Im writing this review on Er doc Zachary A Wulbecker I would like to state that this isn't my first negative encounter with him a year ago from this date my 4 month son at the time was taking to the hospital for projectile vomiting he stated that he just had a stomach bug the nurse told him his head measured twice the size that it should have been he was rushed to children's hospital and he had two brain surgeries for hydrocephalus thank god for nurse Ramona a year from the second brain surgery to the day I managed to have another encounter with him when I was going to the hospital for some issues that I was having with myself he downplayed what was going on once again even though walk in clinic and my surgent advised me to go in and get proper care that i needed there he was saying No tests or care was needed to be done since I've already known that he does not have Integrity nor takes the proper steps on providing proper Health Care to the community I decided that it was in my best interest to leave considering the first thing that he says is you'll be fine and he doesn't know why I'm why i was sent here by my surgent who did my surgery last wk and walk in clinic who advise the same thing I decided to go to a different hospital since my body has been telling me something is seroiusly wrong and they took my blood test and i was correct something is severely wrong which is going to be an ongoing issue that needs to be closely monitored cuz it can be life threating I was given the proper test and health care that was needed by Banner hospital all i have to say is if Zachary A Wulbecker ever takes care of you and he tells you you're fine in your body tells you different than I would highly recommend you get a second opinion at a different hospital if I would have left when he told me to leave the hospital a year ago my son wouldn't be here with me today he's extremely unprofessional and I would like to call him a fly-by-night doctor who doesn't deserve a degree he had me in tears today because his unprofessional and disrespectful ways he has no integrity ..

I can only complain about the care provided at the ER. My boyfriend broke his collar bone in a biking accident and was taken to Poudre Valley. The staff that was taking care of him were cold and we're only interested in getting him out. There was no sympathy, no good diagnosis. They put him in a sling, told him he would be fine without surgery, gave him Percocet for pain killers and told him to leave. It sucked because he was in so much pain, we ended going to another hospital, where they informed us that he needed surgery, as his collar bone was broken in 3 parts. I am very disappointed with Poudre Valley ER, it didn't have to come down to seeking care in a different hospital if they could have handled the situation better. Not to mention the ridiculous expensive bill, and for what? I felt like it wasn't worth it.

Never again, PVH.

Never again, PVH.

Our house is equal distance to Banner and PVH. We chose PVH for an emergency and my husband was admitted at round 3am. He said that that night there were almost no patients and as he tried to relax, He would get woken up by the nurses talking loudly and laughing. At around 7am he was discharged, with no warning. He was very fragile and exhausted from the night. They made him wait in the waiting room chair for an hour for us to pick him up since we live far and had no warning. Could it hurt to let him at least lay down in an empty bed or let him stay in bed for at least 30 min extra?

Then troubles continued when we went to pick up prescriptions. The prescription I was given had to be called in by the prescriber for authorization (per insurance). I had to pay out of pocket and then called PVH for the necessary authorization. I was told that they cannot give the authorization since the doc that treated my husband left for the day and as they say, they have no idea when he will be in next since the docs rotate between hospitals with no set schedule. I have left a voicemail with a complaint and am still waiting to hear back from their patient customer services.

This PVH experience made our night even worse!

We should have chosen Banner.

I was treated for a broken ankle (I broke the inside, the outside, and my tibia) First they set it and sent me home. It came unset, so back to the hospital I went. They admitted me because I was in terrible pain. Ortho came in the next day, and said since I had missed my window for surgery, there was not another window open for 7 days. First of all, I had never been given an opportunity to have surgery, and right after this took place, a hospital generalist came in to tell me they were sending me home! My pain level was between anywhere from 7 to 9, and they were going to send me home with tylenol, naproxen, and a few percocet for when I had extreme pain...I complained to admin about being checked out when my pain level wasn't under control. The admin person stuck up for me, and they kept me another night.
The next morning, I went to PT to learn how to navigate stairs with crutches, getting in and out of a car etc...and my pain level was a little better.I felt much better about going home, and was able to be released from the hospital.
If I would not have complained to admin, they would have sent me home being in extreme pain! NOT a good way to treat a patient!

