Light up the zoo is an excellent outdoor event to enjoy during COVID times.

The splash pad is lots of fun for my six year old son. It is one of his favorite places!

They hardly have any of their animals out or miss a bunch of them

Alot of animals to see. A nice smaller zoo. The train ride is cute, takes you around some of the park. Petting zoo and carousel nice touches. Over all a nice place to visit. Admission is 10 for adults though.

The zoo, playground and splash pad is awesome for both kids and adults , great place for birthday parties, too

It is really nice since it was redone. Even has a little bar inside! Sipping on a glass of wine while checking out the animals is a great way to spend a day.

Nice attractions, the kids especially enjoy the petting zoo area. Wish the hours were longer, but aside from that it's a nice few hours worth.

Great spot for families, be sure to get a membership and enjoy it as often as you want!

It was under construction and all the animals were gone

A small but beautiful and exceptionally well cared for Zoo. They have well cared for animals and interesting exhibits. There is a fantastic playground right beside it. In the spring there are often bus loads of kids during the weekdays that come for school trips. They are very accommodating and educational.

Small but perfect amount for my little ones. We go on almost a weekly basis and sometimes several times a week. Love the Lions and Tigers!

Nice, clean, small zoo. The animals seem well cared for and the new construction makes it look updated.

This is a very small zoo. We got there early before opening and stood in quite the line. We moved thru quickly once gates were open. Members have a different line than non to get them thru faster. We had no problem with parking but the lot seemed to fill quickly. We saw lots of vehicles parked on the road. There was no food places open but there were places to picnic. We got thru the zoo pretty quickly. In addition to the animals, we enjoyed the train and carousel.

What I did not like when I went 3 weeks ago is that it is being remodeled and the zoo is disorganized.

I have lived in Portland and Denver this was the best zoo I have been to hands down.

Animals, playground, carousel and more rides, fun. If u want that come here!

Its very fun and entertaining!! Personally, I love going there. The enviroment is nice and the animals are cutie^_^)

I saw some different animals than the Fort Wayne Zoo. It is small, only took about an hour to go through. I was not impressed by how little space the tigers and lions had. Very sad.

Great zoo! I believe the oldest zoo in Indiana. My 2 year old loves seeing all the animals, riding the small train, and the carousel of course. The zoo is clean and well laid out and there s a very large playground just across the parking lot so it s 2 for the price of 1!:)

Top notch. I love the zoo. Potawatomi offers exotic animals from far and near. Family favorite. Love from all ages. Bring a picnic and spend the day out

Every time we go here there are so many things that are missing and half of the animals are gone, lethargic, or sleeping. Very disappointing.

The environment is clean and tidy, there are not many animals, but the management is very good. There are small trains that children like.

I love the zoo. Can't wait to see all the improvements this coming summer.

I love this zoo! Unfortunately they continue to do construction and the little store has stuffed animals that are ridiculously priced and that was a bummer, however rhinos are coming to the zoo soon which is exciting. The peacock is great. The tortoises are my favorite so here

Was not impressed and most animals were sleeping. I know animals can't be controlled but the cost was not worth the exhibits. Needs to be updated.

Excellent place for children, there is a park and a place to hold meetings.

The animals looked sedated and most are kept alone in their own tiny cages. It's just too sad to walk through.

Always a fun time, the zoo staff is nice and it's the perfect size to walk all the way through.

Thus is an adorable little zoo. Difficult to get a 100% experience due to the Covid19 restrictions but still a great trip for the kids/family.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this zoo was for such a small town. I wish they had more food choices but all around a great little zoo.

Potawatomi Zoo is clean and close to home. I've visited the zoo at least once every season since I was born and now I bring my kiddos who love it just as much!!!

This is a small zoo, but it has a lot to offer. They have been adding even more animals over the last summer. They have four new tigers, leopard cubs that were actually born on site, two different types of monkeys that live on the islands in the pond, porcupines, and mongeese. This adds to the already impressive collection that includes lions, kangaroos, bison, otters, and more. They have a petting zoo where you can feed them and a place to feed the fish which my kids like.

They offer zoo keepers talks about different animals as well as other activities and camps for kids. The train ride has an informative tour that actually goes by animals. The food is good, if a little overpriced, but what zoo isn't?

As I said, it isn't very big. You can walk the whole thing in about an hour, but that can be a good thing. I often took the kids there after daycare as a way to get them outside and get some exercise. We probably went 25-30 times last summer. You would think that it would get old, but every visit is unique. Well worth the price of membership.

Good zoo for it size. Working to build a better experience for its patrons and animals.

Good small zoo for younger kids. They have some larger animals and some stranger things for sure. Makes for a decent elementary field trip.

Haven't been to this zoo in several years. I felt very sorry for the indoor animals. They had nothing but concrete and no running water. They didn't have any real trees or bushes. The snow leopard had nothing natural, old wooden tables to lie on and a very small enclosure. Tall fences and tall weeds and grass made it hard to see the animals. Tortoises had a nice grassy natural area and had room to roam. Animal enclosures need improvement!

I love this place. Grew up going there and loved it.

Membership every year. Great to river park area. Always looking into new ideas.

Wish the butterfly house was still open, but it's still a great little zoo.

Such a nice zoo! It is so spacious and has walkways all around the zoo. There is a park and splash pad to visit right across after the zoo.

It is small easy to get through great amenities for kids and close to other attractions.

Always enjoy going there. Close and very well kept.

Had a great family day at zoo. A nice walk not so large you get tired walking. Wish big cats and some other animal awake walking around. Great picnic area and play ground.

This zoo seems to have gone downhill over the years. The costs have increased and the exhibits remain the same. The animals are not kept as comfortable as other zoos I've been to, and they stopped doing the pony rides and threw in a carousel, that's really the only major difference.

Small zoo but perfect for a morning or afternoon visit. We have a membership and go often. Our 4 year old walks most of the way. The animals are active most of the time and that makes it a better experience for the kids!

This place has become better to walk around and seems bigger now!

The butterfly place should be open during week days.

Great family fun, could stand to be a little cheaper

They go out of their way to make the holidays a great time to come to the zoo. And it is a great zoo, considering South Bend has a population of less than 100,000 people.

Small but plenty of animals to visit. Can see everything in a couple of hour, plus have time to ride the carousel and train. We got to watch the crocodile being fed, which my grandson thought was pretty cool.

Small enough for the family, but big enough with enough animals to entertain the adults
