it.
Beautiful art, very informative descriptions of the art and the artists that created them.
Is a must to any visitor. Best view of the city and and beautiful Piece of Architecture
Something worth knowing interesting educational and joyful for the whole family
Great exhibits, nice cafe, and friendly personal. Fantastic views also!
Loved Chisto s lecture and the way the exposition is curated , really magnificent
The service is quick. It's usually not packed so it's easy to get in and out. The outside walking area is nice towards around 4pm. Any earlier and it would be too hot. There's a nice pathway that runs parallel to the dock. The inside is well lit and they have a nice little gift shop in the very front. I wouldn't recommend this for kids let's say 7 and under. They make it clear that they don't want anyone touching or playing around the pieces and to fully enjoy the art it would be best not to be distracted.
Very nice and very interesting the museum to spend it with the family
This museum was true modern contemporary museum. Nothing you would see anywhere else.
Visited for a private event. The catering staff and set up were excellent. Looking forward to the next event at this location.
Unique architecture. integrated to the waterfront. Enjoy
Aside from the great exhibits and wonderful outdoor views, they regularly have special programming: movie screenings, poetry events, parties, etc. It was worth becoming a member so I can enjoy everything bit by bit.
Deborah Anzinger and Nari Ward's Pieces were amazing.
Incredible collection of Cuban artists. I was blown away with the standard of art here.
The building itself is beautiful, a blend of concrete, glass, steel, and wood. The art within is stunning, and I'm sure will continue to be for future visitors.
Very nice and pleasant to take the children as a family.
Great museum and the location is perfect. If you love arts, I highly encourage you to visit this museum.
Where's the art? There are 2 floors with a lot of random stuff, none of which I'd consider art. No historical pieces, no paintings, no famous artists. I was expecting to see a Botero or at least a tacky Britto. They offer free admission on first Tuesdays and the building and grounds are quite beautiful. And that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. That's really what makes the museum even more disappointing, because you'd expect beautiful art in a beautiful building. But you'd be disappointed. I couldn't imagine paying admission. Even free is too expensive considering the time I wasted.
Surely there are better museums, because this museum is so lacking in real art. I have been to art museums all over the U.S. and also some in Europe, and I rate this the worst. The best exhibit is a group of miniature boats hanging from the lobby ceiling. Beyond that, one large wall painting, a film about African Americans and the "While the Dew is Still on the Roses" weren't boring or awful. Some decent photos as well.
To be fair, I'm not a fan of some contemporary art. My feeling is if I have to read an explanation about why a work is good, then it's likely not good. A single photo of two or three books leaning on a pice of square wood did not evoke any emotion in me except to think "who is the curator of this museum and why was this piece chosen?"
There was the seemingly obligatory mirror image geometric painting in two colors and the painting of straight colored lines, both of which almost anyone could have painted. I think the artists on display had become famous somehow in the past, and now are able to create something facile and call it art. I thought this was a waste of time.
Probably one of the most visually captivating museums I've been to ( and I have been to the Louvre)! Many of the works of art are my ppl of color and their stories are expressed eloquently.
great museum of modern art.
I really enjoy my visit to this great museum, with several modern art expositions and well presented.
they are always renewing the expositors and changing the look of the museum so you get everytime a fresh visit.
you can get their by metrorail free of charge so you don t have to worried about parking.
I discovered who Jean-Michel Basquiat was during my birthday week in September 2016 at this museum from New York City. Born and raised in New York and Jersey, I never heard of this artist until I took an exciting adventure at Perez Art Museum. This place is filled with exciting showcases and art.
Fabulous food beautiful view.... Incredible exhibits especially the light sculpture show
Great building, been here a few times don't get the art, metro mover drops you off right here though my kid loves the train
Amazing place with breathtaking views of Miami downtown & port..Love it
Enjoyed view of the bay, as well as art structures outside and all the art indoors. Will definitely come back in the future.
Excellent offer of works of the museum. Impeccable place and very attentive staff
This is not what i was expecting... totally dissapointed need a LOT more
Excellent place for culture. It is next to the bay where you can enjoy a walk with a fresh breeze
Loved it all, the art exhibits and the friendly staff. The fast service and awesome gift shop with a large variety of gifts. Beautiful architecture!
I always go to Perez when in Miami. Always somerhing new to see, nice restaurant to eat
Would suggest to got for a tour instead of visiting alone. Unique and thoughtful art collection. Developed love in art with this visit.
I loved the museum, and tje gift shop, you Just want to buy everything there!
It's worth to visit. Check the day that is free. When I went, it was on Thursday.
The art museum was alright, decent building, but I wasn't particular to the majority of the art being displayed. It was subject mainly to just abstract art and modern art .It didn't necessarily show a variety. The entry fee was also pretty expensive to see not so good quality items . Decent museum to go as a social event .
Nice art museum right beside to the bay, good for a walk.
Hotty but nice. Well designed buildings. Easy to find parking spaces.. Make sure you validate at member relations to get a discount on parking fee.
Excellent exhibition of the works and fantastic view of the bay ..
Pretty!!! Verde - amazing dining experience (even without PAMM admission). Makes PAMM a must go!
Interesting artwork on two floors with free entrance the first Thursday of each month.
Great place to go and enjoy a quiet peaceful tranquil Sunday and enjoy Art and walk over after viewing all the exclusive interesting art gallery to the science museum which jumps into a vacky fun event sitting down through the space show. A must do. Food is fun and great and at the end you will admire what beautiful water property Miami Dade has with this beautiful architecinical building with massive structures and designs.
Just a place to must do every year and explore new adventures.
Love this place! The exhibits are great. It is wonderful to spend the afternoon there. Very relaxing. Awesome View. Good coffee.
Beautiful place to appreciate experimental and modern contemporary art.
Very beautiful, nice place. Beautiful exposed pieces.
Brazilerada goes to this place .. first Thursday of the month I think it's free to find out on the site. Hugs and let's get culture too and leave the malls
..
?
Small quantity of art and it's a bit too modern for my taste.
Interesting building and grounds, but you leave the Perez feeling underwhelmed by the art on display. Multiple rooms were closed and for $16 I would expect more time and more stimulation in a museum. Overpriced.
I love it this place is a pleasure to visit ... between the sea and the palm trees the different levels and exhibitions recreate the soul without limits.
Open space to really take in every artist's creation. Hoping to return another day!