I recently visited the ER at Poudre Valley Hospital due to elevated blood pressure. The staff was very competent and kind but the experience has left me financially devastated and has done nothing to lower my blood pressure. The charges in total were about $5000! I was only in the care of the staff for a matter of 15 or 20 minutes but the room alone was $2500. Please be warned that a visit to the ER at Poudre Valley Hospital will cost you plenty!

After being seen by my PCM for on-going stomach pain, I was sent to PVH for an ultrasound and subsequent CT Scan. I can't ever remember such swift, professional and friendly service - ANYWHERE. EVER.

All of my testing was orderedd lst-minute and the orders were put on a rush. Even then, I was never made to feel like an inconvenience. They ever bumped my CT scan up by an hour (at great disturbance to their staff's schedule, I'm sure) all because I asked if they thought I *might* be done in time to pick-up my son from day care.

These folks jumped through several hoops to make sure that I was comfortable and accomodated through what turned-out to be a long, exhausting day of testing.

Side note: I particularly appreciated the EXTREMELY timely return of my ultrasound and CT scan results! They had me go back out to the waiting room to wait for a phone call from my PCM with the reults. Those reults came in less than 30 minutes each time! I can't emphasize enough how impressed I was with my experience there.

Well the hospital NICU is new and nice but the muffing staff is lacking the skills to handle 3 patients at a time, they are constantly upset and they expect you as a parent to do all the cares on your baby, so I ask then what is the insurance paying for a bed space because if you are not there to care for your child then the cares are not done and the nurses are just constantly complaining, the hospital the NICU in particular should be pampering these little babies not complaining about doing the job they are there to perform, would definitely not recommend you leave your child alone at this hospital the care is not there and employees are just not up to par for a Neonatal infant care unit, very saddened and definitely concerned about what could happen to an infant here

I lived in fort collins for years and used PVHS many times but now 3 years later i check my credit score and there are TWO dings on there from PVHS for $1,000 and $380 when i had health insurance and everything. This has drastically effected my credit score and when i call in to resolve this issue i was hung up on by the first person i talked to and the next couldnt tell me anything i didn't already know. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR HEALTHCARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my daughter to the ER and after waiting a very long time she was finally seen. It was determined she had strep throat and she was given a prescription for medication to help with the infection. The initial treatment was good however their follow up is terrible.

When the medicine THEIR doctor prescribed not only failed to work but caused my daughter to break out in hives, instead of simply prescribing an alternative medication for her diagnosed condition, they did not stand behind her as their patient nor their care. They just want more money. They want us to come back to the ER - costing me hundreds if not thousands of dollars just so they can verify what I am telling them on the phone. I simply want to get help for my daughter who is a student at CSU - and we do not live in the area. When NOT ONE of their ER docs nor practitioners will stand behind their care, this tells me they care NOTHING for the patient and only for the good old dollar.

Patient care should be ongoing - and we were told if we had ANY issues we could call and get it handled but as soon as we walked out the doors - that was a lie. I was not asking for further diagnosis or alternative diagnosis that would require a return visit - it is clear that she was not responding to the meds and it requires a simple change in medication that doctors do ALL THE TIME.

I am greatly disappointed at the "stand" they take regarding patients and their chasing of the dollar over the health and well being of their patients.

very dismissive of me and were rude to me. They wouldn t even do a swab test to see if i had strep or something. Went to another doctor the next day, they did a xray and found that i hd acute bronchitis. would recommend another hospital. It is also very important to note that I am a person of color. *****If you are a person of color please look for another hospital. Save yourself the stress and pain of micro and macro aggressions****

CHARGED ME $900 TO LISTEN TO MY SON BREATH FOR 30 SECONDS! A COMPLETE AND UTTER RIP OFF!! I RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE EVEN IF YOU ARE ON YOUR DEATH BED, BECAUSE IF WHATEVER'S WRONG WITH YOU DOESN'T KILL YOU. THE BILL FROM THESE CROOKS CERTAINLY WILL.

I live in Cheyenne Wyoming. In my family would rather drive to Poudre Valley then go to crmc. Poudre Valley has the nicest people working there. Never have had any problems. That is where we will be going as long as we live in Cheyenne. It is worth the drive for an appointment

The level of incompetence from the financial depar...

