My wife and i are new to the area. So we took aday and injoyed ourselfs. Would go back and recamend this zoo.

This is a great zoo especially for the size of the community. They continue to make improvements that allow you to interact more with the animals and remove visible obstructions. Starting construction soon as of fall of 2018. The staff is also great. There's a train ride, carousel, petting zoo and more to go along with the lions and tigers and such.

Fun time cute little zoo lots to see without feeling ten miles away from animals

It's a nice zoo. Just wish it were a little easier for small kids to see the animals. They need more glass windows a little lower. Often the wood handrail blocks kids under 7 from seeing.

This place is great. It has lots of fun facts and amazing animals and fun for the whole family, and they are installing a bunch of new things we look forward to seeing. We will be back for sure

Grown up with this zoo and still continues to grow and get better. Love this South Bend zoo.

They have a carousel, a train ride, tigers, lions, leopard, red pandas, monkeys, and more! Staff are friendly and grounds are clean.

Reptile exhibit was closed. Otters and the tiger were also missing.

They've put a lot of work in recently, and it's a great place to take the kids!

When I was a little kid I thought this was the only zoo... period. Growing up and finding out there were zoo's all over was absolutely mind blowing for me. I begged my mom to take me to a bigger zoo. When she finally gave in and took me to Chicago I remember being overwhelmed and feeling like I could barely get close enough to see most of the exhibits. All I wanted was to go back home to the zoo I was accustomed to.

Over the years I've been to a ton of other zoo's and none of them quite have the same feel as Potawatomie. It's big enough to have the privilege of hosting other zoo exhibits that are in rotation but small enough to make me feel at home. No matter how far I move away or how many other places I go this place will always hold a special place in my heart.

Get the pass!! It's the best bang for your buck!! You will need the rest for the Congo cafe and rides inside:) They have four female and a snow leopard! Remember the pass lol

It is a good zoo but they only had 2 places out of the 4 ticket booths open and 1 of the places was the gift shop so it was so busy you couldn't barely get around to look. We went on a Kindergarten field trip.

Great for a local zoo. Lions and tigers are really active!

I wasn't feeling much in the Christmas spirit before going to their lights event tonight. So pretty and festive! Loved the lights, music, hot cocoa and snacks! I rode the train and fed the goats! It was a wonderful night! I will go to this event in the future!

This zoo has a roaming servo named Copper that you can get really close to. It is an amazing experience! Kids enjoy it over and over! (And so do i)

Enjoyed our visit. Nice little zoo, took us about 2 hours to go through. The animals are up close and we could see all of them.

It's always a good day at the Potawatomi zoo.. Large selection of animals to see, interactive as well. Kids love it

South Bend is fortunate to have a vibrant Zoo like this. They are currently upgrading exhibits for 2019 and have been actively improving the Zoo since I have been here.

Its a nice zoo, but they have stopped mowing inside most of the exhibits. The lion exhibit for instance is 90% unviewable for a young child.

Went to there with my daughters 1st grade class for a field trip. Had a great time. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Well designed and laid out. Just the right side zoo for younger kids. We'll definitely be back.

Great zoo for kids. Small enough for a quick visit and big enough to keep it interesting. Season pass is worth it.

Great small local zoo! Some enclosures seem on the small side but animals seem to be very well taken care of. Highly recommend getting the family pass if you go more than once it pays for itself practically.

A great place for kids and adults. Tigers, lions, otters, alligators, and more! There's even a petting/feeding farm.

Love taking my family here! The work the zoo is doing to improve everything is awesome! My kids love the carousel and the train.

Nice zoo, animals don't have much room to roam around though and don't seem to have much companionship. Staff was friendly and otherwise was a good time

Q One of our fave places to go on a nice day to waste a few hours. We have been going since our son was a month or 2bold and he is 4 now. Some of the goats must recognize him, cause they come running over as soon as they see him, even without the food, lol. It's a comfortable walk, and we never get tired of going. The food is actually reasonable for the quality. We always get the refillable cups at the begining of the season and just toss them in our bag.

Large sanctuaries and lots of staff. Good care for the animals. Loved it

Awesome zoo, good zoo for all ages, we were there on fathers day, found someone had thrown a big rock on the back of the alligator, went again on the next fri, had to stop a little boy from throwing rocks at the flamingos, mom and dad were off somewhere else not watching him, please watch your kids!!

Great small zoo! Fairly inexpensive, especially compared to the chicago zoos. The cafe had standard concession stand food (burgers, dogs, etc) but wasn't stupid expensive. Can't wait to come back and will buy the family membership next time!

We have an annual membership and love going here with our son. Always clean and lots of animals to see.

As usual everything is overpriced animals are not out to be seen closing the concession stands down two hours before the place closes I'm a member that doesn't get you anything everything else cost money it's a rip-off the cages are too small it's one of the worst things I've ever been to save yourself a wasted afternoon and don't come just watch Nova

Really enjoyed this visit. The zoo has been updated and rearranged since the last time I was there. Was disappointed to see that there was only one food stand open at 11AM and that was the brew stand so couldn't take my friends kids into the seating area. The education center was closed (due to covid) and it seemed like a lot of animals weren't on exhibit. Other then that we had a great day.

Went during there promotion and it was crazy they really need to either get a bigger parking lot or don't do said promotions again it sucked tried to find a parking spot in parking lot and the surrounding 3 blocks for over an hour will not be going again

Hundreds of people packed into the Potawatomi zoo today and almost none of them wore masks or social distanced. This zoo is a cesspool of covid cases.

Love this zoo. Small but fun. Perfect size zoo for a day out. Not overwhelming like the bigger zoos.

Very family friendly zoo with a train and a carousel. The zoo is not large, but it can take most of a day to tour. Make sure to check out the otters!

My family and I love this zoo because it is engaging for the whole family, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

We enjoy this zoo very much. Many new upgrades and experiences.

This is our hometown zoo and one of our favorites. It isn't large, but it's perfect for a quick afternoon or if you really enjoy the animals, you can spend a quality amount of time at each exhibit watching them play. All the enclosure have a great view where it is easy to see the inhabitants. Currently they are expanding and significantly improving again. Even with the construction it is a great place to visit. With the parts that are completed already, you can see how nice it's going to be.

Nice place to take the kid's without breaking the bank. We choose to become a member and buy a yearly membership. We have only gone twice so far this year and once to the fort Wayne zoo where we got a 50% discount for having a membership at the Potawatomi zoo which was really nice. Overall a nice place to take the children.

Cheap, easy access, wonderful zoo. They treat their animals very well and clean the zoo often.

The zoo is beautiful; however, the food,was terrible. Overpriced and basically inedible.

Awesome zoo even in the rain. Under construction but still cool. Love it!
