My girlfriend and I went for the Roars and Pours event and what a great time we had! The sign is as nice to show/tell us what cool events would be happening. While this is a great thing for kids, it was really nice having this be an adult only event.

Always love going there. I went before it was even an actual zoo in the late 60's. Love all the new exhibits and helping to name the newest members of the animals. Go at least 1 time a year if not more!

The zoo is a great zoo with a nice selection of animals. The park is clean, safe, and well shaded. My only complaint is that South Bend needs to add or relocate parking for all the picnic area and reserving more for the zoo visitors. It was not inviting to have to walk nearly half a mile to get into the zoo because of all the parking used up by picnickers. Also, the food is great but it took over an hour to get for the 6 of us. Makes a 6 & 8 year old and 8 month old get very impatient! All in all a great place to visit!

We love the zoo for kids of all ages. If you re looking for a half-day activity, you ll enjoy getting up close with the animals. Nice days can bring out crowds so a membership to get in is recommended. Would love a couple of different food options.

I have been coming here every year since i was little. We have our family reunion there. I was very disappointed in how expensive it is for the zoo. I haven't walked through it in a couple years. So this time i wanted to till i seen how much it was. I think you should offer groups rates or discounted prices for people who have rented a spot at the park.

A great local zoo with a lot of different animals to see and learn about. It's always clean and tidy and they take care of all of their animals. It's a great place to take the kids to learn about all the different animals

This is a great zoo. They have all sorts of animals. A great variety of monkeys, deer, birds, bison, alligators, fish, and so much more. They have a great little place for lunch. They also have a couple different places for snacks. They serve hershey's ice cream that is refreshing on a hot day. Also have a great reptile building that also serves as an education center

We have frequented this zoo quite a bit in the last few years and now that we have a child we get a yearly pass. It's a great place to hang out and see the animals play. They are always making new improvements and keeping the zoo in great condition. A wonderful piece of South Bend.

I've been going to this zoo since I was really young and the main animal I always look foward to seeing is the white tiger near the front. I actually have a memory with it (I forgot the gender ). One day when I came here with my family, my brother and I had wanted to take a picture with the white tiger in the background. We had moved to a spot where the tiger was in the background, but after the picture was taken, we turned bavk around it was right in front of the glass and roared at us. I was so startled that I fell and scraped my knee and my brother had ran. I also remember when I used to brush the animals, and I even to this day, pay money to feed the fish. I love watching them climb on top of each other I like seeing the zebras, I like the alligator (or crocodile), and I love going on the train during the zooboo, and basically everything about the zoo I love. I recommend this zoo to any one person party, couple, family, anyone.

What experience? Hardly any animals to see. No direction as to where anything is located when signing saying relocated animals. Construction during open hours. Extremely disappointing to pay $11 per person and not see much.

Great place to come spend a few hours. Not too big, but not too small.

You can feed the animals (as long as you don't get caught), and there are even stations to purchase treats to give the alpacas, goats, ducks, and fish. They don't taste too great, though, so don't try them.

While we were there, there was a bird that straight up murdered and devoured a fish. It was cray. Y'all, take your cameras.

The lions don't like neon colored shirts, so be prepared for that.

I love the whole place, zoo and park! I haven't used the pool since I was a kid though.
The park is great!! I hadn't been in such a long time. I see they have added a new play area since I was there last. Which is good. So now you can barbeque and or picnic and watch your kids all at the same time!!

Fun!

A greater smaller zoo. The perfect size to keep the kids interested without being too quick. We reviewed each exhibit and the trip took around 2.5 hours.

The animals are pretty close to you as you walk. It is great for photos.

For the adults, they do serve beer and wine at several snackbars throughout the park. Snacks were reasonably priced (popcorn $3, nachos $4).
Overall a great trip!