The level of incompetence from the financial department at this hospital in the worst I have ever experienced. They re-billed our insurance company for no reason and didn't code things appropriately the second time. Hospital bill magically doubled even though the one visit/hospital stay was over 8 months ago. Tried to apply for financial assistance back in September and no one would return my call to let me know they even received documents. Finally someone reached out in December and asked for all of the documents again. After submitting all of them again (pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, etc), we were told, "oh never mind, its too late, your time ran out to apply. I'm not sure why they have a financial assistance program if they have no interest in actually helping people. Bankruptcy for this hospital bill in our final option and we have insurance. Also, the amount of spelling and grammatical errors that were included in every email, leads me to believe that they don't take helping people very seriously.

My fiance has Trigeminal Neuralgia, and we went into the ER here because the pain was so bad, she was physically sick and her numerous medications weren't helping. Upon checking in, one of the nurses joked how, "she had a headache too". Trigeminal Neuralgia is not a headache or migraine. It effects the trigeminal nerve in the head causing constant intense pain in the head and face, and will most likely require surgery. What "headache" have you known to need surgery to get rid of? Very unprofessional and rude. And to top it off, the doctor she had talked to her like a small child. We're honestly worried to go back because we don't want to be treated like that again.

I stayed in the orthopedics wing for 2 1/2 days for surgery. I had the most comfortable and amazing stay there. Every single staff member I met was incredibly kind and responsive. They were all very supportive and made me feel better when I was anxious. I wish there was more I could do to show my gratitude. Best hospital experience ever. Thank you ortho wing staff!

I cannot say enough great things about PVH before, during, and after my gastric bypass surgery. The nursing staff were comforting, kind, and compassionate every step of the way from preop to the recovery room, to post op care. They are a Bariatric Center of Excellence for a reason!!

these people are like a narcissistic boyfriend they called me to cancel my appointment when I told him that I needed to see my doctor
anyways,a got upset they said that I was being rude and wouldn't work with me anymore. I wasn't being rude my daughter has the whole thing on video when it happened the third time. The first two times you will just have to take my word for it. This is at the hospital or any of their other buildings they own. uchealth on Harmony is the worst they have a gal there named Vicky that runs the phones and she is as mean as mean comes.

Horrible doctors who cannot figure out what is wrong with you AND a horrible billing department that doesn't look into why their bills are bouncing back (nor do they seem to understand that if a bill bounced back to them, the patient did not receive the bill)

Not only did they not figure out what was wrong with me last fall, but they sent a few bills to the wrong address, which bounced back to them (aka I knew nothing about them), and instead of calling me to see what was up, decided to send the bills to a collection agency.

Horrible experience from beginning to (hopefully soon) the end. Avoid if you can.

I would not give them even one star. I left feeling very sad insulted and judged by the nurses and doctors. I have had 4 back surgery's and my spine is breaking down above the fusion causing me significant chronic pain. I stood up today and felt a pop in my back sending me to the floor not able to move I dialed 911. when I arrived at Poudre Valley Hospital I did not receive the care I believed I should they did not do a CT scan and were not going to even do a x-ray but I informed them I had the last time I had fell I broke the screws in my spine having multiple surgeries and spent months in the hospital in Denver. At Poudre I was treated like I was faking my pain and not taking seriously by the staff. They were unsympathetic cold and uncaring when I was being discharged the nurse became angry and rude because I was not able to sit up and having a hard time bearing weight on my spine in an upright position she was impatient and cold giving me dirty looks and raising her voice at me saying it was time for me to leave. I asked her if I could see the doctor and she said NO I was being discharged in a very irritated voice. I asked her to leave my room that I did not deserve nor would I take her rudeness! I will never go to this hospital again! I believe I have herniated disk have had one in the past and know what it feels like! I asked to have a CT so I would know and the doctor said he would not do that I have insurance and would like to have had my suspicions confirmed because of the excruciating pain. Left their in pain unable to walk hardly able to sit up and not knowing what is wrong with my spine why was I not given a simple test? This hospital needs to be retrained in compassion and common sense. Horrible experience!! That is not health care.

PVH should not be taking patients that have an alc...

PVH should not be taking patients that have an alcohol or drug problem because they seem to have no interest in providing them with the adequate care that people with substance abuse issues need! My friend had been on the streets of Old Town for about 10 days heavily binge drinking, had been reported as a missing person and was finally found by a social worker with Outreach Ft Collins. He was taken by ambulance to PVH on an alcohol hold about 8 pm! I was out of town at the time and was not able to get to the hospital until the next day about 1 pm, only to discover that my friend is not there! Nor could they tell me if he had been brought in the night before! (I thought perhaps the Social Worker told me an incorrect hospital in error.) I understand Hippa and protecting a patience privacy, but if they can tell you yes or no if someone is there at the time you are currently asking, then certainly they should be able to tell you yes or no from the night before! Come to find out that he was discharged and sent out on the streets barely able to walk and did not attempt to contact anyone to come pick him up, or assist him with doing so. Now 2 days later, we just found him on the streets again (or still) completely stinking from urine and unable to walk! He was drinking mouthwash and crying about how PVH kicked him out of the door when he was asking to go to detox. He said they did not offer to clean him up whatsoever, and did not offer him anything to eat or even water!! PVH stuck him in a room, gave him Benzo's and when he could "Frankenstein walk" they pushed him out the door back on the streets! This is NOT the first time they have done this either!! About 2 years ago my friend was brought in the same way and I went to the hospital a few hours after the ambulance took him to PVH and they informed me that they were getting ready to discharge him! I told staff, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME he can barely walk!!", they said some mumbo jumbo about whatever the criteria was to hold someone. Well, I am sorry but when someone is completely unable to care for themselves they have no business discharging them! At least make sure they are able to walk down the street before discharging them! If someone has a BAC of 0.55 there is no way that person is going to be ready to walk down the street 12-15 hours later! Addicts are regular patients, same as all the others treated at the hospital. Their disease can be life threatening in multiple ways! So 2 days later I find my friend (who was wanting to go to Mountain Crest, but was told by PVH they did not have a bed) and take him to another hospital. He was admitted and told could NOT be sent to detox because he had Benzo's in his system, Benzo's that PVH GAVE HIM 2 days prior when he was there!!! So not only did PVH discharge him that day not yet sober from alcohol, but on Benzo's then as well!!! Unbelievable!! He could have gotten better care at the homeless shelter!!

Had a Grade 3 ankle sprain. They told me it ranks in the top 5 pains; the first being childbirth. I waited in the lobby for about 2 hours before I got to a room. Another half hour before I got an ice pack. ANOTHER half hour until they gave me 400mg of generic ibuprofen Which doesn't do anything in this situation for a grown adult. Within the next hour they took x-rays and gave me a boot. Then I was given crutches, which they didn't show me how to use properly (I've never been on crutches, nor to the ER) and just told me to go.

My water broke at 30 weeks and this was the closest hospital they kept me there for 3 1/2 weeks until I delivered during that time I couldn't get a experienced doctor to see me when I asked why I was being seen by residents they said because I have Medicaid and no attendings wanted to deal with my insurance I had just moved up here two days before my water broke and was waiting for my husband's new job insurance to kick in so Medicaid was my only option then after I had the baby with a c- section they discharged me after 2 days with the baby in the NICU the NICU nurses are so beyond understaffed they were seeing 3-4 babies per nurse and I was afraid to leave my baby in their care because the nurses were rushing from my baby to get to the next..... do not go here the care is terrible and they are cheap... I also breast feed my child And I heard that the babies on the pediatrician side if you're a breast feeding mom they give you free trays well not on the NICU side When I complained about it they gave me free food for 3 days but then they came to me after they had a meeting and stopped giving free trays to the moms on that pediatrician side and the nicu side.

My husband was transported to PVH Lemany campus recently. He had a minor seizure while working out. He has had many before and is on meds for that. He said the bus that he rode in was one of the best that he has ever ridden in. The doctor that saw him was very professional as was the nursing staff from the RN down to the Nurses techs. We were in and out in about two hours.

These people do not understand medicine or how to diagnose any condition. They do not listen to the patient and fail to diagnose conditions that are apparent from x-rays. If they do see something they dismiss it and fail to tell the patient. Do not go here go to Banner if you can.

I have given birth at UChealth Aurora and the Poudre Valley location. I had my children naturally with no complications accompanied by wonderful Midwives and L&D nurses.

I would advise to request a detailed bill and review it. I was charged for labor and delivery drugs that I did not receive at both UChealth locations. The billing department did workwith me to make corrections but it took some consistent effort on my part.

Overall, I was happy with the staff at Poudre Valley. They have great L&D nurses and knowledgeable Midwives.

I had both my kids at PVH 3 and 5 years ago. They were great! I had the midwives from the Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado do the delivering, but the nurses and admin staff from the hospital were very friendly. The room was nice and my babies got to stay with me the whole time. There is a nursery, but the staff likes to keep babies with their moms as much as possible. Billing was easy and painless for us.

I also had a procedure done about a month ago and was very happy with my experience. I was nervous, but the surgery center did a great job of easing my nerves. Everyone was very professional and helpful when I had questions. The admin office did great when I found an issue on our insurance info and was fast to get it fixed.

Pre-op went well, and they made sure that I had everything I needed. The anesthesiologist stopped by and went over everything as well as the doctor. I was very comforted when they said that if I got too anxious and worried that they would be there to help me out.

Surgery, I assume went well because I came out with only minor and very common complications.

Post-op was fantastic. The nurses were happy and helpful and were great at encouraging me to get moving around. The CNA's were great as well. I appreciated all the helpful words they had, and how they made sure my husband knew what he was doing before they let me go home.

Overall, I had great experiences for the things that were the scariest things I have ever done.

My daughter was seen last week at the ER and they told her she just had some virus and sent her home. A few days later she was still miserable and went to the Student Health clinic at CSU where they diagnosed her with mono. I would expect that an Emergency Room would do a more complete workup than a Student Health Clinic, but obviously not this one. Save your money and go to Student Health if you re a college student at CSU and need medical attention. If it s after hours, go to Harmony Urgent Care. I ve done some research and understand the providers there are outstanding.

While having to go to the poudre valley Emergency Room for a VERY scarey cituation..I have to say my experiance was definitely in my top best...they saw i was freaking out, balling my eyes out and terrified as could be. and they did a great job calming me down and reassuring me....they helped me in a fast timely manner and i would definitely go back to them if needed be...(but hopefully never again) i wish i had the names of the individuals that helped me because i would like to thank them amd give them a HUGE shout out to them so everyone knew who.

This facility is run by scam artists. I got a test and they claimed I received two tests so that they could double the price. Then they overcharged for both tests. A routine scan turned into thousands of dollars. This is one of the most evil hospitals in the US, avoid at all costs.

Edit: You aren't sorry about anything. You copy pasted that generic message like you always do. If I emailed that address you'd just try to swindle me out of more money. Get out of here with that garbage.

Not all UC Health facilities are the same. Not all nursing staffs are the same. Not all doctors are the same. Not all hospital experiences are the same. I should know for I've spent my fair share of time at the UC Health faculties, from Foco to Denver. Thank you Poudre Valley for being so kind to me. A shout out to all that were apart of my last encounter.

Dealing with the billing department was a horrible experience. Still paying off a bill for delivering there (with no complications). They so kindly set me up a payment plan for $208 every month for the next 2 YEARS. I even had insurance (picked the plan with our Human Resources department in preparation for delivery).

Can not count the hours and amount of diffent people I spoke with. No one says the same thing and when you finally get to a supervisor, they tell you they will call you back and NEVER do.

I will do anything I can not to give them anymore of my money.

I've been to the emergency room twice and have been hospitalized once at PVH. In all cases I was treated very well. The hospital stay was very pleasant (if a hospital stay can be!). I had a large single room that was nicer than most resorts/hotels I've stayed in. The staff was very attentive, competent and friendly. In all cases, I received prompt, appropriate and professional care.

I have had two procedures done at PVH in the past 6 weeks. With both procedures, I found all staff - from admitting to nursing to doctors - to be friendly, conversational, thorough and professional. We're lucky to have a medical facility in our town like PVH.

Last summer, I was having insanely painful cramps that knocked me to the ground. I could barely get up off the floor to go to work and was in tears from the pain, even with painkillers. This went on for several days, until I actually began screaming from the pain and knew I needed to figure out what was happening. A local chiropractor referred me to UCHealth, saying that it may be a more serious problem. I was charged at least $2,000 for the doctors to tell me that I needed to go home and take some tylenol...I'm still trying to figure out how I'm supposed to pay for that. What a joke.

Labor and delivery was excellent. I would give 4/5 stars if I could review it on its own. The hospital loses two stars because the post partum care was sub par. They treated me like I was a bother and I had to ask repeatedly for help nursing.

Just had my second here. They have the best nurses!
Hope I remember their name right (Lisa, Kendra, Jade, Sue, Korry). They are so helpful and kind, made my stay much nicer and easier with all of my pain and disabilities. Very appreciated! Hoping to see them again when I have my 3rd!

I was incredibly ill in the ER with what turned out to be Pneumonia. I am a nurse myself. The Nurse was convinced it was 'nerves'. After an hour she yells across the whole ER, literally, '(my legal name), you know it's just your PTSD, now i'm not gonna ask you again to quit breathing so dramatically! I have people who are actually sick!' Like hello, HIPPA anyone?! All I remember about her is her nursing clogs were Ed Hardy because that's all I saw of her really. She tried to avoid my curtained off area as she was really frazzled. Later she had to explain in front of the doctor, that the x-ray showed I did have serious pneumonia, and my right lung was a quarter full of infected fluid. So much for her 'panic' diagnosis.

9:48, Sunday evening. There is this droning noise coming from the hospital parking garage. It's been going on for what seems like hours and makes me feel like I've got a metal plate in my head. I called the non-emergency police number and was told that they're 'pressure washing' the garage. This garage was not supposed to have an effect on the surrounding area. I'm sorry, but if they want to make this kind of noise in my neighborhood, maybe they could pop for us all to get whole-house air conditioning and pay the bills for it too. At least 10 of my neighbors and I have been here for 20+ years longer than this "necessary" garage.
Pfffft. Making me cranky.
Okay. Here we go again at 10:17 on Sunday night. I should not have to close my windows and crank up the sounds to block out this noise. NOT OKAY PVHS!

Where do I start? Place was amazing to my wife. She didn t like where she was scheduled to give birth so she switched last minute, best idea ever. My wife had a tough and hard long labor that turned to a C section. Everyone in the labor and C section unit were fantastic. But it wasn t till we got to recovery where my wife really felt as if they were on her side no matter what. There was a nurse named Cheryl and Jade on the women s care unit. Them two woman are gods gift to that hospital. Those are the two sweetest and down to earth women they took my wife right under their wing. I know that s their job but these two were special everything from the amazing advice to the soft and kind hearted messages to keep her going on recovery! As for Jade she really knew how traumatic it was for my wife pretty much giving birth both ways. I have never seen my wife open up and talk to someone like that. You go girl, you are special. Not many of you left!

Could not figure out the correct billing after so many calls. Our insurance was out of area (so they are not familiar with it) but in network with Cigna which was noted very clearly on our card. Still billed as out of network. Can't they find any competent worker at the billing department??!

Severely neglected a new mother to a point she could have lost her life. Complications of the delivery were completely ignored. Doctor assumed legitimate pain was a ploy to get medication (it was not) and as a result, her condition deteriorated rapidly before finally being admitted and treated at an ER. Dismissive and discriminatory. Attend at your own risk.

I'm writing this review to give perspective to the many negative reviews I see here. I had a mountain bike accident a year ago and received care at the PVH ER. The staff was kind and efficient. I received an xray while waiting to see the Dr. When the Dr. arrived he was already able to view the xray and provide care based on an informed opinion. I was in and out within an hour tops on a Sunday- this is something that's unheard of in California (where I grew up). Billing wasn't bad because of PVH, it was bad because American health insurance (even good insurance through my company) is a mess in general in my opinion.

I'm currently pregnant and from what I saw of the birthing center I anticipate a lovely labor and delivery experience in the good/capable hands of experts. Cheers to those who dedicate themselves to serving others. The medical field is incredibly difficult and we're all human and doing our best.

The lady who was working the desk in the ER at 12pm on 1/17/18 was not helpful at all, just flat out rude and demeaning Thanks for nothing when trying to find my 77 year old mother, it was really appreciated!

My 7 mo son is at PVH in Fort Collins. He s been there 3 days and in their care his condition has only worsened. Last night my wife asked questions about how they re treating him (he s 7 months and on a 1000 ml iv bag with potassium and no heart rate monitor, and potassium can cause irregular heart beating leading to DEATH) and was told unless you went to school, mind your business. We were told he has rsv and needed antibiotics and probiotics. it wasn t until 16 hours later, and after questions on what they were doing and threatening to leave that they finally started them but did it in his iv and told my wife it would take 10 days. After she was told to mind her business they also sent a cps worker in, took her bed away saying someone else needs it and gave her a chair. When I brought my son it he was fully coherent, sick but fine, and the first hospital before we were transferred confirmed things like a clear via chest X-ray. Well now he has fluid in a lung, hasn t eaten in over 24 hr, hasn t opened his eyes and all the staff has to offer is nasty comments and o he s fine, even though he s been screaming for literal days. Another thing is after the iv was questioned they turned my son s oxygen up so that we legally couldn t take him or have any control over the health of our own son. I m just sick of being treated like trash or a second class citizen because of the insurance I m able to get my family. The state of healthcare in this country is in a sad and scary place and this hell hole is a big part of the problem. And to your sorry auto response message, if you ever hear from me again it will only be via an attorney. You put my sons life in jeopardy and you just have sorry for your experience to say... what a joke.

Horrible! They billed an old address and tried to double Copay. I've had to call 4 times and they still haven't made any effort to correct it. In fact there billing department says it's not there responsibility to call insurance. Insurance said they paid it and my portion is half what Poudre is trying to charge. The operator for billing just keeps talking and doesn't want to do anything. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for medical care. This isn't the first time I've had them try to over bill and make it PAINFUL to correct. Shame on you Poudre Valley.

This is a review for my friend who is a bit technically challenged. She was told that her blood work came back with positive liver and kidney function. She is a nurse, and so she acquired the lab results to check and found that it showed kidney failure. She will not be going to this hospital any longer, and wanted me to post her experience online.

Do not use this hospital, it's bad . The staff is nice. But the rest not. The billing department is the worst, it took a long time to set up a payment plan . I had the worst experience, I would no recommend this place. :(

The inpatient experience was fine but having to come to the hospital very frequently for labs is not as fine due to the difficulty at the entry way! Being impaired and needing a wheelchair, the main entrance is the pits! It is small and there are usually a number of cars. There is only a very small area without a curb and there are both drop-offs and pick-ups happening. It would be good to have a separate door for either one so that the congestion of the cars and pedestrians as well as patients would not be so difficult.

The nursing staff that takes call after 4 pm for psychiatric care were not willing to speak to Dr on call to send in my son s medication. My son was put in a new medication on Wednesday. It was ordered at our pharmacy. After talking with the pharmacy that evening they said that it would have to be ordered and it would be in on Thursday. My pharmacy called on Friday at 415 to tell me that they cannot get my sons new medication because it is not available to them. He has taken his last dose of his old medication today. So I called my sons psychiatrist office which is closed at 4 and was told be the nursing staff at PVH psychiatric department that there is not a way for me to get ahold of the doctor on call to send medication to the pharmacy for my son. That they might be able to call us back??? This medication warns that you are not to stop it unless a doctor is monitoring tapering down from medication and they are expecting my teenage son to go without his medication for 3 days without an alternative! I have always had a exceptional experience at PVH and I have had quite a few surgeries at the Poudre Vally Hospital location, but this absolutely makes no sense to me! If nothing else send in the old medication until a prescription can be sent to another pharmacy! I am utterly disappointed.

The company that runs billing for this hospital garnished over 20k after the patient my Mom was dead. One would think they would have realized there was no replies to many attempts to contact for a very good reason.

My child needed to be seen for service. I told the staff MULTIPLE times I had no way to get my child back from the Denver area if transferred there. We would need help getting him home. I was assured that there would be transport. Guess what? I was lied to. My kid should have been home 24 hours ago. Instead, I had to make multiple phone calls to multiple places. NO ONE would take responsibility and kept pointing to everyone else. It would have been nice to have STAFF LISTEN TO THE PATIENT'S MOTHER instead of running on auto-pilot. You people caused my kid MORE anxiety!

You know, many people believe being homeless and in a shelter is simple, it's not. You can go ask 3 or 4 people on the streets if they'd rather be in a shelter and most will say the streets are less hassle. Having a child in the mess does change that dramatically, you need shelter, period. The nurses suggestion that Evan could rest in a park was completely out of line, she would not have said this to the ordinary, housed, tax payer. They let on that they believed I was trying to use my son's illness as a way into the shelter. After telling the social worker that we were already in the residency program for families, the social worker verified by calling the shelter, before she herself wrote the note I was asking the Dr. for.

Regardless of our situation I believe that we should have been treated with the same respect and dignity as anyone else.

I was discharged to the street as a ADA Vet into 20 degree weather and snow. After a four day stay and constantly challenged by the administration and staff for having a fully trained ADA service dog. I was told I couldn t walk or relieve my dog without being asked to leave. Depentant on a wheelchair, when I showered the nurse was called out to another patient which resulted in my falling and tearing my shoulder and injuring my neck and arm. Now I m forced out in worse shape then I entered

Im torn about why there is not another cross walk made in front of the ER where the curb is down to be able to walk across the street. Also that black fence is they put in is horrible. I walk down curb that goes down anticipating a cross walk there, there is none ( one further down in another area but doesnt help me). Then i cross the street, up the nice curb to have a black medal fence in my face. SO DUMB! So folks who have an EMERGENCY that park, have to walk ALL THE WAY AROUND THE FENCE!!!! This needs to be looked at and changed asap! Time is super important in an emergency, i thought the hospital would know that above me!!! Come on and think y'all!!!

An unexpected hospitalization was not on my agenda but my PVH experience speaks of health care excellence. Having a potentially life threatening situation my care was 5 star from the streamlined admission process to my several day stay on the 4th floor surgical unit. The RNs and CNAs gave exemplary care. The entire staff including lab, dietary, pharmacy, and housekeeping made my stay more comfortable. Dr. Marty and that entire physician and PA team kept me informed and checked in frequently. I am a health care professional and have worked in many hospitals and so appreciate what a great hospital we have in our FC community. Thank you everyone at PVH! Keep up the good work.

As a patient with 4 chronic conditions, I have been here a lot for the past 7 years. I have always had the kindest nurses and staff. The outpatient infusion group is literally the best. They know me, my name and care about how I am. Oncology team is so gentle and kind. Surgery floor was quick and fast paced even though I was there forever. They were willing to let me do some things that made me more comfortable, but weren t the rules. The ER IS MY LEAST FAVORITE. I have yet to have a good doc in there.... but overall, this place has and is still taking good care of me.

I just had a baby at PVH at the beginning of June. The delivery rooms were amazing - large, with lots of chairs for family, a tub to sit in, birthing balls, and comfortable and adjustable lighting - and the nurses were incredibly friendly and helpful through the whole process.

The recovery rooms are older, but still comfortable, and the food from the cafeteria was actually pretty tasty. Unless there is a problem, your baby rooms with you. Our baby was never out of our sight or in a different room from us. They even let me hold him when we were transferred from the delivery room to the recovery room.

Edit - Reading through the other reviews, I see a lot of complaints about the billing office. Although the prices are ridiculous (which I think is par for the course for hospitals everywhere, unfortunately), my bill was processed quickly and arrived at my house not long after my insurance company accepted it. I didn't pay it immediately, because I was busy staring at my new baby, and after a few weeks, they called to check on the payment. I was able to pay over the phone easily, and they even sent me a receipt within a week so that I could submit it to my FSA company.

We delivered our baby here just over a month ago. The nurses and staff were wonderful and so attentive both before and after the delivery. The quality of care truly exceeded my expectations and we will absolutely have our next baby here too.

Treated like second rate citizens in ER because my wife needed IV antibiotics given and she could not get into the infusion unit. 4 separate staff members including ER doctor made a point of letting us know we shouldn't be in the ER for treatment. Not there by our choice. Also discharge note stated we needed to talk with our Dr to schedule treatment in infusion unit. Fraudulent physical assessment dictated in notes as well by ER doctor. He never examined my wife.
